Perspective on some comments / emotional affairsOh yes, totally agree. Like ive replied on all comments including to OP about some historic things ive said, not condoning the behaviour. It lacks self reflection. But we learn and grow from mistakes. But yes, i agree. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/24 05:02 PM
Perspective on some comments / emotional affairsThat happens frequently. I have experienced men behaving the same. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/24 02:12 PM
Perspective on some comments / emotional affairsAgreed. Humans are complex. In order to do that, a lot of self reflection is needed as to why they feel triggered/the need to behave that way. This is difficult to do in the middle of an argument, unless you truely know yourself. Most people dont. Im simply offering a female perspective, to the OP, who wanted a view on his wifes (female) behaviour. It would be difgicult for a man to act with a female perspective.....i know i couldnt give a male perspective on male behaviour. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/24 02:05 PM
Perspective on some comments / emotional affairsI totally agree with you. I didnt say i condoned the behaviour. I gave an honest perspective of how women sometimes behave, in fear of being abandoned. Its not delusional.....this behaviour happens and many psychologists have written about it. Sometimes it comes from fear. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/24 02:04 PM
Perspective on some comments / emotional affairsOp is asking for views on a females behaviour i gave a perspective i see most females do. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/24 01:22 PM
Perspective on some comments / emotional affairsI do not have BPD. I have had clinical evaluation via therapy for ADHD, Autism, BPD and narcissism for a variety of reasons (i believed i may have something). I have no mental health conditions other than grief and PTSD, which was from being in a difficult marriage. For clarity, i used to push my stbxh by saying "well we may as well get divorced" and similar comments. Nothing personal to him/about him or his personality until the end. This was after being treated poorly. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/24 01:15 PM
Perspective on some comments / emotional affairsYes. I didnt say its right but its common. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/24 12:55 PM
Perspective on some comments / emotional affairsAh. Thanks for the clarity. Just wanted to post a differing view as i used to act like this (although not quite like your wife) and it was because i felt like my stbxh would abandon me. Sorry for your situation OP. Still be the calm in the storm thoygh, but this time for yourself | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/24 11:19 AM
| -6 | Perspective on some comments / emotional affairsAs a female i would like to pose a different perspective. She may feel scared you will leave, so she is subconciously pushing you. Seeing if you will stay. Seeing how emotionally strong you are to weather the storm. How do you react when she is like this? Do you calmly reflect back to her, that the way she is acting isnt really who she is? That she can push all she wants put you wont go? That saying those things is hurtful and unacceptable, without attacking back? Its easy to go "well yeah, fuck… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/24 08:34 AM |
