Here is how I think about it. People hate things they can't understand. Think how many people hate doing math at school and why that is. Aromantic and asexual are two different things. Women tend to be more asexual and men tend to be more aromantic on average but people can be both. I know that I am an aromantic but not asexual. I agree with you. I call this effect the no-fap-glasses. It annoyes the living shit out of me.
