| – | CMV: What’s the point of marriage when it only benefits women? One of the commentors on this thread was bragging about all that she does for her husband...cooks...cleans...takes care of medical etc. My situation wasn't quite that good....but decent. So my point is....in the absence of my wife cheating (which is a huge qualifyer), in retrospect, i.would definitely get married and stay married. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/04/23 11:44 AM |
| – | CMV: What’s the point of marriage when it only benefits women?Do you want kids? That's why I got married. Ex wife wanted to get married, I didnt but wanted kids..boom...married. Sure I suppose I could have searched for the attractive 10% of the 5% of female population that was cool to have kids without being married but just marrying a woman I like and was an attracted to seemed like an easier solution at age 31. Now at 41, I am exactly as you described. Turned out, she "wasn't happy" aka midlife crisis and an urge to bang new dudes with the support of her… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/04/23 11:38 AM |
CMV: We have turned relationships into leisure, most relationships are no longer focused on starting a family or working towards a common goal, as a result people are naturally gonna get pickier with their optionsYou'll get crap for this comment but its true. People think they deserve more than they do and most would be happier with a mostly compatible partner. It's idealistic and stupid to think you can find that perfect person. They don't exist. In time...things will annoy you about anyone, but idealists hold out hope for that perfect person and ignore a variety of opportunities in the pursuit of perfection and ultimate happiness all while ignoring the obvious fact that they also have personality flaws… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/04/23 11:09 AM
CMV: We have turned relationships into leisure, most relationships are no longer focused on starting a family or working towards a common goal, as a result people are naturally gonna get pickier with their optionsI generally tend to agree so wont try to CYV. Supplementally, as a divorced man who has seen both sides, I have learned through my experience and what else I have witnessed, that grass is greener theory is SPOT ON. Last 3/4 years woth ex wife....she was constantly pulling away...probably cheating etc. All of her friends and family...same thing... Now I'm single on a dating app, and just about every woman makes it abundantly clear generally early into our chatting our dates that they are in it fo… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/04/23 10:51 AM
Why should women want traditionalism? What's in it for them?Pretty level head there and appreciate of what you have. Recipe for success. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/04/23 10:37 AM
Why should women want traditionalism? What's in it for them? The question itself provides some of the answer, particularly if children are involved. "Whats in it for me?" I mean...a guy could take that same attitude. Why should I only sleep with this one woman when my body says sleep with as many possible? Because in being committed to this woman, which is what she wanted and what we agreed to when we got married, ought to provide me/my children with some level of stability. Traditionalism provides a foundation. The way you describe it is very 1950s, bare… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/04/23 10:32 AM
Are most western women going to marry most western men in the future?Well articulated synopsis of the situation. This is the dynamic and difference between a China and US. Also the reason why they had an aggressive sometimes militant response to Corona versus US response. It was better for the collective than the individual and that was understood by their population. And yes, more like US in 1950s, if you werent married with kids at 35....whats wrong with you? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/04/23 09:47 AM
Would you date an Onlyfans model or a woman in the Sex work industry?Date or marry? I mean porn star/only fans with 500k followere or corner prostitute? Big difference. End game, for me, none are marryable and all might be dateable depending...they wouldn't be ruled out simply based on that. I mean, particularly the popular porn start/only fans woman...they are there bc guys want to F them right? Now I am the guy Fing them? Sure...I am in. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/04/23 09:34 AM
Q4M - Is fit, feminine, friendly, and cooperative REALLY all you're asking for?I would take righteous, moral all day over "cooperative and/submissive". I had fit, feminine, submissive. Sex when I wanted etc. Maybe that works for a FWB or a gf, but in a wife, you need some level of righteousness and that from what I can see and what I have witnessed is increasingly rare. And Fit, fun, feminine also will display to the broader male population which always puts that relationship more at risk without morality. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/04/23 12:15 PM
Got a window into average woman's dating life. It was an absolute shockNot even remotely surprising. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/04/23 11:50 AM
Got a window into average woman's dating life. It was an absolute shockYou are referring to hierarchy of needs and you are correct. And yes, physiologically speaking, women are less likely to be on the streets. Look around any major city. Mainly dudes begging. Women can sleep their way out of it, even really gross ones and be taken on by a guy. While that may be their rock bottom (for the most part-some are still on streets), if you told a bunch of male junkies that they could bang fat women and get free rent and food, you wouldn't see as many on the street. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/04/23 11:49 AM
Studies saying women are "happier single" than men are extremely misleadingGood snyposis....particularly as it relates to average and above women and the bottom 75% of men. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/04/23 11:34 AM
