Women think they can smell "guys like me" a mile away. Trust me. In some cases, they don't have a clue. it does feel a bit like that sometimes.

this is basic evolutionary psychology.

yes, violating social norms is only socially acceptable from physically attractive people (based on science)
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/21 10:59 AM

yes, but some people don't understand this and just never grow up, it's painful to watch.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/21 09:35 AM

in Elliot Rodger's case, yes. grabs starbucks vanilla latte.

at least they try to make interesting discussions

it's kind of hilarious though when the same women who judge and devalue men proudly admit to being nymphomaniacs on this sub.

it must hurt to be that dumb. thinking the world revolves around someone is typical of BPD. you don't seem able to understand fundamental aspects of science that don't match your view on gender
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 08:46 PM
3

there are 2 genders in most cultures, based on evolutionary biology.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 08:45 PM
2

if science isn't verifiable proof to you (apparently you didn't read the OP) nothing is but your comments alone are verifiable proof of severe narcissism and BPD.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 08:40 PM
2

accepting or not accepting science is more of a mindset that you're either too immature to internalize or just don't understand. when there's science proving me wrong that means I'd change my viewpoint on that topic
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 08:37 PM
2

most evolutionary biology assumes there are 2 genders, as the article linked in the OP points out.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 08:34 PM
2

google any scientific article because the red pill leverages all science, but social science changes all the time and gets cherrypicked by feminists to support their views.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 08:23 PM
2

more science than your immature brain could fathom.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 08:20 PM

TRP isn't based on feelings, maybe your BPD is.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 08:19 PM

if there was actual hard science backing the existence of more than 2 genders, it would be good to acknowledge them but it seems that people want to use it to elevate themselves, enabling narcissism is bad for society.

I think in this day and age we are becoming too spoiled and increasingly immature again, like people in 1930s nazi Germany. Many of us may harbour these kind of thoughts while not expressing them directly.

"kindness (personality), intelligence, smelling good (aka hygiene) all being important factors in mate selection for women." women care about these traits only when a man meets a minimum threshold of physical attractiveness.

what's wrong with spreading truth and posting data from dating apps? I thought this was a very good post. people lie a lot on online dating though so it'd be better to have swipe data.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/21 05:52 PM

you can take an IQ test again and it'll be kind of similar to the last one, that's why I dont think it's an accurate measure of fluid intelligence which is supposed to be about divergent thinking and not being prepared for the test.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/21 10:10 PM
2

that's crystallized intelligence. there's also fluid intelligence, which isn't measured by the IQ test. the test-retestability of IQ tests makes it a poor measure of intelligence imo.

they're not really hallmarks of intelligence, just a hallmark of self-efficacy
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/21 08:57 AM

this is painfully accurate. good relationships aren't balance sheets where sex is the only thing on the woman's half. a little bit of (self-) respect and basic communication skills aren't just nice to have, they're crucially important.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/21 08:37 PM

someone didn't get the memo that low-value (narcissistic/lookist) women are kind of sad and pitiful.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/21 08:20 PM
2

while making a decent point, he doesn't quite see the full picture due to being old. the current dating market is arguably shittier than in times when men 'hunted food' and 'fought wars'. Add to that a mental health crisis that could potentially be helped by Virtual reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/21 06:33 PM
1

the amount of incels is growing because of Tinder, OLD and narcissism. Simple logic. Evolutionary psychology is science and proves what I said. I don't think you have enough brain cells to even read 1 scientific article, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/21 06:02 PM

Despite OP desparately wanting TRP to be full of misogyny, TRP follows actual science, not some cherrypicked articles from weird sites, which shows that DT types vastly dominate the SMP, mostly thanks to OLD and social media. it also shows that not all women are like this, some 10-20% aren't which is still a shockingly low number.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/21 03:12 AM
1

yes. DT/ low-value men mainly attract DT/low value-women. it's true that these men are more favored for hookups, whereas nice personalities are desired more for relationships and the RMP is pretty much dead so pretty much all of the sex (80-90%) is had by these people.

there are at least 4 million scholarly articles/books on virtue out there so I wouldn't say that's an unscientific topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 03:05 AM
1

apparently you don't. The Socratic method (also known as method of Elenchus, elenctic method, or Socratic debate) is a form of cooperative argumentative dialogue between individuals, based on asking and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking and to draw out ideas and underlying presuppositions.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 02:54 AM
1

a comedian criticizing scientific debates doesn't make those debates unscientific. Science is about concepts at its core.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 02:53 AM
1

Aristophones was a comedy-writer. don't even know what your point is. A lot of non-scientists have come up with scientific breakthroughs throughout history. already pointed out that the socratic method is the same as the scientific method.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 02:48 AM
1

philosophy was science in those days, now it isn't. any topic could be scientific, even gender is considered a scientific topic now.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 02:35 AM
1

it's possible to debate scientific topics without knowing everything about that field. in that way, the socratic method was the same as the scientific method except that socrates just wasn't in a lab with instruments.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 02:32 AM

yeah from 1000 bc to 300 AD there must have been some in cultures that had science, but this post just has no sources whatsoever.

the dating market got changed a lot by the 80/20 rule and female selectivity, clearly.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/21 10:46 PM

tbf that's mostly from the women on this subreddit. Idk how you missed all the topics about the 80/20 rule, and in what way that's disconnected from reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/21 06:03 PM

agreed, I personally just almost turned misogynystic because of the level of toxicity and seeing these depressing studies
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 08:20 PM
1

it's also science that people on dating apps are higher on Dark Triad/narcissistic traits than the average person, and narcissists value extraversion. Dating sites/apps are not designed for introverts. it's best to have a partner with roughly the same extraversion level.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 01:05 AM

yes but I don't agree personally with what's being considered rude in society and what isn't. to me casting people out would be rude.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/21 10:05 PM

Why was Facebook created? To find out who was single, in a relationship, and how you could hook up with others... that's what it was created for. actually it was created because Mark Zuckerberg wanted to connect with his college dorm mates. "To say 80/20 rule, it doesn't really apply... it's 90/10 right now (even based on your own talking points it's 95/5)." you can never know the exact number, I'm just pointing out is an uneven distribution. I doubt facebook was used for that to the same degree as Tinder which has 50 million+ users. 80/20 is proven by a lot of studies and data from dating apps, this one is the most important. it's hard data, not self-report BS either. attractiveness follows a normal distribution on dating apps, and people can be ranked from most to least attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/21 09:22 PM
2

I don't think you realize tinder didn't have to come into being or become popular, it's a byproduct of advancing technological possibilities and feminism encouraging women to be promiscuous and low-value. women on tinder really aren't treating an average looking guy the same as an attractive guy, did you know women do swipe left on 95% of the profiles they see on tinder? and that's not because those guys haven't got a good enough bio or pictures, that's all a lie.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/21 08:47 PM
3

"Things will be more favorable toward men soon." that doesn't necessarily need to be the case, it's a matter of how much more we're going to let feminism devalue women and society at large. Also how many women are into hookup culture and ruining the dating market.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/21 08:01 PM
1

they want someone that gives them free supply, but at the same time they want 'the ideal love', so they keep looking out for better options. Their relationships are very ambivalent and transactional and dysfunctional, but since society at large is narcissistic they work out, because narcissists all have the same mindset, so they understand each other on a fundamental level and tolerate each other more.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/21 07:32 PM
1

"Set aside the fact that I personally believe true love really exists - does anybody else think this TRP thinking is undercomplex? And that value is a inherently subjective term, even "though pricing may be not?" Afaik TRP has nothing to do with the existence of SMV but yes, if people'd leave each other alone more as to what they find attractive and stop gaslighting, that would be good. Value and attraction are indeed subjective, but SMV isn't.

tinder launched as a dating app and quickly became known a hookup app. vulnerable and malignant aren't degrees, they are types. a vulnerable narcissist can oscillate to grandiose states, which isn't to say that's a 'worse' form of narcissism, it's different. calling someone a narcissist doesn't mean they have NPD, cuz only 1% of people actually have NPD, whereas probably the vast majority of people have narcissistic traits nowadays.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 02:28 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 02:25 PM

tinder launched as a dating app and quickly became known a hookup app. narcissism is a spectrum. NPD is a clinical diagnosis. DT traits means subclinical narcissism, machiavallianism and psychopathy. On the high end of the spectrum would be malignant narcissism, on the low end vulnerable narcissism. There are no degrees to the diagnosis, although NPD has more grandiose than vulnerable traits.

it's in table 3, shows autistic men have less sex than the control group. they might not have accounted for the fact that asexuality is higher for invididuals with ASD as well though. I'm diagnosed ASD and I'd say I have a profoundly different view on sexuality than others, for me sharing a bond with someone is more important.

the negative nature of everyone*, women are as psychopathic at heart as men. just expressing it differently, less violently normally. You put anyone in a position of power, like women on dating apps, they're gonna act entitled and shitty. famous example would be the stanford prison experiment but this is proven in psychology, there's a societal rise in narcissism, psychopathy and sadism so what's there really to do but enjoy the decline while working towards a goal that you've set.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/21 07:25 PM

they're important, but it's pointless to dwell on that fact. I'm not blackpilled but the incels got that stuff right.

they are, I just doubt the validity of these self-report studies. 40% of people have sex 2-3 times a week, seems like a pretty high number to me, given that 20% of the men supposedly have 50-60% of the sex according to a recent study.
/r/BlackPillScience17/10/21 05:26 PM

looks are important and related to social status. being attractive gives you a lot of free passes in life. facial symmetry, large jawline, prominent brow ridge, feminized face shape etc are considered attractive. I agree that western women have quite a big ego though. Seems to me like looks are just the bottom line, but it's really not enough, good personality, good career, money, status are all prerequisites, but looks are by far the most important.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/21 05:10 PM
1

7 out of 8 people are introverts, even some extraverts struggle with social anxiety which is pretty devastating. it points out that western society puts big emphasis on extraversion, even though the research literature (which is already biased towards western, more extraverted societies) doesn't support that it's a virtue in any way.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/21 09:04 PM

I got it from this video, Dr Ramani is a professor of psychology, expert on narcissism and licensed psychologist so she would be a pretty good authority on the subject.

dating studies have found that it's true that women really aren't held to the same standards in OLD, and it's the average that matters. 72% of men aren't game addicts and neets, but 7 out of 8 people are introverts. they just aren't as prominent on social media and OLD. Men are being directly compared to one another, thanks to online dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/21 08:16 PM

it just won't improve your social skills, they should be improved in gradual steps, trying improv rightaway would be too big of a step.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/21 08:02 PM

someone who is struggling with social skills shouldn't attempt improv, rather find a hobby and pursue it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/21 06:22 PM

I don't mind that but I dislike hypocrisy, intellectual dishonesty and pathological lying. it often leads to willful ignorance.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/21 06:07 PM
1

yes. dumb men also. one narcissist can drag down an entire group or society. it just takes a small amount of delusional feminists to create a society where stupidity, narcissism and psychopathy get rewarded while the most anyone does to stop it is writing some angry tweet about it. high-end narcissists can do a lot of damage.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/21 12:23 AM
4

quite the opposite, women only judge a man who is acting badly negatively when that man isn't physically attractive, it's called the 'double-devil effect'. also, a physically attractive person will get assigned other positive traits, known as the halo effect
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/21 04:53 PM
2

this. in self-report studies there's always a social desirability bias and even if it wasn't for that, most people probably wouldn't be honest due to being egodystonic.

here's the okc blog from 2010, have you gone on OLD? maybe you were just unlucky so far, because this data shows height is really important, a guy who is 6 feet 1 gets 2x more messages than a guy who is 5 feet 5 (18.5 cm difference)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/21 03:04 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 02:08 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/21 04:53 PM

the app itself is free but for an average person to have succes u need gold, boosts, to have 1% of the matches of someone who is 10% more attractive than you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/21 03:50 AM
2

"Tinder is in the business of creating long lasting relationships; think again. " that is the problem with all dating sites and apps, people are actually getting perks for getting more matches, so it's a very uneven distribution meant to create hookups for the top 5-20% of most attractive men, not LTRs.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/21 03:35 AM

what I'm saying is, the collective narcissism comes out in dating as hypergamy because everyone feels like they deserve better so it becomes a 'race to the top'
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 11:24 PM
1

it's the tendency to exaggerate the positive image and importance of a group to which one belongs, also ostracizing people that don't belong to one's group.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 11:15 PM

Online dating is a HUGE part of the full range of dating, that's the entire point you just cannot grasp. I understand very well that your narcissism and stupidity caused you to learn psychological terms that you really don't understand the meaning of to project and gaslight your own insecurities, hiding your own confirmation bias. did you check if you have a brain yet?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 10:07 PM
2

it does suggest that women want hookups. men do too, I didnt say they didn't. it's correct. it doesn't matter who lies more when women have virtually always the last say in OLD, and the toxic preferences come out. only caring about height, looks, masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 10:00 PM
1

i'm extrapolating from people to people regardless of whether they're using dating apps. online dating does cover the full variation of people, in spite of some 'types' of people being overrepresented like cluster B-types. you failed at your one chance in life to apply a term you learned in college even though you no clue what it means. the reason there's an unequal gender ratio is the same one that the 80/20 rule is true. you might wanna check if you have a brain before writing another comment.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 09:54 PM
2

what about all of evoluationary psychology proves that? see dual mating. men and women lie equally but it's not the same when there's a toxic power differential in favor of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 09:43 PM
1

I'm not extrapolating it to chimps, I'm extrapolating it to people around the world, specifically in western societies that really have the same dating culture. Someone from the US can literally match with someone from Australia on tinder in a heartbeat. Even a country like Saudi Arabia has tinder. Please learn the correct plural of the word penis, cuz in your circles that's a useful thing to know it seems.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 09:37 PM
2

it seems as though there's a toxic societal tendency in a lot of cultures to stigmatize being single or a virgin though.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 09:01 PM
11

of course it's increasing, all one needs to do is look at the data from dating apps. collective narcissism is bad and creates scapegoats and oppression of minorities in society.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 08:26 PM
2

because it's partly their nature and the 3rd wave of feminism is probably a big influence (sexual liberation). ofc the technology just amplifies that. plenty of guys are looking for relationships, if you knew the laws of economics, you'd understand that it's easy with the click of a button to filter out guys that aren't.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 07:45 PM

you're failing miserably on stats. there's no selection bias, actually 30% is a very good sample size. 10% is already a good sample size. they gotta update those damn stats courses, you're not getting anything.

nope. honestly, a lot of religious people and americans don't really understand statistics. this doesn't leave out demographics, it includes demographics.

'succesful in love'? you're just completely losing it now. again, this is all Americans and I didn't talk about being partnered or not.

Tinder became a hookup app because women wanted that. there are plenty of ways to ghost, cut off or get off the app, plus anyone with a brain can expect that men on dating apps are high in DT traits. it's very easy for them to get relationships on dating sites or apps, plenty of guys on there are looking for that and you can just ignore the ones that aren't.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 07:34 PM

10% is a good sample size, so what would 30% be? pretty good.

if they want a hookup they can get it, but if they want a relationship instead they can have that too. Tinder didn't become a hookup app because women wanted relationships.

"I doubt you can say much about "true nature" when the majority of women don't even use OLD. " of course you can, the data is extremely clear on this. I've yet to see a psychology study that sampled the entire human population, "when all anyone has to go on is a few pictures and short bio for example." you don't have to go on anything. as someone pointed out here recently, women are the gatekeepers of sex so the reason tinder exists as a hookup app is largely because women want it. toxic prefere…

superficiality is conceptualized as relying on first impressions and immediate judgments. LVW on dating apps swipe left 95% of profiles on tinder, and they don't take long to do it. it's all about physical attractiveness, height, socio-economic status is also a big one. Men could be superficial in different ways but judging people on looks alone is toxic.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/21 10:43 PM

the argument is mostly true, as the 80/20 rule is proven by data from dating apps. it shouldn't be used as an excuse to use violence though.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/21 05:39 PM

because or narcissism. narcissists know deep down that their 'attractiveness' (only to other narcs)/sexuality is the only thing they really bring to the table (they have the personality of a toddler), so they shouldn't give it out easily.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/21 12:34 AM

yeah some people date down because of that, but honestly assortive mating is the best option, and don't just look at appearance because if 1 partner does that, then so will the other one and it's not a solid foundation for a relationship.

yeah I don't know, seems like someone just put in their personal data so it's not saying much about the general distribution, fact remains the 80/20 rule has more or less been proven by now.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/21 08:48 PM
1

I think it is from a custom app someone built to extract swipe stats from someone's personal tinder data. I saw the 60/20 study too, and I don't think it's completely wrong. it's possible to experimentally extrapolate, knowing that feminists would twist the data anyway even if it was 20/60. "do other dudes really swipe right on half of girls? Not doubting it but that seems hilariously high." I think they do and always have done since the beginning of OLD based on the studies I've seen.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/21 08:32 PM

yes but we also know that women tend to downplay their own promiscuity and that study was self-reported iirc, so the 95/5 data based on swipes (from this year) could be saying more.

yes that is the narrative. but choice causes anxiety. girls feel deep down they aren't really entitled to rejecting 19 out of 20 guys, and they aren't. so it actually devalues women by creating the illusion that they can and should get away with anything: sadism, poor hygiene, being hyper entitled, immature, stealing money. this just doesn't relate to reality and they end up having to pursue a 'HVM', while the HVM should really be pursuing them. of course not all women are going on dating apps an…

within feminist circles that is encouraged under the guise of 'sexual liberation', or even frowned upon when someone is not promiscuous. there was a study posted here a week or so ago that showed college women are promiscuous because they 'wanted to improve their chance of finding a long-term mate'. apparently, that's because some guys nowadays don't want to date a woman with a low n-count.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 01:04 AM

I'm not saying there's no choice, it's cultural enabling. click on those links, you've clearly not got a clue what you're talking about. one example of promoting promiscuity (I don't have any fragments but they sometimes literally say that's a good thing), is the massive blame-shifting, lying, gaslighting (pretending all men are rapists), while failing to acknowledge that there are underlying psychological reasons (narcissism, borderline, sadism), external reasons (technology, social media). all…

pretty much all mainstream media and social media adhere to a left-wing feminist narrative in western societies, continuing on the 2nd wave of feminism and sexual liberation in the 60s, over here on reddit there's r/FemaleDatingStrategy.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 12:36 AM
5

yes but women are making the choice to be promiscuous in part because society at large (feminism) is enabling this and promoting that narrative. although I do agree that they are just exercising their free will. the birth control pill has also influenced this. it seems almost taboo to discuss today's women's promiscuity though, which is just a statistical fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 12:28 AM

"but if one is better in most people’s eyes," what's your source that 'most people' think it's 'good' that a lot of women are promiscuous nowadays? seems to me like a small number of extremely low-value feminists are promoting this idea and claiming all the attention. there are still enough women who don't go along with this though (nawalt), even though a shit ton of irrepairable damage has been done by feminism to western societies and women's value.

blue collar jobs won't really get automated anytime soon. I don't think there is a wage gap, more like a skill gap. men tend to be the ones who work just a little bit harder and better on average, at least before the 3rd wave of feminism. with women replacing men across all fields of the labour market, there's gonna be a new equilibrium. this could be bad as women are sometimes not willing to fully take on the responsibilities that come with high-paying jobs.

your siblings aren't representative of the entire world. your sister-in-law changing her beliefs is more likely due to her narcissism. people are equally narcissistic across the political spectrum. if you go by the five-factor model of personality (FFM), which is a scientific model that works globally, you'd see that 2 people that are both high on the trait of openness to experience, which includes the facet of liberalism, match well. /r/PurplePillDebate25/09/21 05:58 PM

or.. do tinder and other dating apps amplify and reveal women's toxic preferences in a way that's irreversible, after all 30% of people go on OLD and there's no clear distinction between those that do and dont.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/21 12:40 AM
1

if women on tinder rejecting 95% of guys on tinder isn't pickiness, idk what is. yes this same type of women will go on reddit and youtube and be rude towards incels and men who're less succesful with women to get their narcissistic supply. the correct response is to point out this hypocrisy and that they're not really holding themselves to the same standards when it comes to attractiveness, I find them very offputting and they're killing all sexual energy too if you look at it objectively.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/21 12:07 AM

the dehumanization of incels and extreme pickiness and hypocrisy of LVW, the same women who chase extremely attractive men with a lot of money and of high status, is pretty common.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 11:04 PM
1

it's 0.2% cuz girls match with 2% of guys, then a lot of those guys they don't respond to, ghost, or don't show up to the date. it's not made up, it's tinder data from this year pulled from their huge userbase of 50million+ people, u fucking dumb cunt.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 07:59 PM

I literally explained that in the other comment. the gender ratio is even 80/20, but the data shows that women just reject 95% of men on tinder, then they could unmatch or ghost someone or not show up to the date.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 10:42 PM

1 in 500 means a 0.2% chance of going on 1 date. didn't think I'd have to explain that simple a statistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 10:34 PM
6

a girl could even still reject a guy after there's a match, actually that's extremely common. and girls only match with 2% of guys. what does that leave us with? for an average guy to even go on a first date with a girl, it could be as small as a 1 in 500 chance.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 10:24 PM
21

also, new tinder data shows women instantly reject 95% of guys on tinder, men only reject 50% of women and this is unrelated to how many women there are. if there were more women on tinder, men would still reject 50% according to studies.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 09:33 PM
4

data confirm it. it has nothing to do with money, anyone can set up a tinder with a 30 dollar phone. women are very picky now, because they have more choice available. if you can't follow this simple of a logic you must be retarded.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/21 07:22 PM

"the top 20% of the most sexually active never-married young men have about 50-60% of the sex." also, given that women are hypergamous, you can deduce an additional 20-30% would go for these men but never end up sleeping with them, which confirms the 80/20 distribution. it's simple statistics, not some incel fabrication. okc data prove this. "Like I said there is correlations just like there is with other mental disorders." no. there is no correlation with other mental disorders, there is correlation with CLUSTER B personality disorders. that wasn't my argument, I just mentioned cluster B women and misandrists in the same breath because there is a strong correlation. LOOK UP the difference between correlation and causation. crystallized intelligence is, because it's related to better paying jobs and higher positions in businesses. studies show that women select for intelligence, but I think the okc data and other studies have shown clearly that it's far less important than physical attractiveness. the studies show that men want women that are less intelligent than themselves. (again, this is probably crystallized intelligence). this is why you shouldn't go off a single study like the one linked in the post that say…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 06:57 PM

most people don't get that fluid intelligence, which is more rare in adults, is actually what makes a person smart. especially blue pill will assign high IQs (which is a meaningless concept anyway) to people with crystallized intelligence (the ability to memorize things, every kid can do this)

/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 10:47 PM

"Huh? Where does my post even imply this?" you 'don't know' what someone out of your social class might be experiencing. that's a cop out. For instance, it's interesting to see the reaction of german townspeople upon seeing the remains of a nazi concentration camp. "Morals are specific to a person." and to the community the person lives in. these townspeople are the same people who elected hitler.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 09:56 PM

"And I'm not even saying I'd rescue jewish people because IDK what it's like to not be part of a class that's heavily discriminated against," so you'd only rescue people in your own social class.. that's extremely hypocrite and dumb. "Holy projection Batman!" maybe if you wouldn't tell everyone else they're projecting it would make it little less obvious it's YOU who is projecting. "Why would you say that? " because statistically it's highly unlikely. morality doesn't exist in a vacuum. if everyone got wiped out and it was only you and the hot girl, you probably would do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 09:06 PM

"If the most attractive woman I can think of contacted me and wanted to have sex and no one would find out I still wouldn't do it." sure.. people aren't moral. morality is relative. what happened in 1930s germany? you wouldn't be that guy who rescued jews, especially if you go around saying how 'moral' you are. that makes you even less likely to actually be moral.

because u/John_Oakman's comment was about OnlyFans. It's not about sex work, because that indeed has been around forever. It's about the fact that women on OnlyFans are basically sex workers, but don't want to admit this.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 08:03 PM

I don't remember only fans was around decades ago, it wasn't even around 5 years ago. Seems to me like a girl has the choice to sign up on OnlyFans, right? There's no one holding a gun to her head telling her to do it, in most cases.

"OLD is a facet of redpill thinking" lol. as a red piller I'm actually glad OLD exists even though I'm not happy with its current state. Men do care what you write in your profile, as a matter of fact that makes it a lot easier for us to have a conversation. the good pictures argument is BS too, it doesn't make any difference what kind of pics you have, from personal experience. you don't get a sense of energy from looking at a picture on your phone, what's really going on is your judging how go…

that's like saying thermometers are bad at measuring temperature. it's not that the hottest people get the most results, only the hottest people get actual results. men do get less likes than women. it's up to them to match with someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/21 09:08 PM

they don't like men because they like themselves a lot more. it's not inflated, dating apps simply reveal the preferences. women want a tall, masculine, handsome guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/21 08:46 PM

I'm actually calling women on dating apps out on their lookism. because OLD has shown that women are more lookist than men. Also, don't talk about philosophies you don't understand.

/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/21 09:17 PM

perfection wasn't always the top of the range, OLD and social media shifted the dating landscape and raised the bar. a few decades ago you didn't have to be actor-level attractive to have a chance in dating.

shittier communication technology*. 15 years ago there already was social media and OLD that was as good as today's. technology is neutral and will conform to society. it's society that needs to change. it's the result of feminism. it's still a term that isn't used much. like it's normal to call people misogynysts when they simply promote traditional gender roles. Invent as many meaningless terms as you like, it won't change reality.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/21 09:42 PM

it's about accepting facts, being realistic and rationality. like I said manipulation of and by women is happening a lot nowadays, so it's not specific to the red pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 08:26 PM

how does that relate to men having manipulated women throughout human history? it doesn't even prove that men manipulated women in 1994. also women having less power doesn't automatically mean men manipulate them.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 07:16 PM

you provide a source that men manipulating women was always normal throughtout human history. the narcissism epidemic has made it so that people manipulate each other now.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 05:25 PM

narcissism is related to low inhibitions/adherance to social norms, sexual openness. narcissists actually have nothing but their sexuality, they don't have an actual personality. plus they're 'attention whoring' like someone else pointed out.

you didn't give any arguments in the post. also, a red piller wouldn't say "women, taken as an average, tend to display more hypergamous traits than men." and "Every woman will leave her partner if she can find a more attractive alpha becuase she is hardwired to do so." because men and women are equally hypergamous and not every woman would, though the average woman would. Time to take intro to statistics.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/21 02:14 AM

just 14% of relationships through tinder ended in marriage.

Tinder ALWAYS was a hookup app. "And since they aren't really representative of the female population as a whole, you can't really draw any broad conclusions about women from them." 30% of people use OLD so that's a siginificant amount. it has changed the dating landscape big-time.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/21 07:33 PM

"That's because there are still a lot of naïve women, thinking they can find a "decent guy" there," everyone knows Tinder is a hookup app. "The ratios show that women tend to prefer Hinge and Match, once they've had some dating app experience." but why did they go to the hookup app first, and then to the 'normal' dating apps? "Also, there's always the validation factor, and the "Everyone else is on Tinder, and I just don't want to feel left out!" thing" you just said only 1 of 4 tinder users…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/21 07:14 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 12:56 AM

it's pretty much universal. I also don't see how this study proves that 'environment matters'. it just says women become more selective as pool size increases, but that is always true everywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 12:33 AM
1

but anywhere you go, OLD is available. Even women that aren't on it know it exists and they can go on it to get a more attractive guy than they would in real life.

women generally like men that are high in conscientiousness, relatively high in agreeableness and low in neuroticism. Of course cluster B women want a cluster B man, who would be low in agreeableness.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 03:07 AM

it's not contrasted, both covert and overt narcissism have traits of low agreeableness, self-centeredness, self-entitlement, need for admiration. Pathological narcissism is when both covert and overt traits are present, which is most of the time but not always. It is not a subcategory of NPD, NPD is an extreme manifestation of narcissistic traits which is mostly grandiose.

it unfortunately is indeed.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 02:49 AM

if you're not even gonna read this is my last comment. I didn't say they are the ones solely affected by narcissistic traits, I said they have more grandiose than vulnerable traits. a person with subclinical narcissism has more vulnerable than grandiose traits.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 02:48 AM
1

I asked my psychologist with a master and he didn't know shit about narcissism. a PhD knows more, but not everything. ask her about vulnerable narcissism, like someone else said almost everyone has traits of this. maybe 5% of people don't in 2021.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 02:46 AM

they aren't subcategories, it's always a mix of both but NPD is more grandiose than vulnerable. Grandiose is more extreme and shittier narcissism.

1

keep thinking that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 02:32 AM

it's not that big a difference, oscillation means the vulnerable narcissist who doesn't appear very narcissistic could become a grandiose narcissist in very short time.

Epictetus literally gives dating advice for men (not to date licentious women, now we call them low-value women), not women. this advice is still sound 2000 years later.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 01:52 AM

she is probably talking about NPD (clinical narcissism). that would make sense because only 1% of people have it and maybe more are undiagnosed.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 01:21 AM

"mostly read by women" women mostly read self-help books by women, afaik Epictetus is a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 01:18 AM

women don't tend value self-improvement as much as men, in any age.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 12:57 AM
3

no. you could be suffering from rape trauma that is causing narcissistic rage. this irrational thinking and pretending anecdotal evidence is real evidence is sad. maybe you should read a few Epictetus books and deal with those emotions instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 12:54 AM
2

I dont know the context of that, but if you're using that as anecdotal evidence to prove a point, then I can somewhat understand why someone would say that, and that doesn't make me a misogynyst.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 12:33 AM

self improvement isn't bound to an age.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 12:26 AM

Epictetus's advice is more suited for men.. women are more dependent on their social network and don't tend te be 'lone wolves'

/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 11:50 PM

there is no dependent variable, this is just one of the outcomes of the research. height is an important factor in OLD, all other things being equal. this is called labor analysis.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 11:37 PM
4

"The question is how much more attractive does it make someone and by what measure." so if you had clicked on the first link you would know.. it's a lot. being 1 inch taller equates to being as much more attractive as when you are making 40k dollars more per year.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 11:29 PM
6

this isn't the only study (the research professor in this video is an expert on irrational behavior and has an H-index of 92) showing that women care a lot about height and physical attractiveness in general in OLD. studies also showed that women set the bar for men higher than men do for women, as the available choices increase. this discredits the idea that the bar is set low for men, which is often brought up on this sub, if you look at the actual science.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 10:58 PM

at least neckbeard are pretty laidback, while a lot of less attractive (obese) females have toxic personalities, like most women these days frankly. I don't like fatphobia and social stigma around fat women, but it seems that obese women with toxic personalities have it much easier in dating than neckbeards.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 06:46 PM
2

the "they are not easy" to spot refers to your claim that you can easily identify narcissists. it's not easy. if theyre posting a lot on social media it makes them more likely to be narcissistic but u still don't know it for sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/21 08:22 PM
6

apparently simple facts are exhausting for you. big presence on social media is related to narcissism. also I dont care whether or not your friends/relatives are narcissists, just pointing out your errors. it's not true that 99.99% people aren't narcissists. I would say at least 90% of people nowadays have narcissistic traits. (we are living in a narcissism epidemic)
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/21 08:16 PM

LVW vs HVW. I do think LVW lie about their n-count due to social desirability bias
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/21 08:01 PM

'fully' narcissistic? the first thing you learn when doing research on narcissism, is they aren't easy to spot. however, you also find out that their (irrational) thinking isn't very complex, and they are actually quite predictable and easy to anticipate. if you want to stop succumbing to narcissism this youtube channel is good to learn more about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/21 07:50 PM
5

I agree with the last sentence. it could be, however, that they don't seem narcissistic to YOU because you're their friend/relative or supply.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/21 07:34 PM
7

have you ever heard of vulnerable narcissism? also, posting a lot on social media is a strong indicator for narcissism.

yes. from personal experience, I was able to attract women out of my league on OLD but it's still hard to strike up a conversation with someone whose personality is not like your own. the usual advice is, don't go on OLD if you aren't extremely physically attractive.

they do contract and refute all of your points. narcissists do realize deep down that something's off with their behaviour and that they could be on the narcissism spectrum. the whole point is that narcissts lie to themselves about this. "The main takeaway I got was confirming that if you're attractive people will assign you positive personality traits." I agree with that. hence the word perceived creativity/intelligence. it's rare for a creative genius to be succesful with women. nonetheless, it shows these traits are viewed as positive.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 04:41 PM

"Really corrupt women could not long endure this way of life; and, however, dear gossip may be to them they would want to gossip with men." This seems to accurately depict LVW though. 36%. no insignificant amount. Also wanted to point out that the dating economy is different from the monetary economy in that there is no regulation of it. Comparing the two makes hardly any sense. People lie a lot about sex-related topics so these numbers must be taken with a grain of salt.

everyone literally has their own interpretation of the red pill. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_pill_and_blue_pill: The terms "red pill" and "blue pill" refer to a choice between the willingness to learn a potentially unsettling or life-changing truth, by taking the red pill, or remaining in contented ignorance with the blue pill. \this is kind of accurate, though. the article doesn't mention misogyny the manosphere, however, does. so I would say they are very different

it shows they care more about looks, but also that OLD is different from real-life dating, because of the amount of male profiles on dating apps raises the bar continuously to a point where women will only swipe right on 10s.

yeah you're actually right, I just browsed through it. apparently they don't know what red pill is.

there are ways to curb inequality. The government should stimulate growth of the IT sector so there will be better dating apps. If tinder wasn't a multi-billion dollar company the dating market would be more fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 04:33 PM

I think most people initially have high dating expectations. then slowly they adjust to a level where where they can find a long term partner. Not everyone does this, so I don't agree with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 03:54 PM
1

so you're talking about good vs bad pictures. I think that doesn't matter much. from personal experience, I tried switching pictures periodically and it didn't make much difference for my matches.

"A five on your scale is not the average of your dataset just because it's the midpoint of your scale." exactly. so "80% of men on OkCupid are judged by women to be below the general population average" is totally true.

1

"They assume women have the same static visual triggers as himself. This reflects in OLD, where most men have photos like the 1st photo, not the second photo" not true. in online dating women pay the most attention to the first and the last photo, in other words they don't take all day to look at each photo. which makes sense because of the sheer amount of profiles. I doubt there's any cues or lights going on other than 'he's hot, or he's not'

"So this is also a question of methodology and measurement." not at all. physical attractiveness is easy to measure, using for instance a 1-10 scale. "The scale itself does not define what average is and isn't. You can't determine averageness pre hoc without measuring it." average: a number expressing the central or typical value in a set of data, in particular the mode, median, or (most commonly) the mean, which is calculated by dividing the sum of the values in the set by their number.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 05:46 PM

NPD is far more prevalent in women than in men, and narcissism is more prevalent in men than in women. probably because NPD is underdiagnosed in women, like ASD and ADD.

BPD really isn't the same as narcissism or ASPD. ASPD women barely exist, dark triad traits are pretty common in modern women though, I'd say.

what does this even mean
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 11:34 PM

in an ideal situation, no. but modern men don't have all that many options. generally speaking narcissists / people with cluster B disorders will be more attracted to each other and this is better for everyone

I think the bar to be diagnosed with NPD doesn't quite reflect the level of narcissism in society as a whole. I'm also not talking about ASPD, which is very different and more rare than subclinical narcissism.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 10:38 PM

NPD is definitely underdiagnosed; DT women are very reluctant to seek a diagnosis
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 10:35 PM

"Given that NPD and ASPD are rare in general (comparatively) and especially rare in women (both are about 75-80% male)" subclinical narcissism / dark triad isn't rare. "but are there any ways in which NPD/ASPD women are more compatible to the average man than the average woman?" probably not. dark triad women have fragile egos so that they need constant confirmation from another narcissist and vice versa. they could date a non-NPD person, but there would be major communication issues.

I agree. though it's no secret that attractive people get free passes in all areas of life even though everyone perceives beauty differently based on their own 'physical flaws'. kindness is attractive, but today's women's standards are often times disappointingly unrealistic.
