I never see this except with regards to extreme weight (from both men and women), but the big difference is that weight is controllable, while general looks are not. Anyone can considerably improve their general attractiveness simply by losing weight and getting into a healthy weight range, which can be done entirely through diet. Meanwhile nobody can change their face, hair, height, etc. The other controllable factors are clothes, style, and some parts of personality.
