Thanks for supportGreat news. You will be okay. Full steam ahead. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/11/25 08:44 PM
Glad this sub exists. Still reeling.I’m sorry for this pain. You will recover with time and physical distance and no contact after the divorce paperwork is all done. Your divorce will be simple because of no shared assets, you both have almost comparable salaries, and there is no child-in-common, most fortunately. I went through a similar thing with my X, including the cheating, lying to my face daily, and sneaking around behind my back as you. I did all the divorce paperwork myself without lawyers (I am a lawyer but not in family… | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/11/25 08:21 PM
Did anyone else experience a complete 180 like this before divorce? She is a master covertly disordered woman-girl. Sorry you got duped. Wishing you well. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/11/25 07:53 PM
Should I stay or should I go?💯 | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/11/25 12:53 AM
My son just asked for a divorce — how do I actually help him through this?This 💯. Especially #8. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/11/25 03:16 AM
Struggling with lonelinessIf your gym offers, consider going to group workout classes. There’s lots to choose from like lifting, high intensity, cycling, running, boxing, etc. You will be around others who can really make you feel less along during this sad time in your life. Go even when you feel like just staying in bed! Think about one day at one moment, you will reach to the other side of joy. I promise. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/11/25 11:50 PM
Help me understand why my ex-wife cheated on meSo sorry about your pain. Your wife is an excellent actress…she acted until you were no longer useful to her. That she finally revealed her severe character deficiency to you is your blessing to move forward to a superior life. Without a fake wife, pathological liar, cheater, and an utter fraud. If you have a faith, return to Church, get therapy from a trauma psychologist, exercise, eat well, and count your blessings that the truth has finally set you free. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/11/25 08:43 PM

Starting to respect myself againSeriously, dude, you are soooooooo better off without this parasite. I write from my own similar experience. I am sorry you have a child with this parasite, but I recommend that you go “grey rock” as much as possible. I promise you, after the divorce is final and with time focusing on your child and your own well-being, you will reach the other side to joy. Keep going forward. You will recover. Best wishes. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/10/25 09:16 PM
Finally Accepted That It’s OverWishing you all the best in your new future…peace, joy, love, kindness. All the fruits of the Spirit. Church, too. You will recover. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/25 08:32 PM
Finally Accepted That It’s OverI am sorry you‘ve got this grief. I really am. Know that anyone who is a dreamer constantly chasing ”happiness” is not all that deep or emotionally mature, but is more likely self-centered and unstable to be a good partner for any long-term marriage. Her cheating at year 7 is exhibit a of the above. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/25 08:29 PM
Finally Accepted That It’s OverGoing 100% no contact is the fastest and most effective way to healing, from my experience of being divorced from a pathological liar and cheater. Married for just over a decade. Your life will become peaceful and joyful as a result. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/25 08:22 PM
Finally Accepted That It’s OverWords of wisdom. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/25 08:17 PM
Something I can never get pastI am so sorry about all of this, including your wife’s turned back from you and soulless eyes during one of your darkest days. Know that your life will become superior on your own and without that cold creature taking up space next to you. Focus on your own well-being, get to the gym on the daily, and eat well. Church and therapy, too. Best to you on the road ahead, one day at one moment. Keep going. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/10/25 07:34 PM
Dating Post-DivorceStay off the dating apps if you are seriously looking for a high quality, conservative woman. These apps, whether one is a man or woman, typically attract those who are looking for meal tickets or long-term retirement plans; usually the woman on these apps is looking for the financial gain. Frankly, imo, meeting someone naturally at a place you already frequent (e.g., church, gym, etc.,) is superior to the dating apps, because said apps are full of users and frauds and self-serving troubled soul… | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/10/25 02:41 AM
I’m Floundering BoysI’m sorry you’re having such a difficult time. In addition to seeing a psychologist and gym, my advice is to go back to church, read the Word, pray, and trust in the Lord no matter what. This got me across the finish line to joy. Proverbs 3. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/09/25 12:00 AM
She would never cheat, right?Seriously, you are far better off now that this cheater will be out of your life. I’m sorry this happened to you. You will recover knowing this immoral user will soon be gone from your life. Best of everything to you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/09/25 03:12 AM
She would never cheat, right?Or if the covert cheater suddenly minimizes her/his computer screen when you pass by, yeah, totally cheating and lying to your face. Proverbs - an adulterer has no sense and will destroy oneself. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/09/25 03:05 AM
Rebuilding seems impossibleWow. Your internal strength, fortitude, and motivation is impressive and honorable. Keep going towards your better life. Glad that the deadweight (cheater ex) is gone from your life. You are so better off. Wishing you well. Reminds me of “If” poem by Kipling. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/25 02:56 PM
Update on DivorceOh good. All positive activities to keep you moving forward into your peaceful, rebuilt life. The marathons are therapeutic, too, I find. Well done on all; you should really be impressed with your decision to be better and not bitter. Yeah. That would be truly beautiful if your ex and my ex ran into each other…they‘d have so much in common with each other than we ever did (though they‘d probably have a little bit of trouble funding their life)! Ha! | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/09/25 03:18 AM
Update on DivorceNow this gets a wow. My goodness. She sounds just like my ex-husband, including the lack of work ethic and parasitic conduct. Your decision to ignore her and her nonsensical demand instead, going about your peaceful life is the healthy way for your and kids’ long-term wellbeing. As an aside, what truly helped me cross over to the finish line from deep pain to beyond joy and peace is getting trauma therapy with my psychologist (Ph.D in clinical psychology specializing in this betrayal trauma), in… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/25 02:47 PM
Update on DivorceOP, Hooray for you doing so well! Your ex sounds like a master manipulator so I am glad you are now the wiser to her nonsense. Stay strong in that. My ex husband sounds just like her. No kids so I was fortunate that way regarding being able to go completely no contact with my cheater/lying ex husband after the divorce (which I did all the paperwork - I am a lawyer but not in family law, I learned real fast the procedure) became final. I’m pretty sure he will attempt the same thing your ex did at… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/25 01:38 AM
Told the kids todayWow. I’m so sorry. Zero to do with you and kids, and everything to do with her problems and character deficiency. Get family therapy for you and kids. You will recover and come out stronger and joyful on the other side after enduring this pain. I know from my own experience. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/25 12:52 AM
Those that cheated…This is 100% accurate. I was on the other side - I was the wife whose middle-aged ex “husband” cheated on me from the moment we had our first date, and then the entirety of the decade-long marriage. By divine providence did I discover that he had been cheating and lying to my face since the getgo despite the fact I was the primary breadwinner, chef, PA, financial planner, life planner, and more to him and our marriage. In the end, though, he will have to live with the fact that he cheated on his… | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/09/25 07:39 PM
24 M, is marriage worth it?I understand. I’m a woman too, and I did the same as you. Have compassion for you and love you and now you keep the lessons you learned from that move forward to better days ahead. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/03/25 11:01 PM
24 M, is marriage worth it?I think your list is spot on. As a professional, self-made woman, I would add that your son should take a careful look at the woman’s home to see whether it is organized and structured in a way it suits an emotionally mature woman. That is, she’s living a good life, a respected life and not just waiting for any guy to come rescue her life. About the prenup, any woman who refuses to sign one is a red flag because if she’s got good intentions going into said marriage, the prenup will never get tri… | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/03/25 10:57 PM
24 M, is marriage worth it?I can only presume that your marriage ending DID NOT involve infidelity from either side given your post-divorce contacts and doing favors for each other. I was married for 10.3 years until I discovered my so-called husband (STBXH come Monday) had been lying to my face and cheating on me from the moment he contacted me via dating website. He married me to gain access to my finances, home, stability, and to be taken care of. After I found out the over 12 years of his lying and cheating and using … | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/03/25 10:39 PM
LA divorce Lawyer AdviceI’m a LA lawyer (but not a divorce lawyer) who actually just did my own uncontested divorce with final judgment issued 6 months and 1 day after service of petition. Your lawyer sounds lazy, entitled, and completely unprofessional. Firing him/her is merited in my opinion. $600/hour is actually very high rate for your divorce that has taken way too long to begin with unless your case is highly contested. Good luck. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/02/25 11:18 PM
