This isn't a post by an American woman, she's Nigerian. A lot of women in Africa think like this and in some cultures you are required to pay the family to marry their daughter. This isn't a western idea, plenty of women in Africa will think they should do absolutely nothing in their marriage and plenty of men have been told their whole lives that it's the way it should be. This is a cultural issue

Holy fuck this is a horrible post. Anyone ever heard of time and place? In certain situations it's ok to engage with strangers and in others it would be uncomfortable. This can also change depending on people's personal preferences. Example: Approaching a girl in the street=always creepy. Approaching a girl at the bar=not creepy but proceed with caution and accept rejection if it happens.
