Guys who initiated the divorce and did NOT get cheated on, what’s your story? It’s the fact we have to argue over the most mundane things, all the freaking time. I am not gonna say who’s right or wrong because most of the time that’s subjective. At the end we just tossed it up to incompatibility. I am sure she can find someone who she can communicate with better and vice versa. Could we have stuck it out? Sure. But we both know life/marriage could be loads better with a more compatible partner. Hope we’re right. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/08/24 09:04 PM

Did any of you guys take off from work when fighting divorce case? It is really draining me mentally I am unable to focus at work, especially when I think that I may lose my kids.I would suggest to take a day or two off to mentally recharge. And then try to view work as a distraction. When I was going through the process, going into work felt like an escape from the situation at home. Something about just being away and then interacting with coworkers felt therapeutic in a way. That’s just me though. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/03/24 02:18 PM
I wants invited to a weddingWhat I tell myself is don’t be that bitter/jaded divorced man who paint a broad stroke across all women. There are good ones out there. Step one is to be happy on your own and live life for you for the next year or so. It’s only then you can clearly come to the decision whether you want to pursue marriage again. And, given our past marriages, I think it’s safe to say we’ll have a list of red flags to look for. Also, as much as we hate to admit it, there are things we may have to work on ourselve… | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/24 01:57 AM
This what I learned from this.Growing apart does happen. You guys are not clones of each other so naturally people change over time. The question is what efforts were made to give the relationship new life? Marriage takes work, if no one spends time to stimulate further growth of course it’s gonna fall apart. For me, my ex wife and I grew apart over time but it was due to constant arguing and a clear contrast of conflict resolution styles. I am the type that prefers to talk openly about the conflict and dissolve as soon as p… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/03/24 09:07 PM
Empathy.Bro you’re in a divorce men subreddit so naturally the answers you get will skew toward the problem being with the spouse. I’ll try to offer a more balanced voice here since your situation is very similar to mine. I have no doubt you are doing all you can to show empathy. But there are a couple of unfortunate factors that could potentially be at play here: 1) The damage done is quite heavy and it’ll take a lot of effort and time to undo the impacts of your previous actions. It usually takes many… | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/03/24 03:46 AM
I'm gonna divorce her, I'm just not sure how to deal with the in-between, current, and after.Find hobbies and be out of the house as much as possible. Literally only use it to sleep. If you are employed then spend all day at your work or office. Work is a wonderful distraction and you’ll also get ahead this way to advance in your career which is always good married or not. When you’re done with work head to the gym. Get money. Get healthy. Get buff. Sounds like a great plan to me. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/23 05:49 AM
| -1 | Should I get married? You came to a divorce men subreddit to ask about opinions about marriage? L O L Anyways, women are not all manipulative and mind game playing jerks. Marriage can be beautiful if you find the right person. That’s (most likely) the reason why most of us here got married in the first place. The issue was that we probably found the wrong person. So in short, no marriage is not inherently bad. It’s only bad if 1) you are not emotionally/mentally/financially stable and 2) found a person that is incomp… | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/23 05:45 AM |
Help getting attention from women? (serious)No one has said this yet so I will. And I mean what I am about to say with all due respect. You don’t sound like an arrogant jerk, you just sound super shallow. I get what makes you happy might be out of your control and chances are, attention from women may actually be what makes you happy. But can you say that with absolute conviction? True happiness comes from within. Getting your happiness from the attention of women contradicts this long standing wisdom. Why is that? It’s because you have a… | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/23 05:29 AM
