My dude, did the same thing after my divorce, with someone that I had almost perfect chemistry with. We got separated after 7 years of me trying to make it work. I did jump to another relationship immediately, thinking it was all chemistry again, but within one month I felt exhausted. So then I understood that it was me, not them. I'm now doing therapy and understanding how it's all connected, my marriage, and my long lasting relationship, etc. It can be anything dormant, low self esteem, fear o…

I fear that this will turn against me, a whole new campaign like "daddy wants to take you away from me". And as said before, the only case I'd have is if mom was using substances or switching boyfriends that could potentially hurt the child. Thanks for the input. Unfortunately in my country a bad husband or wife does not mean bad parent as well. You can claim custody is in cases of drug use, abuse, etc.

I'm not sure that a 6y can handle properly this kind of information. They're very sensitive and I'm pretty sure that all this fall into the category of "shaming the other parent". Something like this could easily turn against me as kids forgive easily and can't fully understand the concept of marriage and relationships.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
