You're probably looking into it too much. You're likely not the center of her world and she shouldn't be the center of yours. If I were to give any advice it would be to stop asking questions, it gives her the impression that she's "in control" and can choose whether or not to answer your question, and she won't if she's not interested in answering. Instead just tweak questions like "How have you been doing?" to something like "Tell me how you've been" because the message and intent is more dire…
