There was a great book my Mark Manson called Models - in it he basically dictates that you have a type, and your type is into you. As such, only 'attractive' girls will be into you. Having said that, your definition of attractive is different from everyone else's definition of attractive. Go after the girls you like and you'll have a great time. Good point - after all, if the girl is judging a man's guts, him sounding drunk doesn't help much. However, being calm and collected, sipping on diet Pepsi and chatting can be very attractive. She'll ask you where you're friends are to see that you have a few, but otherwise, you pass the sniff test.

Not bad but there are tons of guys at the gym who are big and strong and aren't getting laid. You're chalking it up to looks but it's more like social status.
