Yes. When I notice people, especially staff, turn their heads to look at something specific especially an entrance, I glance that way too. Situational awareness 100%. Plus we have mirror neurons in our brain that make us prone to copying others, that's why your yawn is 'contagious', and two people chatting may both be sitting the same way.
