even if I landed the hottest guy possible, if I knew he was sleeping with me because I had essentially tricked him and done some sort of mating signaling or something.... I'd feel pretty hollow pretty quickly. Like, he doesn't even like me for anything remotely close to who I actually am. And it would be exhausting to keep up that facade in addition to slowly eating away at my soul. The counter belief is "no attractive person could ever love the actual person I am inside." This is a critical thi…

Cool. As an autistic man unable to form relationships I guess I'll just go tilt off my balcony and yeet out of here then. Thx

C'mon man. If you don't want women to ask you for your perspective and build empathy for you, then what do you want?

I think about all the cool humans in my life who happen to be women, and how I want them to thrive and be happy. Getting girl friends (and not girlfriends) is such a good antidote for the sexist ragebait everywhere. I block media sources with lots of sexism. Subreddits, YouTube channels, etc. If the misogynists take over this sub then it's getting blocked, too. I don't respect misandrists. More and more I just don't give a fuck what they say because they're stupid. (Of course, when they wield po…

Many / most men with "good careers" don't expect or demand the same in a partner.

I agree, but it's ironic that men are the ones who talk about it the most.

There's plenty of good-faith criticism to be made without being gross. This ain't the way.

The media coverage isn’t really mgtow but the incels... the general public is comparing incels vs 4B as opposed to mgtow... the complaint you’re seeing isn’t 4B vs mgtow but 4B vs incels... What a weird rhetorical karate move. It feels like you're denying that 4B and MGTOW are comparable, and insisting that 4B instead be compared to incels. Because "4B vs Incels" makes women seem good, while "4B vs MGTOW" makes women seem like men who the establishment has scorned and demonized. --- Top google s…

This is the point I was originally making. Many (not all) women get the ick when men do anything that seems weak or low status or uncool. But when, for example, a reddit thread points out that this is shallow and narcissistic, many women will then say they only "get the ick" when men do anything that seems cruel or dangerous. They say that women don't get the ick about weak or low status or uncool men, that this is a fake talking point. But they're just pulling a Motte & Bailey.

"I know some Dutch people who are shorter than some Japanese people. So it's ridiculous to say that Dutch people are taller than Japanese people."

People use the Motte & Bailey in every debate and argument. It's super common. Very helpful to have a name for it, though.

Red flags? Isn't that supposed to be signals that the person is abusive or undependable?

women are attracted to the ‘vibe’ of someone (translate: social skills!) I was crazy about him because he was also the funniest dude I had ever met, just the charisma he had This is a big asymmetry. Women can be awkward and still find love. Men can't.

This reminds me of the recent media coverage of the 4B movement (the coverage is all praise, saying it's empowering, these women are great, etc etc), versus the media coverage of "Men Going Their Own Way" (they're terrible losers, they hate women, they're disgusting, they're dangerous). Both of these are exactly the same thing. People in one gender being upset about politics associated with the other gender, and then just deciding to not pursue that other gender. Exact same thing. When women do …

online “lifestyle” content that creates unrealistic and unhealthy versions of lives and homes that are edited and curated to look perfect. People consume this content and forget that it’s all smoke and mirrors and start to feel as though being normal and having a real life and home is substandard and that they are failing. Ditto the “fitness” gurus who edit all if their poses and pics and the “beauty” influencers, mommy bloggers etc. etc. etc. all the way down to the random FB folks who carefull…

Had a few sessions with a therapist but chose to stop. He talked a lot, didn't ask many questions.

Its easy for men to get relationships if they're a decent person because all they need to do is be kind and genuine, talk to women and have a job. I've run this experiment and proven it false

Different things affect people differently. You don't feel the same level of fear and shame that other people do in the same circumstance. So it's like you're playing sports under different forces of gravity.
