This is why governments don't want accurate reports and surveysEqual proportions, but did they mean of the total gender population? They quote 4%, so I would wonder if that roughly means 4% of men and 4% of women total, leading to the two inequal absolute values | /r/MensRights | 24/02/16 07:21 AM
| -1 | Feminist outrage over new phone app which allows users to video their date agreeing to sex to protect them against rape claimsKeeping it classy generally preempts the use of ad hominem and attacks against the person | /r/MensRights | 13/07/15 08:59 PM |
Feminist outrage over new phone app which allows users to video their date agreeing to sex to protect them against rape claimsGiven that the App store can simply pull apps at any time, it's not surprising that this isn't there. | /r/MensRights | 13/07/15 08:58 PM
How do I stop myself from becoming a radical MRA?Remember that there is a difference between "radical" feminism, and the feminism that actually does stick up for women and not try and pull men down. Remember that not every MRA is morally right just because they are an MRA, not every 'feminist' is morally wrong because they use that label, and that hating anyone for any reason isn't productive, and only hurts you and what you stand for. Stand up for men's rights. Acknowledge that women still face issues, sometimes small, sometimes large. Above … | /r/MensRights | 25/05/15 10:43 PM
An End to Alimony Would be Good for Women (Forbes)I've grown up in a family unit where my mother is the primary breadwinner and my father the secondary breadwinner, so I suppose I can't say I'm familiar with that sentiment. | /r/MensRights | 17/05/15 04:47 AM
An End to Alimony Would be Good for Women (Forbes)Mmhmm, totally. I only added that in there as an extension of 'extreme' cases, where 'extenuating circumstances' probably would have been the more appropriate term... | /r/MensRights | 16/05/15 09:41 PM
An End to Alimony Would be Good for Women (Forbes)I have to agree. If a couple has found a structure wherein one person is the primary 'breadwinner', then absolutely alimony has a place, especially where without it the non-primary 'breadwinner' might be unfairly disadvantaged in the short term. I see little to no need for Alimony more than 4-5 years, however - even that should ideally be sufficient to allow someone to take some level of education and to reestablish themselves. Obviously extreme cases would be different, and if children were inv… | /r/MensRights | 16/05/15 09:03 PM
Found this card in the men's bathroom at my local TJ Maxx. They care guys :)With all due respect, it seems that the response you got was pretty sane. If you actually read it, it's clear that Karen is simply choosing to not give you any unequal treatment, nor any unreasonable demands. Thanks for posting! | /r/MensRights | 06/01/15 02:01 AM
How do you define feminism?A group and movement comprising a vast number of individuals; many of whom are good, reasonable people who believe in equality, the empowerment of women without disempowering men, equal human rights, and who, while quiet, likely disagree with many of the more radical individuals and viewpoints that have taken hold within the movement. Yes, there are misandrists, "radfems", hateful people, and those who genuinely just want to hurt others. Yes, that means that when someone is particularly vocifero… | /r/MensRights | 06/10/14 04:00 AM
MRAs Debunked - An Addendum to Suicide StatisticsThe TL;DR I got from this is that women self-report self-harm far more than men, but men still commit suicide by a huge margin over women. What isn't (and can't) be listed is how many men and women do not self-report self-harm attempts. TL;DR the statistics stand. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/14 04:43 PM
