Get a second job. Nobody wants to work F-Su nights so you will have a lot of jobs to choose from.

Slow is good when you’re inexperienced. Completing MSF course doesn’t make you an experienced rider. A CBR650R is a really powerful bike.

Go for it but start with something like a CBR250 to get used to it then trade up to a bigger bike.

I wish my dad was alive long enough to give me advice about marriage. He passed before I even had a serious girlfriend.

Why couldn’t you get 50/50 custody? At least in my state, if the kids don’t stay overnight means she has 100% custody and you’ll get hit hard with child support. I have an every other week set up and on her week, I work like crazy. Keeps my mind off of things and made up for the financial losses.

Did you build up the 401K during the entirety of the marriage? The balance before the wedding would be your only.

It's absolutely ridiculous how women nowadays constantly texting and demanding attentions. My ex would get mad because I don't text her during the day. We saw each other before and after work, I don't need to talk unless necessary. This is why the minute they get attentions from other guys, they ditch us. Texting is the most addictive thing ever invented for women.

Buy a bass boat and start bass fishing. If you aren’t fishing, you’ll be tinkering with your gears or watching fishing videos, no time for boredom.

It would be so much better if I can improve my situation where I am currently. I’ve been trying and failing for 3 yrs. Plus, the winter weather is making me more sick every year. The severity and duration of being sick increase year after year. I’ve lived here all my life and I’ve got to get out.

I grill a lot and have learned to master the grill and make just about anything tastes good on it. It’s super quick to grill a single burger, a steak, pork chop, chicken breast, fish filet, etc..

Absolutely! I’m going to teach my sons to look at the mother of the girl they are with. That girl will look and behave just like her mother. My dad taught me many many things but I wish he would have taught me something about women.

I’m also 47 and the 40’s hell even 30’s women in my area look terrible. Call me shallow or whatever but I can’t bring myself to match with them. The few decent looking ones only go for tall, dark, handsome, rich, lambo driving doctors. I’ve completely given up dating.
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/24 03:52 AM

What with the traveling man? Every fucking one of them is looking for a traveling partner. As if traveling is free or cheap. The 40’s and up are all overweight fatties. I just can’t do it. The fit and decent looking ones are only interested in 6’3” Brad Pitt with no kids. The dating world is broken.

If you have a large amount built up prior to the marriage, make sure they only split that portion. I tried to get my retirement company to do it that way but by either laziness or incompetence, they split the entire amount. She got an extra 9 years worth of contributions and interest.

Well, my friend and I have very oddly similar situations with a few minor differences. Both of our wives were much younger and hot. We just didn’t think about it thoroughly, and to be honest, no one warned us about the danger of marriage. We are from the pre-social media generation so we are old-school still, and the ex’s were totally immersed in that shit. They are brainwashed by false realities. We couldn’t really relate to them in a lot of ways so it caused lot of problems. We just don’t see …

I once had a conversation with a stripper. She’s the best looking 40 years old I’ve ever met. She told me the reasons that she isn’t tied down and wants to stay single because she likes her freedoms and the attentions she gets from men. So maybe your answer is to become a male stripper

Keep yourself busy is a good way to take your mind off of things. I got a WFH tech job also and between that, trading stock options, 2 part time jobs, a motorcycle and tournament bass fishing. I got no time to feel bad. If anything, I’m glad that am not married anymore.

I personally know of 3 men that abandoned their kids. Two of my best friends dads abandoned them but remained in contact with them. My friends don’t hate their dad. I had a gf with a dad that abandoned her and her brother when she was about 5. She found him when in her mid 20’s. They meet and he apologized. He was in a much better place then and they reconnected happily.

Hair cut, checked. She must have like my bald head. Good tips on the fresh outfit. What if she asks if I have kids? Probably not good thing to lie about it. As far as knocking anyone up, I ain’t gotta worry about that. The gas has been shut off if you know what I mean 😀 after the second kid.

The main thing is to not feel sorry for yourself. Stay busy, work harder, make more money. You won’t have time to think about water under the bridge stuff anymore. I hustle more than I ever have before, financially better shape than before and even started fishing bass tournaments again.

You can do it man. Try to be as amicable as possible is your most important thing to do. Get her to agree to a 50/50 custody of the kids, offer to pay for the kids health insurance and all school expenses, 50/50 split of other childcare expenses. I went this route and with my state uses a formula to figure child support and alimony, I don’t pay any supports. I cut back all unnecessaries. On the weeks the kids are not with me, I work 3 jobs. Actually 4 jobs but I’m working on making the 4th the m…

Do you live close to each other? My kids alternate week at my and her house. On her week, she drops them off at my house in the morning and picks up in the afternoon. The kids get on/off the bus at my house only.

I agree with the guy that said Asian men have so much going against them in the dating world. The online females don’t want to date Asian men, even the Asian women want Caucasian men. Get over your fear of escort, so much less effort and still cheaper than a relationship. Buy a truck and a bass boat and whatever money you have left, spend it on an escort when you want to get laid. As far as lowering expectations, I’d rather jerk off than have sex with a fat ugly middle age woman.
/r/Divorce_Men26/02/23 06:52 PM

Simple, women cannot be pleased. They expect men to be creatures that we are not capable of being.

This is about the same for me. Also, my kids have enough clothes, shoes, etc..at both houses that I luckily haven’t had to think about this issue.

Sounds a lot like immaturity at play here. She has 3 mil inheritance and spends your income? Why can’t she spend the inheritance? You make 440K but can’t afford a house? She paid for another house and put your name on the title also? Like suggested above, y’all need financial counseling badly.

My ex is being cool and made a very amicable no contest agreement. She didn’t want CS or alimony, moved out of our house instead of making me move. No hostility between us as we are navigating the co- parenting journey. Unlike my co-worker’s ex who is a complete monster, screwing him every possible way.

True but there comes a point where it’s worth it. In my case, I can’t take the shits no more and made peace with losing half of everything. I know a guy who is afraid of the costs and has been dealing with an absolute POS of a woman for many years. He probably hasn’t got laid since he impregnated her 18 yrs ago. It takes a very special person or mentally fucked up to put up with a failed marriage that many years

You can be married and be happy but you have to make sure she is at least equal to you in income and assets. Make sure she has friends and hobbies so she can leave you some space. Date as many as possible so you can figure out what type fits you the best. DO NOT fall in love and marry the first one you get with. Most importantly, no pre-nup = no go. Pro tips: if you want to see what her future self is like, look at her mother.

My ex and I lived together for 6 months while going thru our uncontested divorce. I hired a lawyer specialized in uncontested divorce. The cost was $1350, this includes drawing up the settlement agreement, custody, support and assets, 401K division agreement. The process was very smooth since the ex and I stayed very amicable. She was reasonable when she moved out but I told her she can take anything she wants which further reduced drama.

Well…keep them somewhere like suggested if you don’t ever planning on getting in another long term relationship. Me, I’d get rid of them all because I don’t want to have to answer why I keep them later down the road. We all know if a woman ask this question, no answer is good enough.

Let’s break the cycle and teach our sons to not marry women that aren’t financially equal to them and do not let their wives to be a SAHM. If women stand to lose just as much, they will think hard about divorce.

The only thing that I could negotiate for is give her all of the equity of our house. If she would agree to it, would be less than half of the 401K. Originally we agreed to split the equity 50/50. I didn’t have to trade off anything since she was the one saying she doesn’t want any part of my saving at first.
