I wish it were just the algorithm. Even just the other day, a woman I work with refused to train a man because she says she hates men. The hate is, unfortunately, very real.

I find that this happens often in here. Take all the qualities of a male "loser," flip the gender, and you have plenty of guys' dream girl.

"That sucks, I'm sorry," even a little acknowledgement like this is honestly as much as I'm hoping for, but even this level of empathy is generally too much to ask for; I've only ever heard it a single time when talking about my past friend who is currently a drug dealer, can't hold an actual job, and lives out of his grandma's house but somehow has a wife and 2 girlfriends. I find that most people I know have been in their LTR since high school so they just take it for granted, it's just someth…

It's kind of like a competition to see who can be the hottest. Not unlike other competitions to see who is fastest, strongest, or most skilled.

>So he wasnt always like that. Maybe, maybe not. He has always seemed like an evil genius when it came to stealing money from his parents' store and manipulating others. I don't think people just wake up one day and decide to become a maniac. >Exactly. He’s only getting people as fucked up as he is. If that’s what you want, okay. Lol According to his previous marriage: False. And uh yeah, that's the idea. We don't all want to date up to be carried through life like so many on here seem to. I suf…

He left behind a marriage and 3 kids due to gambling and drug addiction. Dude can barely articulate a coherent thought, the way he speaks is barely intelligible, probably due to being cracked out, but the red flags seem to be waived because he's hot and has a rich family. Although I think he may be only attracting the crazy ones (One of them stabbed him with a fork in the leg before she left him) but nonetheless he is attracting women. Even just got my childhood friend a job, turns out he now al…

Eh, I see unemployed gambling/drug addicts that can barely communicate that live in their mom's basement and they still get plenty of attention from the ladies just because they're physically attractive.

Always boggled my mind how my old roommate had success with women despite foregoing body soap entirely in place of Axe Spray. Make it make sense!

Behold, the media giving people ridiculous standards. I genuinely find the girls at work or in public just as attractive as any celebrity, and I guarantee these non-celebrities put WAY less effort into their looks than your average celeb.

Can't date without experience, can't get experience without dating. Just doesn't seem like there's a solution unless it's to be a sleaze bag that tries to hook up with every woman they meet or groom em while they're young. Not into either of these so I guess I'll just live my life.

Guess it depends on one's personal definition of Cultured. For me, it means "characterized by good taste and manners." What does it mean to you? Basically if you have passions, decently-formed opinions about your passions and you aren't toxic about them, you're cultured. Such an opinion can even be something as little as "I like Darth Vader because he looks cool."

I DID date this except she was very out of shape and below an 8 out of 10, and she still dumped me. So, yes. As long as she's kind, cute and cultured, not much else matters. Most dudes don't date for social status or any of that nonsense.

Complete opposite here as the other guys mentioned. There's absolutely no shortage of attractive women out there, and tons of different types of beauty, so that's good news for the guys that date solely based on looks. There's nothing more attractive to me than a lady who is passionate and cultured about her geeky hobbies, I just don't see any future with someone that I can't share my passions with.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 06:50 PM

We DO and still get dumped by entitled 30+ y/o STI-ridden broke overweight single moms that are doped up on tons of meds and live with their parents. How much lower do our standards need to be?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/24 05:22 PM

Yup, been trying irl for 17 years, only got ghosted or rejected. Tried the apps, bam, met 2 people in about half a year. Didn't last of course because they had crazy standards due to getting bulldozed during their Hoe Phases for the past many years.

On the other hand, luck is what screws you over even when you're doing everything else right. No amount of effort or self-improvement can defeat poor luck. Being pleasant and making people feel comfortable around you will help.. if you're lucky.

I agree, everyone should show empathy, but no one should take it for granted or take advantage of another's empathy.

Yup, I find that most women are very resourceful regarding this. They know where to go for empathy, and they know where to go to get bulldozed.

Plenty of male friends Plenty of non-binary female presenting, but some female friends as well Yes Not too bad, I have made some solid adulthood friends through work
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 07:05 PM

I don't want my first serious relationship to involve a kid, I still want to witness the authentic dating experience that so many young adults, college students, and high school students had the privilege of experiencing. I have dated a single mom and we never had time to hang out or do anything together really.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 03:47 PM

Checks out. Same thing happened with my girlfriend as I reached out for some emotional support due to some social anxiety. She pretty much said man up, git gud, feel what you feel. Ironic as she was pretty doped up on anti-depressants. Broke up with me soon after of course, not sure if I even saw her again after I reached out.

Checks out. I was in an autistic relationship and she broke up with me because I was slightly bi and interested in drag, feminization, makeup and femdom.

A high level of confidence is off-putting to me, makes me feel like they've already got their life figured out and there's no room for me in it. Maybe it's the hopeless romantic in me but I'd rather help a low-confidence grow to become a confident person, let us both grow and develop together.

Absolutely. I dated a broke single mom that lived with her parents and played video games all day and she still dumped me. Is $50k/year considered low? I'm at about $30k/year and still treated her to dates and dinners, money is total non-issue, pretty much the least of my worries in life at $30k/year.

Yeah I don't get it, I love it when a girl says "GAT DAMNN THAT ASS" when I'm wearing my booty shorts. If I say that to a girl though, I'm done for.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 06:38 PM

It always seemed like a competition to me, a competition between girls to see who can be the sexiest.

Exactly, anyone has the capability to learn self defense and use technology to aid them, but most of them will sit back and whine and complain about being the victim of society instead, even though they have a clear solution. Agreed, people don't understand just how vulnerable and fragile the human body can be, even if said human is a 400-pound musclehead, their eyeballs are just as vulnerable as anyone else. Physical strength does not matter much in our technological age.

This is the kind of self-empowerment I would like to see from more modern women, no victim complex here! Go you! But I hear it so much, how men are privileged because they can walk down the street safely after midnight. Men are just as vulnerable to being stabbed, shot, or robbed as women are, but that's a tough pill for many to swallow.

True that, I've always been amazed at womens' resourcefulness regarding people. They know where to go for emotional support, and they know where to go for sex, generally not the same resource for both.

Can verify, two of my old friends became drug dealers and the results are no lie.

I feel like this goes for most of these "attractive" traits. Confidence alone is not attractive, it can only enhance someone that's already attractive in the first place; chances are they're confident BECAUSE they're hot, not the other way around. Same goes with being funny. Either being funny isn't actually that attractive, or so many girls around me have been fake pity laughing aka enacting social manipulation.
