We are looking for more signatures on the petition to remove routine infant circumcision fetish community r/CircumstraintOh my god. I was expecting some weird religious content. I had to research circumcision culture in college and never came across content like this. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 05/02/25 04:01 PM

Are gender roles stopping men from being satisfied ?Many of the “gender roles” people want to dismantle are really foreign to how I grew up. Women and men did a lot of the same things. Spaces weren’t very gendered. It was normal for women to be handy and men to watch their kids as needed. Unisex clothing was pretty normal. (I grew up in an athletic/outdoorsy community and 9-5 jobs were really rare). Neighbors went to each others houses, women, men, whatever . None of this was through feminism or progressive politics. (I am trans) And the idea of … | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 14/01/25 11:40 PM

Subreddits that breed ''male guilt'' type of people, is incredibly sad to see.I’m a man who is also FTM, and I’ve seen this from both sides IRL. Being badgered out of my male friendships because I was siding with the patriarchy. When I came out, it was a strange flip being the same person having to atone for things I’ve never been involved in. There’s the idea that healthy masculinity is non-toxic masculinity but masculinity is inherently toxic. This I only experienced second-hand because I grew up (and went to school, and worked) in unisex environments: men’s spaces, and… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/01/25 06:32 PM
The hypocrisy of "derailings"I was in a hospital during the Omicron wave and everyone was on beds in the hallways. There was an older man across the hall who was injured in a suicide attempt who kept saying he meant it. It was pretty shocking how he never shook the feeling off. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 29/12/24 11:27 PM
Any other transsexual men on here? I want to know your thoughts about how feminism and the greater LGBTQ movement does or does NOT benefit FTMs.I think it’s going to come out more especially as the general population is more exposed to therapy and the concepts of healing trauma. Weaponized finger-pointing isn’t possible when we all heal. If the tides rise, ships can’t just get pulled back down. We are not crabs in a bucket. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 29/12/24 07:56 PM
Any other transsexual men on here? I want to know your thoughts about how feminism and the greater LGBTQ movement does or does NOT benefit FTMs.Here’s some of my experiences as a trans man: There’s always been transphobia in feminist communities. My experience only dates back about 15 years but there has been soo much social progress on other issues since then, it’s the same shit in a different world. Years ago, some women loved saving me from my male friendships and all that toxicity of cis gay men (this is in SF back when it was still gay and lesbian). I was all but explicitly out as trans to my male friends and not one man batted an … | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 29/12/24 06:57 PM
Any other transsexual men on here? I want to know your thoughts about how feminism and the greater LGBTQ movement does or does NOT benefit FTMs.Yep. Back in the early 2000’s up to 2020 I experienced lots of corrective grooming and many, many unwanted sexual advances by women. I don’t mean hitting on, I mean yanking me into a bathroom stall or into a room at a party. It really bothered not all but I would say most lesbians who came into my life that I was 100% male spirited even when dressed head-to-toe in sharp women’s clothes. All my deep friendships were with men, and I was gaslit away from those connections as much as possible. The w… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 29/12/24 05:48 PM
A friendly reminder that the F in TERF does in fact stand for feminist. There is a strange dichotomy of ongoing repeated sexual assault carrying less weight than a single isolated assault. Especially since the former happens more frequently to underage people and of both sexes. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 28/12/24 08:05 PM
