I dont think this is an example of PPD at all. at no point did she try to use her status as a woman to get ahead or away with anything so there was never an opportunity for her pass to be denied.

That is the key quality: Training. I am sure she is fit and in great shape, you have to be to be a marine, but that doesnt translate to skill in Boxing. While we are at it, having a great deal of skill in Boxing doesnt always equal being skilled in fighting either. Fights are chaotic, and you never know if someone is going to get a lucky shot in or if you yourself has a glass jaw. So claiming ot be able to "beat the ass" of anyone is far from a sure thing.

That is an interesting take on the movie. I always figured her Father was the antagonist and she was the victim. Certainly her behavior throughout the movie wasnt ideal but i would use the label of Antagonist to describe her.

While I agree with you 100% it is still a preference. people can be attracted to others for a variety of arbitrary reasons that are beyond anyone's control. That doenst means they are wrong, or shallow, or any of the other terms we love to use to judge people. People have types, people are different, what is attractive t oone isnt attractive to another.
