Just because they are not guilty doesn't mean the allegation was false, it just means there was not enough evidence to convict and therefore they are presumed innocent. Rape is a very tricky thing to convict for. Unless a rape was violent, it is very difficult to prove. With forensics you can prove that someone had sex, but there is no way to prove rape.
