You dont chose your family. The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. Family CAN matter as much as any other relationship but not because of genetic similarity. If someone related to you does something wrong you're not obligated to side with them.

if he hadn't fallen in love with the pup the obvious answer would have been to leave with the pup. loyalty to friends is the highest virtue

I'm 21 and am discovering the same thing. Even the mildly interesting ones, if men, would be among the least interesting men I know.

I'm noporn because I don't like the idea of being dependent on something. Also when I think about the women in porn videos and what their lives must be like they start to seem pretty gross.

I am having a similar experience in college. I started a caving club (spelunking) and at first it was just a few guys who joined. Caving trips were extremely fun, just a group of guys having a day off. A really annoying girl joined, she has invited several more since.

it kind of makes the slippery slope arguments that religious people use about social issues ring true doesn't it.

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, Histories by Herodotus, and anything Jules Verne ever wrote. Also On the Trail of Genghis Khan by Tim Cope.

She is CLEARLY fat. She's not obese, but you can see rolls of fat and her stomach hangs over a little. This is not how a fit person would look. Our society is just so obese that she doesn't look very fat by comparison. Either that, or you have a similar body fat % and don't want it to count as fat.

Do you think it is impossible without one? Do you NEED to find "the one" to be a happy person?

nope. if you can walk and crawl, you can cave. at the advanced levels you need technical skills, to use ropes, ascenders, etc for getting into deep pits and back out of them, but a lot of caves are just like a hike but underground.

When you accept there is no objective meaning to existence, you get to create your own meaning. Pick a goal, go for it, and meaning will manifest itself. There doesn't need to be a universal meaning for life to be fun.

I think the best way to dress is simply, or as well as required for the occasion. Trying to find a "style" reeks of pretense and affectation. But it's definitely good to dress sharp for a graduation ceremony, or when going to the symphony.

I'm quite into a set of outdoor sports. Climbing, caving, mountaineering, canyoneering, backpacking. I try to escape the modern world as much as possible and spend time with friends outside.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
