But the wife DOES as the one carrying the child. Unwanted pregnancies are not black and white. The woman has to deal with all of the medical issues, body changes, costs and lost work associated with carrying a baby. Men do not. If men shared these things during pregnancy, I suspect a lot of feelings would change. The fact of the matter is that as the bearer of the child, we get to choose whether to carry that baby to term. 2	Men over 40 should NEVER get married I am a woman, live in NJ and would absolutely concur. Mid 50s. I make a good salary. There is absolutely no way I am getting remarried and would never recommend it at our age. My STBXH absolutely destroyed me monetarily, dissipated our retirement, redirected money and has been spending like a drunken sailor while I struggle to pay my share of the bills.
