Go to a tourist trap with bread and do a contest to see who can lure the most pigeons. Whomever wins is the pigeon king/queen.

I remember that it was about understanding someone's priorities/ideals so that you can formulate your goal in a way that they want to help achieve it instrinsicly.

I've been on 3 cinema dates and the talking. Efore and after were the good parts. That's why I now stick to going for a drink or maybe playing pool.

Those sound like awful first date ideas. The cinema is just sitting in the dark not saying anything and a fancy dinner is expensive and usually trying too hard.

Eh, you could always read How To Win Friends And Influence People. It's a useful book in many ways.

I had that too, and I noticed that I'd actually love to say nicer things. You need to be comfortable enough with what you think to actually say them aloud, I think. I wanted to give people more compliments, to be able to put a hand on someone's shoulder and not have it be awkward. Well, it might be a bit awkward at first, but you have to be sincere. You see someone wearing a nice dress, tell her it looks nice. Just that, nothing more. You have to actually mean it, there's no faking. After a whil…

I guess, yeah. Always ask about what they were doing before, like if they told you last time they were going to a wedding, ask how the wedding was. Most of the time this just goes automatically. I'm gonna give it to you, strangers are easier than people you get to know a little to talk with, personally.

Honestly? Watch some interviews with big movie stars. They usually have that body language under control. Craig Ferguson has some great talks with the most beautiful women. Watch how laid-back he is, sometimes he comes close and sometimes he just sits back.

I think being a cashier gives you far less time for small talk, as most people are not in the mood or in a hurry.

Give compliments! Notice something about them that they seem to care about, their hair, their clothes or their expensive brand greek yoghurt. Don't overdo it, and never compliment on something you don't really like. Let it be genuine and it'll become easier. Ease into it slowly, compliments about clothes are always good. Compliments about their groceries might be too personal, in a way. I mean, I wouldn't really enjoy a cashier mentioning the tons of candy I buy every time. I guess you gotta fin…

First off, your intentions have to be right. Be genuine and interested in the other person. Sometimes this is hard to do, but personally I've noticed that it just happens when you actually try to listen and understand about what they're talking of. But what to talk about? Ask what they do, where they live, just some small talk to get going. Ask where they went to high school, talk about your time there. Make small, dumb jokes. Be relaxed because otherwise they'll tense up too. Don't be afraid to…

True. Always a good idea is to ask about something they were doing the last time, tell a little of what they probably knew you of, that works for me.

I think flirting a bit is fine, but it's not up to me. It's up to her. Have you two discussed anything? Like you two being a couple? In that case, you'd be a little shit for flirting and making out with other girls. Cheating isn't about what you think is cheating, it's what the other thinks is cheating. If you find that unacceptable, talk about it. If that doens't help, find someone else. Personally, I don't think you should do those kind of things with other girls unless you're about to break u…

I sure hope you're still allowed to talk to other girls, because that's just normal. What do you mean with "expressing yourself"? I think /u/matrix2002 is right, /r/seduction has some strange viewpoints on relationships. Honestly, I think you should try to get this relationship to work. It will teach you a lot about finding happiness in compromises and defining boundaries for eachother. Also, I take it that you like this girl, if you are just using her as some kind of project, I think you should…

sigh Alright, let's try this one more time. I am fine, things aren't black and white. Stop creating extremes. You do not give me any proof. Why are women untrustworthy then? Personal experience? Studies? I haven't heard anything new. I've never had the answer that they want a sensitive, caring man. They say they want someone who shows confidence, confidence above all else. Hell, they even told me how. Don't doubt yourself continuously, don't fret over a mistake you might've made, show people you…

Ok, sorry if I angered you, you seem to be quite frustrated with my reaction. I do have a clue what you're talking about, I think. I have a good friend who is indeed a figure who can get girls without even trying. I always have a hard time following his advice because it's not the way I wanna do it. I have been looking for a relationship, and that goes deeper than seduction. Sure, I can woo a lady just fine my way, but it's hard and I don't have much success. There's a reason I'm on this sub, of…

I guess we're kinda young, she's 18 and I'm 22, marriage is something we won't even think about yet. And yeah, it strange how something clicks after that moment.

I think that's true. You're probably getting close to what exactly women like on a personal level.

It's all about communication. I have asked female friends on multiple occassions about do's and don't, but I only get interesting insights when I ask them about how they realized the guy they're with now won them over, you get way more interesting insights.

Exactly what happened to me last week. I had a bit of a plan, but we just started talking about dinosaurs.

Uhm, I think it's important to think about how you got there. Did you ask her out? Then you plan stuff. I think it's a pretty decent thing to do. Also, is it that awful to make a plan for someone you're interested in? I don't think so.

I think giving her the choice out of what select things I had planned was taking "leadership" enough. I knew the way, she followed. Leadership is giving and taking, I think. They trust you to lead, that doesn't mean you make all decisions. I don't feel like leadership is the quality that you're looking for. I think confidence is more important. Confidence gives you the strength to make something out of every situation. Isn't that higher up the list?

I disagree. You can show your understanding, you can learn what she's like dealing with the breaking of a relationship. If she was dumped, you can call him and idiot, when she dumped him, you can do that too, depending on the context, of course. Negative tones are interesting in a conversation. It gives you some way to talk about lighter subject afterwards, something fun and stupid. It makes a connection. Always, always watch out crossing her boundaries. I always ask her if she wants to talk abo…

You are not a wolf, josh. You're just as much as sheep as she is. If you're looking for any kind of meaningful connection, you know that it is built upon honesty, kindness and loyalty. You cannot be honest to someone you believe is beneath you, because you believe your words have more worth. You cannot be kind because you will view it as charity. You cannot be loyal because you will view yourself as being the one someone should be loyal to. I probably botched that metaphor and messed up most of …

I can imagine. Telling something like that to her has the same effect with better results.

I agree with almost everything you say. Especially your last point, I think it's important to show a bit of weakness, but make it something positive. Nervousness is very close to excitement, and saying you're excited about the whole thing is kinda cute. I'd like it if a girl said that. Gives you an opportunity to comfort the other. Have you dated with bitchy girls?

There might be more than 10 things that can ruin dates, kid. Also, do you try to date a lot?

Just what I had last week. We opened up to eachother and spoke about how hard it was to stop being in love with the ex and having to dump them. It was so real that even more sensitive topics followed and we spoke about crying and how we were both quite emotional about such topics. Felt good man. I didn't badmouth my ex, just how I felt ashamed, guilty and sad about the whole thing. It's probably not the best thing for a first date though.

Why should I take leadership? I knew she had a hard time walking because she also has something else painful with her legs and I could see it. I wanted her to decide because I wanted her to decide.

Yeah, I noticed that it's very different in different countries. We just did whatever we wanted, because we wanted it. I'm Dutch, by the way. It's important to simply talk to her about it, that made things way less controversial.

Interesting, really interesting, I went on a date last week and I really did make few mistakes. Personally I'd say I made none. I had walked through the city the afternoon before to make sure I had found an Irish pub where we could drink Murphy's Irish Red. As soon as I picked her up from the train station I offered her a few choices dependant on how far she wanted to walk, since her shoes were wet. I can't imagine asking this to anyone, but now that I think of it, many have asked it to me. I gu…

Interesting article, nicely written! It's true, one of the most important things to use is enthousiasm. I've listened to a man talking about selling shoes because he simply had some passion doing so. I'd like to add that I've learnt most of my use of voice by watching a lot of comedians do their thing. A comedic timing of tone and volume does more than the wittiest pun you can imagine. I've been, hmm, gifted with a very nice low voice, and many girls have told me I have the 'movie trailer voice'…

Yeah, that's probably a good idea. Just, not the showing where I write. Like most good ideas, I write my best stuff while shitting or being unable to sleep. Still, I, I know my passion for poetry does interest the dames, I've seen it happen. It's just this urge to write them something as beautifull and captivating as their eyes and their smiles. When I have finally filled in the words of my gratitude, I'm jumping for the first chance to flood them with all that I have practiced and rehearsed lik…

This seems like a pretty good tip. I'm like, the WORST at this. When I meet up with a girl I'm interested in I make sure she knows it's a date. Even worse, I'm an avid poet. This means that I probably already wrote the girl a poem before the date, to recite when the evening comes to an end. That way the girl almost always feels forced to do, feel, or say something back, but there's nothing good to react with. Especially since most of those girls weren't sure about me anyway. I just really like w…
