Birth replacement rate is only a problem if you consider a continually increasing population to be a good thing. I honestly think we’re overdue a correction, and we’re in no danger of running out of people. The emerging social trend is largely caused by women not needing a relationship for material reasons or social acceptance. Dudes have to offer more than material provision to be considered a good partner. I don’t think that’s a problem either.

People are absolutely still coupling up. It looks different to the past, and we’re undergoing a cultural wrench; but people are still absolutely coupling up. Marriage rates and age of first marriage are on the decline, but that’s a persistent trend. People are forming permanent relationships at older ages, but that’s following a similar trend. What we’re doing a lot less of is casual sex, and I don’t even think that’s a particular problem. If what these terp doomsayers was true, every woman on t…

I just…did a post on the causes. Right there. You replied to it… OP is whining about women thinking men are luxury goods something something hoeflation. I’m saying: that’s cooked shit what the fuck are you talking people are still getting together just fine and where they’re not, the reasons are material not terp conspiracy theories.

See my aforementioned “brains melted by social media” comment. But that’s the absolute tip of the iceberg. To me, the far more proximate cause of our dating woes are material. We’re broke. The rent is too damn high. We’ve got too little leisure time and we spend most of that online because cheap or free third spaces barely exist. Couple that to the planet being run by a class of Epstein lizards who are laughing into their sleeves while men and women bicker. But yeah. Sure. It’s definitely all th…

“Relationship Discourse” is the most cooked people on the planet hooting at each other on social media - where they’re rewarded for being the absolute worst versions of themselves. Lock most of these people out of the boiler room and they’ll behave semi-normally.

If you’re unironically using the word “jester”, you’re basically sticking a huge neon sign on your forehead saying “I’m a resentful prick who will be a fucking insecure paranoid nightmare to date.”

Yeah no shit mate. A good relationship doesn’t mean you’re in a constant state of skipping gaily through fields of wildflowers. Some of you are determined to think you’re miserable if you don’t get to be constantly happy.

Dude - this just reads like someone who has had their brain melted by the internet and who needs to take a casual glance outside to see the men and women meeting, coupling up and being happy. Men are responsible for “hoeflation” insofar as they’re inventing it in their heads after not being able to snag the baddie they think they deserve.

Men as a whole are acting very differently to a generation previously. There’s absolutely no way my missus would tolerate the dynamic in my parents relationship; nor would I for that matter. That’s not to say that culture is keeping up with women’s wants, or that individual men are adjusting, but it’s happening. Culture drags, dude. But if women are voting with their feet, men will have to adjust. You can be as heteropessimistic as you like, but if you want a male partner, at the end of the day …

I have a suggestion… <Internationale Intensifies>
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 12:11 AM

To be clear - I think the terp take on this is adding 2 and 2 and making 5. Hot men get more attention, but their faulty assumption is that it’s a zero sum game and that means that less hot men get none. But that still implies a concentration in a relatively small group of men. The “choose better” thing is still bullshit. You can’t know a dude’s intentions ahead of time - particularly if he’s basically a stranger when you meet.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 08:57 PM

Mate - don’t be disingenuous. Blind Freddy can see that good looking, socially adroit men get the lions share of women’s attention. The mistake terps make is in assuming that this is somehow a new phenomenon, or that men don’t do the exact same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 07:45 PM

Dude - I get what you’re going for; but a fella really needs to bring his A game to get so much as a look in. I think a lot of guys put themselves in shitty positions to meet compatible women; but even in places where compatible women might be, it still feels like defusing a series of landmines.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 11:21 AM

It’s true, it’s just not very useful.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:34 AM

Funny. I’d say the same about whiny terps who think that treating women like people with their own hopes and dreams is somehow a grotesque overreach.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 10:09 PM

I am begging you to log off and go outside. The world is crammed with deeply unimpressive specimens walking hand in hand with women who are obviously into them. It honestly makes me laugh that you guys think that good-looking men getting the lions share of women’s attention is somehow a new thing. That doesn’t mean that if you’re a normal-looking dude, romance and love is somehow foreclosed.

Women’s attraction isnt a big switch in their brains marked ON and OFF. A lot of women are attracted to demonstrations of competence or mastery in guys. That’s not a glitch, it’s a feature.

As I’ve said many times on this sub; if red pill was a movement that encouraged men to be the best version of themselves by developing some self esteem and boundaries, hobbies and an active lifestyle, I would be in their corner waving my pom poms and hooting. What red pill actually does is take lonely mens’ latent fear and resentment of women, cranks it to 11 and snaps off the knob. It gives them a whole paranoid worldview on why the girls are out to get them and it’s not fair. It takes the masc…

“The squeaky wheel gets the grease” is an idiom meaning whoever makes the most noise gets more attention. Lonely men have always existed, as you said. The red pill decided to make it womens’ problem, so they get attention now.

The condescension doesn’t suit you. I’m 47. I can talk to anyone. I’ve been around the block enough times to not be pressed if someone tries to humiliate me. As a callow teen though… As I said - it’s a skill set. If you’re unsteady on your feet and in your head, it’s very easy to botch things. And just occasionally, you’ll try it on with a woman who has decided to make an example of you. It’s mortifying. It can really shred whatever confidence you might have built. Dude - do you just brush off social humiliation? I'll lay cash on the barrelhead that you don't - because that shit hurts. And I mean that in a literal sense - the brain processes social rejection the same way it processes physical pain. Being useful to those around me. Much as I’d like to think I have inherent value by virtue of my existence, I just don’t think it’s true. Now, I think other people deserve dignity and respect regardless, but I don’t believe it of myself. As a result, the only thing that keeps the wolf from the door is where I’m of service to others. Not for their thanks, but for the knowledge I’m a net positive. So I work hard, I volunteer, I try to do good works in my community. While that’s the case, I have wo…

Dude the advice was that I was coming across very intense and over-the-top around women because I didn’t have much experience interacting with them (I went to an all-boys school). I was talking to them like they were a different species. Her advice was basically “girls are people. Stop trying so hard to impress them and just chill out and talk to them like you want to know more about them. If they like you, you’ll figure it out pretty quickly.” Excellent advice. Dude - if you’re so stressed about being drafted, you’d find waaaay more sympathetic ears among women for repealing the draft bill. They tend to lean far more to the left than men. Maybe do that.

I am heartened to see young men starting to be far more forthright and open about their struggles. Or at least they were, until the iron hand of reactionary masculinity came slamming down on it for being soy and gay.

Thinking that you can somehow dodge divorce via geographic loophole is dumb as hell - as if you’re not somehow party to the marriage, and its dissolution is entirely something that’s inflicted upon you.

This is a tough one. I’ve never been the sort of guy to deride seeking help, and there was help available through my union - support was there to be had. I was mostly lonely and isolated. I was in a new city and didn’t have any friends I could confide in. I didn’t feel like I could burden my wife with my accelerating depression. So I did what I was “supposed” to do and kept moving. Asking men how they deal with toxic masculinity is like asking a fish how the water is.

Given that it took me getting to the point of standing on a 40th floor deck of a building I was working on looking over the edge and very seriously contemplating a quick two-step, yeah. Literally the only thing that stopped me in that moment was the thought that some poor bastard would have to shovel up the mess, and my mates would have to watch me go over the edge. I still have occasional nightmares about that moment. God I wish I’d spoken to someone earlier.

It’s mostly deflection. It’s not evil. If you’re a guy out in the world, you will find ample evidence of the evil men do. And social media will serve you a buffet of examples. And of women calling attention to it in anger and indignation. If you’re a bloke out here trying his best, personalising all that shit will make you go insane. And it’s very hard not to personalise it when there’s so much of it. You’re not a monster. You’re trying to do the right thing. When women, in anger, accuse “men” o…

I heard a stat 🙄 And I heard a stat that most of the people who die of cancer underwent chemotherapy. Guess that shit doesn’t work either. My unsatisfying GnX answer is that you meet them by widening your interests, widening your social circle and being more selective about who you try to date. There’s a tendency to take the app dating attitude into the real world and try to date as many women as possible. That just leads to a bunch of unsatisfying dates with semi-compatible women. You’re far better off meeting a bunch of women socially and seeing what the vibe is, and not being in a huge rush to get them alone. That takes time and…

Can we recognise that there's an asymmetry in men's and women's access to casual sex with partners they do find attractive? Like - where women actually are interested in casual sex, they will have far less trouble finding it than men will. It is actually possible to recognise that fact AND not treat it like it's some terrible injustice that simply must be remedied...

Dude - being a simp and not stressing about the cost of buying a chick a bunch of flowers are two different things. Strangely enough, most women aren't going to go to the hassle of a getting dolled up to go on a date with a guy they aren't at least mildly interested in for the price of an appetiser and a glass of pinot gris. Simping is the dogged refusal of a dude to recognise that a woman isn't interested in him. It's very occasionally taken advantage of by a chick trying to milk the poor sap d…

How much is your course? For real - so many of you MFs are barking up the wrong tree with this shit. You treat meeting women like you're grinding XP to get to the level you need to get into a new area in WoW. Women only tangentially give a shit about this stuff. Are you fun to be around? Do you make her laugh? Are you kind to people? Is your vibe good? That shit will actually ingratiate you to women.

You dudes are convinced that women are making these incredible demands. I swear they’re not. If you’re a guy with a vaguely symmetrical face who can hold an adult conversation and can plan a date, and you’re prepared to put a little effort in you’ll be able to get a girlfriend you like and who likes you back. What you probably won’t be able to do is bag an absolute baddie or build up an extensive body count. That’s fine, but a lot of dudes seem to get real butthurt about it.

lol. Bro - if that 75 refers to your birth year, you’re either lying or delusional. I’m about that age. I run or lift every day. I’m in very good shape for a bloke in his late 40s. But I’m not remotely the physical specimen I was in my 20s. I assume this downhill slide will continue. That’s ageing. It’s not what I’d prefer, but there it is.

I get where you’re going, but you can’t really untangle to two. IMO, in a functional relationship desire is an expression of emotional closeness, and vice versa. (source - happily partnered/married for 20+ years).

Thing is, I don’t even disagree with her. Patriarchy and capitalism do assume the subordination of women, as well as pretty much anyone who’s not a rich capital owner. But if lefties like me love anything more than purity testing, I’m yet to see what it is 😑

To be fair, I don’t think “settling” never happens; but I think it’s far more complicated than the weird girl-arithmetic that terp guys assume is going on in women’s heads. They seem to think that women’s desire or attraction is a fixed quality, and nothing they do can change that.

They want romance from men that are attractive from the start. Uhh…yeah dude. Why would a woman date someone she’s not attracted to? Would you date a woman you weren’t attracted to? Anything less than that, and you’re seen as useful, not attractive. The rampant paranoia of you dudes is a sight to behold. Are there women out there who will use you? Yes. Are they common? Fuck no. Become friends with a guy. No no no. No bait-and-switch. For the love of Christ, just be real and have some boundaries. If a guy is trying to get in your pants, that’s not in itself a bad thing. He might genuinely like you as a person too. If you tell him to slow his roll and he bails, you just found out that was all he was interested in.

When I say “pornified” I mean that we’re sold a version of sex that looks like porn
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 04:57 PM

If you actually talk to guys, a lot of them are horribly alienated from their sexuality. Every bit as much as women are. We’re sold this pornified, competitive, performative view of what sex and sexuality is. The idea that men are compulsive novelty seekers who are only attracted to youth is rubbish. Those things are attractive; but so is closeness, connection, safety and familiarity. I honestly don’t buy that male and female sexuality are that different from one another, and we’re frankly artif…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 11:58 AM

You’re talking about a small element of men’s sexuality that gets talked about the most loudly, because it’s the “acceptable” face of domineering sexuality that we’re allowed to talk about under patriarchy. Men’s actual sexuality is vastly more complicated and varied in the real world. When we’re allowed to think about it, anyway. Don’t write it off as uncaring, oafish and cruel. It’s doing a disservice to everyone.

Fucks sake. No. Bluepill doesn’t say dating is easy, actually. All we say is redpill is bullshit and is making your life appreciably worse If redpill was limited to having some self-respect and trying to be a better version of yourself, I would absolutely be in their corner. They lose me with the “women are actually sexy robot aliens who are trying to drain your precious bodily fluids” insanity.

Mate - being bluepill doesn't mean walking through life like Pollyanna. Dating is hard and people are weird. It just means that I think Redpill is a steaming pile of misogynist crap that makes everyone's life worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/26 06:39 AM

I’m not morally opposed. I just don’t think any of them work. Why is every video about polyamory either: A: “I would never judge monogamous people, but here’s why I’m so much more mature and evolved than you”, or B: “Here’s how to quiet the voice in your head that says something is very fucking wrong.”

From talking to my friends who’ve gone to these events, they sound like they’re every bit the crap-shoot that the apps are. The women get frustrated with the apps and wanna meet “Organically”, but go to the events with app-brain, immediately left-swipe every guy there without talking to them because meeting strangers is awkward and just talk to the other women there. The guys attend one event, get discouraged, and never go back - leading to a constant shortage of men. As one guy I know who went …

/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 11:11 PM

That wasn't trolling at all. All of your comments are so redolent of that era of Reddit that it's almost spooky.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 10:04 AM

I guess then you optimized the wrong goal. Yes. And that was a far more profound learning than "Touching girls' boobs is awesome". It shakes you to your core when you realise that what you think you want, and what you might discover you want can be two very different things. You start to consider what the source of your desires is. Do you actually want it - or are you just conditioned to think you want it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 10:03 AM

This post has made strange alliances indeed.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:53 AM

What about where the intentional improvement was getting better at romancing women and getting them in bed? What if that turns out not to be all it's cracked up to be? That's kinda how it worked for me. You might grow by conscious effort - true. But I'd argue that you learn a shitload more by fuck-ups and disappointment.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:53 AM

Are you an FDS poster who has somehow time-travelled forward from 2017? Are you going to tell us that looking at porn causes male-pattern baldness next?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:46 AM

Okay. What is growth; if not learning things about yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:39 AM

OP's post addressing men is like CEO explaining how pizza parties are better than raises. Chef's kiss.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:37 AM

Or - hear me out - they're just regular guys struggling in romance. They mean well, but they get nervous around women, act awkwardly, doubt themselves constantly and feel completely invisible. Men and women are exactly the same in that they want to feel desired.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:34 AM

Quitting after getting burned isn’t growth BTW. Pretty sure it is, champ. I had enough hook-ups to realise hookups weren't my jam. That's how most people operate.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:27 AM

Have you tried looking at this from a man's perspective? I know what you think you said; but that is 100% not how it will be received. Particularly by young men who already feel like unfuckable losers - even though they're just normal guys trying to make their way in romance. It's kinda like when you hear some woman online say something like: "You good-hearted guys who get ignored while women go and make a bunch of romantic mistakes with wildly unsuitable men; we'll come around to you eventually…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:24 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 10:14 AM

I read the post. I've read this post hundreds of time. It never gets any less stupid. "The only good interaction with a woman is her immediately wanting to fuck you. Being nice to her for any reason is going to turn her into an egomaniac. Also, girls are stinky and boring. The only thing a woman can offer you is sex." Do you terps ever get tired of this shit? Does it ever occur that being a horrid little bridge troll is making your life significantly worse?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 10:07 AM

Christ. Find a new insult. I haven't hear that since the early days of the internet. If you feel like an unfuckable little troll who can't imagine how a woman could ever feel any kind of desire for you because your self esteem is so appalling, hating chicks won't help you. Therapy might. Try that.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 09:54 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 09:37 AM

The sprinkle sprinkle lady springs to mind. Teal Swan. Margarita Nazarenko. The Tradwife contingent are a subgenre. There’s a multicoloured galaxy of these freaks. Note - they’re not as immediately physically dangerous as Tate et al; but they’re grifters encouraging women to live a life they themselves do not lead.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 01:19 AM

I have zoomer apprentices. These are normal-looking, friendly young guys with regular interests, a normal group of friends and stupid haircuts and/or facial hair. They all have girlfriends. Their friends all have girlfriends. They’re not drowning in the pussy, but none of them struggle unduly to meet women and form relationships. Much as I hesitate to say that the abject lack of dating success in the radicalised terp community is a skill issue - it’s a fucken skill issue.

Oh fucking stop. Misogynists absolutely hate women They’ve moved beyond simple violent ideation, because we pretty much turn a blind eye to that as a society. They demand submission instead. They’re so stunted that they can’t imagine what being respected looks like; so fearful deference is the closest they can imagine. They live in horror of having to deal with a woman who they’ll have to deal with on an even footing.

Men’s problems with “the system” are almost entirely related to capitalism and male socialisation, IME; rather than “Big Woke”. Men have genuine problems. Mental health, access to healthcare, being poorly-equipped as fathers and being locked out of care. Our response to this - as the terps champion anyway - is to double down on the shit that’s fucking us up. Bravo lads.

I never said I wasn’t on decent coin. Nowhere near what she’s on, but I do fine. But a job is more than a paycheque. There are class signifiers involved in blue collar employment that can be tricky in a field that can be as snobby as the law, or finance or similar. But I know a baker with a c-suite woman, plumbers with lawyers and a carpenter with a doctor. Women tend to couple up with people in similar fields because of proximity, rather than some laser-like focus on money and status.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 02:11 AM

How so? Seriously dude - where is this conspiracy to keep the hetero man down? Things might have come back to the pack for us, but we’re still number one. Life might not be all wine and roses, but it’s still pretty fucken good on the whole - especially if you’re white and able-bodied. And if you’re advocating for something that will materially affect another group, why wouldn’t you expect pushback?

Sure mate. What spaces are you talking about? They let the woms into male social and professional spaces in the 70s and 80s. There are very few single gender spaces for men or women. As for men’s homeless shelters; these largely close due to a lack of volunteers. If you’re so invested in helping the homeless men of your city, head down to the local shelter and see if you can lend a hand.

Terp revenge fantasies aside, a lot of single mums do find it harder to find men to date. Not impossible. Just harder. Some men are more than happy to take on the role of stepdad, but many aren't - particularly to young kids, or in situations where there's a lot of baby daddy drama. I think it's foolish to assume that your dating life will be plain sailing as a single mum, but it's far from over.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/25 06:57 AM

Edgy teenager mentality.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/25 03:21 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 10:37 PM

These damned war-mongering blue hairs!
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 09:00 PM

Obviously I’ll try to protect her. Much as I’d like to think I’d try to protect anyone smaller and weaker. But in what world is this happening as an even remotely likely possibility. You might as well claim I have some moral superiority because I’m taller, and thus more likely to be struck by lightning. This is not the gotcha you think it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 08:57 PM

My counter was my first comment. You’re acting like you’re living in a world where you’ll need to “protect” (lol - you won’t. At least not in any way that will put you in bodily danger) and “provide” (have a job). Acting like the girls having a job and not cleaning up after you is some kind of gross upset to the natural order is some goofy shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 07:05 PM

I think we’re in furious agreement here. I am pro-abolition of conscription. My beef is largely with the way this topic is usually framed. Rarely is it an anti-conscription argument. It’s almost always “women are exempt from conscription, (so they deserve fewer rights)”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 04:04 AM
1

And which we’d rather view as not full citizens, as they lack that responsibility. You terps act like the lack of selective service for women is the sine qua non of why the girls deserve less; without recognition of the fact that no one wants to change the status quo. Are you lobbying your congressman for adding women to selective service? Or is it just a convenient thing to whine about?

No mate - that’s a genuine question. Do you think the normies would stomach too many women with missing limbs or torn apart faces? How many flag-draped coffins containing what used to be someone’s daughter? We’re enculturated to deal with male conscript casualties of war. We’ll even tolerate women as civilian casualties. Sometimes we’ll grit our teeth and salute when a female volunteer eats an IED. But we get very squeamish about making a girl pick up a gun, pointing her at the enemy, and everyt…

I’ve been saying this the whole time. The solution to men’s ills is in our own hands. We are the agents of our own liberation. No girls required. Our loneliness doesn’t stem from the gurls not wanting to touch our dicks. It stems from our enculturated unwillingness to allow ourselves to be close to one another. We are not individuals in competition first and foremost. We are a collaborative species, and we’d do well to remember it.

I dispute that fathers do paid work primarily for their own benefit. Nothing quite focuses the male mind like having to provide for a young family. I saw this with a lot of my peers; guys who were maybe a little blase about work suddenly started really kicking goals when their kids arrived and the greater expectation of providing for the family fell upon them. None of this is to dispute the fact that men (as a cohort) need to step it up in the domestic sphere.

I’m 6’1”, have a job that pays well north of 100k, and I’m a big enough gym psycho that if I’m a bit dehydrated, I’ve got a six pack. I’ve also got a side business with a reasonable amount of social cachet. According to terp logic, I should have a horde of thirsty women in my DMs; even though as a married man I’m doing nothing to court their attention. Lol no. Maybe you boys are focusing on the wrong shit. I mean - that brings into sight yawning vistas of having to listen to women when they say …
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/25 09:45 PM

For what? Disagreeing with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/25 09:37 PM

Because it’s selfish, asocial bullshit? Our lives as men significantly improve when we stop acting like fucking misers. We ought to serve others. We ought to be generous. You clowns act like serving others or giving of yourself is somehow beneath you. As if acting like a responsible adult somehow means that you’re being taken advantage of. As if not treating every interaction like it’s a double-entry ledger is being treated like a fool. It’s the mentality of a child. It’s pathetic. It’s contempt…

Walk them to their car if we’re somewhere a little sketchy. Help them with heavy stuff. Fix things (most of my guy friends are pretty handy). That’s about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 09:03 AM

Women do care about looks though. It’s not the only thing they care about, but it’s not a coincidence that average-looking guys have a hell of a time getting dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 10:38 PM

Sure I’m confirming it. It’s Pretty Privilege. It’s pretty widely understood. It works exactly the same for men though. Pretending that women aren’t doing some way-out shit for hot guys is being wilfully ignorant. You can either accept it, or look for a guy who treats you to a standard you’re happy with.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 10:07 PM

Okay. Let’s take a step back. So you’re not satisfied with your boyfriend’s efforts in buying you flowers, planning nice dates, giving you compliments, etc. You see good looking women (either IRL or on social media) receiving that sort of treatment. You surmise that this is because she’s hot; and consider that to be unfair. Okay. A lot of guys complain that the women they want to date will make them jump through hoops that Chad never had to because he’s hot, and they consider that unfair. There’…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 09:50 PM

Sorry - I’m not sure I’m following. Are you saying your partner treated their better-looking ex better than you; or you perceive that better looking women are receiving better treatment than you receive from your current partner? Because, to me, those sound exactly the same as terp/blackpill whining.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 09:35 PM

I think it’s the exact same resentment. Someone else is receiving treatment you think you deserve because of the way they look. Implicit in that statement is the assumption that other virtues (that you presumably perceive yourself to have) ought to be worth more, were the world just. Or are you doing the “she fucked Chad straight away, but made me wait” thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 09:29 PM

I reckon a lot of the “good treatment” good looking women get is down to men feeling insecure about her. As a bloke, you’re painfully aware of how many men are eye-fucking your hot girlfriend; and you suddenly feel extremely replaceable. A lot of guys will try to compensate with extra attention, gifts, etc. But it’s empty and exhausting and anxiety-inducing. If you’re a normal-looking woman standing on the outside looking in, I get that it’d be jealousy-inducing. Just look at the blackpillers ho…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 09:04 PM

I am an introvert. Why do so many people hear “introvert” and read “misanthropic shut in”. Lots of things that I enjoy take energy. That’s fine. You don’t have to be out gladhanding people 24/7.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 07:48 PM

Oh the grind of <checks notes> going out and socialising. What?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 04:19 AM

This is part of the reason I’m anti redpill. It’s mostly the misogyny; but it’s also because these guys are just making themselves fucking miserable following the advice of a cadre of freaks and losers about what women want. It never occurs to them to take a look outside, or - God forbid - listen to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 01:34 AM

You’re confusing “Joe Schmoe” with “4chan shut-in”
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 01:28 AM

If you’re the sort of terminally online sperg who thinks that women walking around with hypergamy terminator-vision for high-earning men, you probably do believe that a doctor has a mob of hornt-up women banging on his door. But if you’ve got a passing grip on reality (and you’ve done any hospitality work), you know that the waiter who can hold a conversation is fuckin’.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 01:27 AM

Exactly. It couldn’t be that trying to meet someone you like and they like you back can be difficult, frustrating and a matter of luck. Or that you can improve your odds of meeting that person by just going out and meeting people face to face. No - the wimmens are conspiring to keep you a kissless virgin for…reasons…I guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 01:17 AM

I’m not talking about cold approaches dude. Where did I say that? I’m talking about socialising, having interests that get you out of the house and meeting people and the like. If you’re used to conversing with women as just normal people, you won’t turn into a stuttering mess when you actually want to hit on one. I’m just making fun of the fact you’re writing this like it’s some sort of gold nugget of hidden knowledge.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 01:13 AM

If you talk to more women, you’re more likely to meet one who’s attracted to you? WHO HAS BEEN HIDING THIS FROM US?! IS IT THE CIA?!!!
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 01:06 AM

Mate - society is less violent now than it has ever been. You are unlikely in the extreme to ever be called upon to physically intervene in any situation; and spending any time on it is idle fantasy. The whole “protector” thing is largely the bloviating of online dickheads who think their role as “protector” should get them out of doing chores or caring for their children.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/25 10:43 PM
1

That’s true, but the dating landscape has changed. There is a not insignificant number of women will date a “roster” of dudes. A lot of guys feel in this environment that showing up like the men of yesteryear is being taken as a fool and over investing in someone not matching their investment. Which sucks if you’re in the majority of women who just want to meet one nice dude and start a relationship. It’s “whoever cares less wins”, and a race to the bottom.

Society has changed. Courting should naturally do the same. None of this is an excuse to be rude, callous, or disrespectful of anyone; but getting hung up on who pays for what and etiquette we’ve entirely discarded in other spheres of life seems like an elaborate cover for being too cowardly to actually take the kinds of risks that love demands.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 05:33 AM

It’s true. No one under 6’ has ever got laid. It’s science.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 12:49 AM

gaslighting Fuck me… I’m not 100% convinced a lot of you guys can tell the difference between actual women and the shit you’re absorbing online. Look - partnering up with someone compatible might require the holes in the Swiss cheese to line up; but the world is decidedly not full of women who’ve slavishly followed the terp script of cock carousel to “where are the good men” to cats and wine. I have plenty of single gal friends. I can tell you why each one is single - but it’s not for some gross…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 12:47 AM

It varied across time. When I was a teen - I was mostly just horny. Women were mysterious, exciting creatures; and I just desperately wanted to get my hands on any willing girl. I had enough hookups to realise that hookups weren't really for me. When I was in my early 20s, I wanted a girlfriend to hang out with, give my affection to and have fun with. Women were still mysterious and exciting, but they were also people who I liked. When I hit 23, I met a really cool chick, fell in love, and the d…

/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 05:06 AM

Because the generation of men who tend to have sick wives were extremely poorly socialised as carers - if anything, kept at arms length from being allowed to care. They find themselves thrust headfirst into that situation, find themselves completely at sea, and flee in panic. I’m not saying that’s an excuse. Patently it isn’t. But people talk about this phenomenon like it’s some moral flaw encoded in male DNA that women are somehow immune to.

Oy. When I say “matches aren’t options”, I mean it quite literally. I’ve talked with women about this. They get a heap of matches that immediately unmatch. It reflects guys right swiping everything and then reading profiles. I’m not even saying that’s not a legitimate tactic - but it massively skews the stats. As far as good options; a lot of men have zero text game, or are just plain ol’ checked out. Understandable, given how awful the overall experience of online dating is. In short - no one’s…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 10:52 PM

I am begging you to stop watching ragebait TikToks
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 10:46 PM

Sigh. Okay. I’ll explain this very slowly. You don’t want to have sex with someone you’re not attracted to in a dangerous situation. That’s fair. Now reach deep down inside to that dusty box in the back of your brain marked “empathy” and take a look inside. Neither do women, dude. You think being used as a warmed-up fleshlight by some dude who may or may not give a shit about your pleasure, comfort or safety is particularly appealing?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 09:09 PM

Wat? Women don’t have dating problems because they can hire an escort? All your problems are solved bro! You can go have sex with an attractive woman. Just go see an escort.

Matches on Tinder doesn’t mean options. Options doesn’t mean good options. The main complaint I get from my single women friends is that even if you get into a convo with a guy on the app, they’re terrible conversationalists, and even when they’re not, they’re painfully low-effort and not even trying to hide the fact that they’re utterly disinterested in anything but getting laid. I’ve seen the pics. These are not 6’5 blue eyed trust fund boys we’re talking about here either.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 07:38 PM

Some women are drowning in options. Most are living the same lives of quiet desperation as the boys. Matches on tinder don’t mean dick. You’re also assuming that the options they’re drowning in are good ones, or that they have the energy and wherewithal to filter them.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 06:33 PM

owtracizing No. It’s not ostracism to pull someone up on their shitty, self destructive beliefs. I’m not in the business of shouting young blokes down for having dumb ideas. I’ve had a lot of dumb ideas myself, and was lucky to have had people with my best interests at heart pull me up on them. It’s more of a reality check. Along the lines of “you’re saying all this stuff about what women want, but Timmy over there has the same job, rough head and stupid haircut you do, and he has a girlfriend. …
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 04:53 PM

Not really. I work with almost entirely men. Occasionally you’ll hear a young dude spouting some incel-adjacent bullshit. The old heads will pull him up, ask him “yeah - but is that true mate”, and he’ll just double down, or sulk because he’s being “picked on”. A lot of these cunts are perpetual victims that most people don’t have time to mollycoddle
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 03:47 PM

Dude - “pair bonding” happens in monogamous bird species (who still cheat all the time). We’re not fucking birds. If you’ve got a huge body count, it might indicate an impulsive personality and liking to fuck. It doesn’t mean you can’t “pair bond”. You’re putting the cart before the horse.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 03:56 PM

There’s literally nothing stopping you from becoming a nurse. What are you? A coward?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 10:15 AM

Well…yeah dude. The girls gotta do the chores too. Equality cuts both ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 06:11 AM

I unblocked a drain at a hospital. It was a pretty gross job. I had to climb in under the building, cut the blocked pipe out and shovel a bunch of shit into buckets and drag them outside before repairing the pipe. The nurse on the desk said - deadass - “I can’t imagine having to do something that gross!” I damn near pissed myself laughing.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 06:07 AM

My romantic life is doing my share of the chores? Seriously dude - his points were “men have blue collar job” and “wimmen no hav babby”. Okay? What does that imply? What are we to draw from these pithy observations?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 05:00 AM

Dude - I’m out here right now being manly as all get out. Regard my calloused hands, tanned skin and big fuck-off beard. I’m fixing shit. I’m keeping the infrastructure running. I’m yelling at apprentices. I’m like a piece of Soviet art over here. The flair isn’t just a bit. I’m still gonna do the dishes and vacuum the floors when I get home because I’m a fucking grown up. Shit has changed. Women have jobs, and it’s on us not to be whiny little babies about the fact we have to cook and clean and…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 02:49 AM

You must be new here. Ever seen the muh dangerous man jobs discourse? It’s “society would fall apart if men decided not to do their jerbs!” Yeah - no shit dude. It’d fall apart if the women didn’t too. It’s incredibly dumb.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 02:21 AM

K. Heard of nurses? Mostly women. Dirty dangerous work. Replete with fucked backs, dodgy knees and torn rotators. Not to mention a highly elevated risk of workplace violence. Oh yeah - and PTSD. You probably won’t die at work - but you might wish you did. I note that they very rarely get brought up in the “men have it worse because hard job” discourse.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 02:10 AM

Mostly that all the dudes hooting about muh dangerous man jobs have zero interest or experience in said jobs; and are using my field as a stick to beat women with. The fact I shower after work rather than before and keep my life insurance paid up isn’t evidence that ackshully, men are the most oppressed checkmate feminism. Yeah - those jobs are fucking dirty and dangerous and mostly done by men. What’s your point? That the gurls should be nicer to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 02:05 AM

Challenging is a positive reinforcement if you’re wired that way. Try telling a boy to “be a good boy and put the bins out”. He’ll probably do it, but there’s no positive reinforcement. Instead - try “I’ll time you putting the bins out”. He’ll be “IM THE FASTEST BOY IN THE WORLD!” That feeling is positive reinforcement.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 10:48 PM

I guess that didn’t come across the way i meant it to. I didn’t mean it’s somehow immature to tell a girl she’s well-behaved. I mean praising her for being “good” isn’t any better a prompt for seeking good behaviour that challenging a boy with “bet you can’t”. Just because a lot of teachers find it easier to control a class full of people-pleasers, it doesn’t make that behaviour necessarily “more mature”; unless you take “more mature” to mean quiet and pliant. TBH, praising students for being “m…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 10:43 PM

No - as in needing to praise girls by isn’t any different to challenging boys; nor is it evidence that girls are somehow more mature. I don’t think girls will just naturally behave themselves without some kind of positive reinforcement. It’s just recognition that boys and girls tend to respond better to different prompts. To what extent that’s innate or conditioned I don’t know.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 10:34 PM

No more than giving a girl praise for being a “good girl” for sitting quietly.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 08:28 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 05:34 PM

Rubbish. Pushing that kind of weight around is a liability. Ever ask women what they like? There's a lot more chicks who are into Fight Club era Pitt than Eddie Hall; and that's when they have particularly strong views on physiques. You wanna be a powerlifter - have at it. It's a worthy sport, but it's not a chick magnet.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 10:21 AM

Always alarming when I find myself in agreement with a terp.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 10:16 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 10:10 AM

I'm fairly unconvinced of this too - or where it's true, it's not really that big of a difference. I think the major difference is that girl's acting out comes in less obvious and less physically destructive forms (or at least, destructive to those around them).
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 10:06 AM

It's interesting to see you post this. I have a close friend who teaches at an all-boys school. He says he thoroughly enjoys it and finds keeping classes focussed and under control is a breeze with the right tools and attitudes - it's simply a matter of challenging the boys, rather than trying to dominate them. He said something that stuck with me: "Never tell a boy 'don't do x'. That's practically begging them to do it. Say 'I'll bet you can't do y', when y is a constructive behavior."
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 10:01 AM

I swear some of you are having trouble discerning between real life and social media. I find this deeply concerning.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 07:47 PM
2

Sure mate. You’ve definitely just reciting these tired terp talking points and buzzwords out of whole cloth. Pure coincidence. And what you’re experiencing isn’t gaslighting. It’s some very mild pushback.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 07:44 PM
7

Nah dog. Your brain is pretty obviously melted thanks to social media.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 06:51 PM

I'm pretty well involved in my local punk scene. I know more than my share of Crusties and assorted unwashed dirtbags. Hell - I frequently am one. But that's just sweaty, dirty and/or unwashed. It's an entirely different energy to the sex nerds, who are - I cannot stress this enough - greasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 09:52 AM
3

Then why are you repeating talking points from that kind of media more or less verbatim? Like - how many actual women have you met who demanded to be provided for (except as a bit, anyway)? Would you demand your wife cook and clean for you outside of the context of her needing to do her share of chores around the house?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 09:45 AM

Dude. Stop watching manosphere brainrot and TikTok ragebait, and talk to some actual women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 07:15 AM

Ever clean a septic tank champ? Cos I have. It’s a tough job. It’s still easier and way less gross than being a nurse. Pays better too.

2

You’re going to need to be more specific mate. What does that mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 05:16 AM

You don’t need to be autistic to be a socially maladroit freak. For real - I’ve read some of my women friends text exchanges with guys off Hinge. What the fuck is wrong with you guys?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 05:14 AM

That is a legitimately good bit. I would have swiped right.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 05:08 AM

Without having read this: If anyone ever asks the question “is this rape?”, you’re about to read something that may or may not meet the actual tortious definition of rape; but you’re definitely going to feel like taking a shower afterwards. Postscript: Read it. I need a shower. Why did I do that to myself. Fuck. And yes. Rapey as all get out. Jesus Fucking Christ dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 04:34 AM
12

No. It’s not the fact someone’s into monster porn, CNC roleplay and general fetish stuff that gives me the ick. It’s the people themselves. Have you ever met the kind of perpetually hornt-up sex nerds that are into that stuff? They’re so greasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 04:28 AM
7

Fuck no. I like my equal marriage. I am proud of my wife’s career achievements. I like taking care of our home. I don’t want to be excluded from the domestic sphere. I don’t want to bear the load of keeping the bills paid alone. I don’t have kids; but if I did I’d want to play an equal role in raising them - like my brother in law and my friends do. “Traditional” roles are a fucking prison. Fuck that.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 02:59 AM

Anecdotal, but all the genuinely smart successful dudes I know are married to smart successful women their own age who the met in their 20s (bar one, who has remained resolutely single). IME - smart, hard-working guys tend to want an intellectual equal, not arm candy.

Given my interests, I know lots of women like that. Most are 35+, so that may not be the group you’re talking about It varies. I know a couple who are cool chicks, but have a long list of ex-boyfriends and - were I single and they were interested in me - I would stay well clear of because their personal lives are a bin fire. I know one who’s been with her equally heavily tattooed and pierced husband since high school. They are in a crust-punk band together and have three very nice grown-up kids.…

Bluepillers give advice - but it tends to be too general to be especially helpful. That’s because actually helpful advice is specific to people. I could tell you to take an interest in how you dress, do some exercise, groom yourself, have a skincare routine, get some hobbies and interests that bring you into contact with other people, and to generally affect a more positive disposition, and that’d be true, though not especially useful. Useful advice might be giving you specifics on the type of t…

As I said elsewhere - why wouldn’t you meet someone volunteering? You’re in an environment that self-selects for good people and you’re working towards a common goal. If you’re vibing with one of the women there, why not ask her on a date?

Bluepill is just a reaction to Redpill stuff. It’s not really a “thing”. I call myself bluepill because I don’t need to create elaborate conspiracy theories to explain why a woman doesn’t want to fuck me.

There’s no money in saying “You’re doing fine. This isn’t a performance. No one is watching. You just need to care for your partner and be present in the moment. You’ll work the rest out.” Making guys who are insecure even moreso and selling them the one simple trick that will turn them into a sexual tyrannosaurus on the other hand…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 08:22 AM

This whole discourse is just feeding into young people’s insecurities about their sexual performance. Everyone is performing for imaginary cameras and utterly missing everything that’s actually enjoyable about sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 07:52 AM

Some of you guys really are determined to see the world through a lens of paranoid conspiracism. It’s like you think that any woman who isn’t constantly, breathlessly pining for your dick is certainly planning to cuck you and steal all your money. Get a fucking grip. I implore you.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 04:14 AM

Because rejection is hard on the ego. Seriously though, I’d bet that the guys who are almost certain they’ll be rejected aren’t the ones pitching a fit when you say no.

You’re having your brain melted by social media algorithms every bit as much as the terps and blackpillers. Thinking that every dude out there has some evil plan to fuck you and discard you like a used tissue is a surefire way to stay single. Much the same as the dudes on here who are certain that every woman is after your money, and will head for the hills the second you have any kind of financial upset.

I honestly don’t really put too much stock in the study. The online dating “market” is too distorted by its gender imbalance and over-emphasis on visual presentation. I mean, people like to hoot about it because the stats can be used to bash women or men, depending on your agenda; but I don’t think it reveals anything especially useful.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 08:12 PM
5

Read my post again. I said attractive women get a disproportionate amount of attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 06:20 AM
13

It’s like these dudes have just worked out that tall, good-looking, socially adroit men tend to attract the lions share of women’s attention, and it’s just blown their fucking minds. Point out to them that a small number of attractive women get a disproportionate share of male attention too, and they’ll either jam their fingers in their ears or twist themselves in knots explaining why that’s different.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 05:35 AM
6

No. We’re very bad at understanding statistics or statistical risk at anything other than a very abstract level. We might understand at an abstract level that it’s highly unlikely we’ll encounter the partner of our dreams, let alone form a relationship with them on tinder; but we’ll keep swiping anyway because our hindbrain is telling us “there’s shitloads of people here. Just keep swiping…”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 05:20 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/25 12:38 AM

Now that I definitely don’t condone. I’ve hit on women who said they had boyfriends, so I just made a polite exit. Whether it’s true or not is immaterial - it’s a rebuff you just have to take with good grace; and I wish dudes would just accept it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/25 12:31 AM
1

Well, yeah dude. You gotta read the room. If a woman is with a big group of friends, that’s probably a bad bet. If she’s having an intense convo with one friend, ditto. But if she’s alone or with a small group and is looking around, why not go up and say hi. A lot of guys make approaches super high-stakes, and roll up with a very nervous and intense energy. You’re just having a brief chat. If you get a good vibe, you can bring a little bit of flirty energy.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/25 12:28 AM
2

Mate - you don’t come with a neon sign that says “has a boyfriend”. Till you tell me, I don’t know. Or did you mean guys brushed off you saying that you had a boyfriend and continued hitting on you?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/25 12:19 AM
1

Well no; but let’s make the out-of-the-box assumption that I do want to date, but I’m only swiping right on lingerie models. I could be in for a wait.

The whole “hoe phase” thing is so massively overblown by dudes on this sub who watch way too much porn. Even the hoe-iest ho I knew didn’t actually rack up that many bodies. She was mostly just flirting and making out with dudes and it didn’t usually go a whole lot further. Note that this was in the 00s when there was a lot more casual sex happening. The hoe phases of all the women I know usually consisted of a couple of wild nights getting drunk and making out with guys, maybe an ons, maybe a s…

Leagues (as terps construct them) are a dumb idea; but if I’m only attracted to lingerie models, I’m gonna struggle to get a date.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 08:08 PM
7

We’re lonelier and more atomised than ever and our social circles have been ground down to a nub. Doesn’t seem the time to be rejecting cold approaches wholesale, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 08:34 PM
2

I think cold approaches are a good idea in the right context. If you’re down the pub or at a party and see a cute chick, I don’t think there’s any harm in having a little chat. People make this out to be way higher stakes than it actually is. If you get the sense she’d rather be somewhere else, you dip. No harm, no foul. What you don’t do is roll up on women in the street, at the gym, on public transport etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 08:30 PM
2

Dude - as I said elsewhere - we don’t get to slide frictionlessly through life. That’s not to excuse men being creepy or gross; but sometimes we have to have a brief interaction we people we’d rather not talk to, or aren’t in the mood for. For all your annoyance about guys talking to you; all the single gals I know fucken wish more random dudes would nut up and come say hi when they’re out socialising.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 07:57 PM
8

I hate to break it to you; but men rarely have “noble intentions”. I approached my wife - the woman I esteem, respect and love above all others - because I thought she was cute and I wanted to bang her. Then in talking to her discovered she was also really cool and funny. I’m not sure why that initial impulse makes some of you so horrified. What do you need? A long campaign of letter-writing before you’re introduced in person? That people have their libidos shut off until you deem it acceptable …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 07:48 PM
5

To be fair, I don’t think it’s a good idea for guys to approach women in the street. Context is everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 04:20 PM
5

Well yeah - that’s kinda my point. I’m not about to give guys a pass for creepy or harassing behaviour; but we don’t get to glide frictionlessly past each other, never experiencing a negative interaction. Doubly so where romance is concerned.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 04:09 PM
8

Funny. When we approach women it’s 90% not going to be a good time. And yet we persist.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 03:41 PM

It’s almost uncanny how reliably evopsych seems to come to conclusions that are very convenient given the politics of the “scientist” in question.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 06:02 AM
4

Do you think there exists hypotheses that whilst untestable or unprovable, can still have practical value? Look mate, I can’t prove your rock doesn’t keep tigers away; but you don’t get to call it science.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 06:00 AM
2

The hypothesis; though in practice observation leads to hypothesis leads to observation But a hypothesis you don’t test is sorta meaningless. The greater part of the nuts and bolts of actually doing science is experimental design - which is hellishly difficult. Designing an experiment that actually works is very difficult; and relatively easy to poke holes in. Science is hard, yo. There’s a reason I don’t do it anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 01:22 AM
2

No. If youcan’t test a hypothesis, it’s just idle speculation.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/25 11:33 PM

Evo psych is unfalsifiable pseudoscience. Hell - a lot of psychology blunders into pseudoscience, but at least has the capacity to be falsified and tested through experiment. Evo psych inevitably supports whatever vibes-based bullhonky you happen to believe. It’s drawing a target around your arrow.

Anyone unironically using the term “woke mind virus” needs to be kept away from the internet for their own good.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 07:16 PM

I’d argue that that probably wasn’t a “friend” you had; and that you’d do well to take a look at how honest you’re being with yourself and others.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 07:13 PM

Who gets laid isn’t a matter of what’s “fair”, and it never was. Getting all bent out of shape about it isn’t going to change things.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 07:10 PM

Sure. Ever met a hot girl who’s a flaming bitch? I’ll lay money on the barrelhead she’s still got a train of thirsty guys trailing after her. See how that works?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 07:02 PM

People with shitty personalities will pair up and make each other miserable, IME. Either that, or they’re weirdly compatible in their shittiness and will make everyone around them miserable.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 07:00 PM

Okay. What’s your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 06:58 PM

Amazing that that’s your takeaway from my comment. Yes women can have shitty personalities. Jesus Christ dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 06:56 PM

Mate - you’d better have a good personality if you wanna keep a woman. Being hot will get your foot in the door. Thats it. For every hot guy there’s a chick who’s sick of his shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 06:47 PM

Sure it’s disappointing when the woman you liked doesn’t like you back. But what are you gonna do? Make her? You can’t negotiate attraction. You’re a grown up. Either accept the fact you’re not gonna be bumping uglies, or dip.

The 80:20 figure is stupid; as people talk about it like it’s some ironclad statistical law of nature; but it’s not completely false. Like I said - good looking, charismatic guys have always had a disproportionate amount of attention. Just like hot chicks have always had a bevy of thirsty guys in train. Terps are acting like this is some new development. More annoyingly, they seem convinced that bluepillers like me have been brainwashing them that it’s not the case somehow. No dude. You’re putti…

No. I don’t. You guys act like it’s over if you’re not one of the blessed 20% (or 5%, or 0.1%, or whatever your current arbitrary figure is). Most people get into relationships. Just because your Tinder profile isn’t Doordash for pussy, you’re acting like The West Has Fallen Billions Must Die.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 11:31 PM

Dude - good looking, high-status, charming men have always got the lions share of women’s attention. There is nothing new about this. You think 1990s Brad Pitt was at home, sadly jerking off into a sock? You think wall-eyed spergs were drowning in dates? I was there. It was hard. The dry spells were long. Most women didn’t want to know me. The environment has changed, but the fundamentals are the same.

If I'm hanging out with my single mates, it's not at a cafe. We're down the pub, somewhere outdoors, or at each other's houses. I've got no beef with cafes - it's just not a social space for most guys. It has gotten so bad there are now events where the women have to pay cover, and the men get in for FREE! If the organisers are struggling to get men to show up, that seems like a pretty sensible idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 10:13 AM

Yeah - no one likes being disrespected. But am I gonna throw hands every time someone acts like an ass? Fuck no. Seems like a) a quick way to catch a charge and b) kinda confirming the fact you’re a bitch who can’t de-escalate or walk away. Like - if someone’s out to hurt me or someone I care about, that’s another matter entirely; but what need do I have for the respect of someone pathetic enough to refuse to show me any?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 02:43 AM
18

Mate - I work in construction. I am familiar with blokes losing their shit and punching on. Funny thing is, it’s never the competent, respected guys who do it. It’s always the sad little charity cases. The betas, if you will. As for blokes punching women? Scumbags. A bloke can’t take a little criticism? What a fucking sad-act. Oh but she yelled at him? That must have been super fucking scary I can’t even imagine!

Because dicks are magical, or whatever
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 11:18 PM

Well…yeah? What’s your point? That the number of women that could potentially accept the Devils Bargain of tradwifery exceeds the number of men who could potentially accept the Devils Bargain of being a kept man? k.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 02:39 AM

Dude - neither do the overwhelming majority of women. But I guess your idle fantasies are totally grounded in reality huh.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 04:34 PM

Look - no one is gonna stop you being a miserable, selfish ass; but would you kindly stay out of the way and keep quiet while you do it. Also - no whining about the girls being mean to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 04:28 PM
1

Yeah, nah.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 10:23 AM
4

Spot on. This is another reason I'm an advocate of men sharing with other men. The potentially threatening overtones that can crop up just aren't there - or at least to nowhere near the same extent.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 08:59 AM
9

What remnant? What old ways? I know some of you guys are having eschatological fantasies right now, but you need to calm down.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 02:38 AM
10

I think - as usual - women aren’t a monolith here. Some women genuinely want their guys to be freer in expressing their emotional wants and needs. Some just want their men to listen. Some think they want emotional openness, but recoil when they get it. At the same time, way too many men expect the women in their lives to carry their emotional burdens, and it’s frankly unfair. Something has to give.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 02:37 AM
13

Might wanna ask the women about that one mate. You think feminism was some kind of psy-op foisted on women by [someone]? Gimme a break. The feminist toothpaste isn’t going back in the tube. But men can lift each other up. No girls required.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 02:03 AM
13

Did they tho? The missing piece isn’t the girls role. It’s ours. At the time, the girls had to placate their men. It was an economic necessity. The boys were close because that’s how they wanted it. Go to the relationship between Sam and Frodo for a model. The fiction is based on Tolkien’s war experience and Peter Jackson’s deep understanding of the culture of the era.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 01:46 AM
4

True. I think most of the appeal of Tradwife content (to women, anyway) comes from a place of free-floating economic anxiety. Lotta women out there fantasising about not having to worry about the grind of labour and barely making ends meet. Let someone else worry about that shit and just make beautiful things. It’s a complete illusion; but it’s a comforting one.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 01:42 AM
9

Sorry - are you saying the girls need to be more compassionate? If so - nah. Be the change you want to see in the world mate. We need to evolve. We need to be better men - not for women, for each other. There is absolutely precedent for this in the west. Read accounts of male friendships and letters friends wrote each other before WW1. The emotional closeness and clear platonic love is touching. That culture died with so many of that generation in the blood and horror of Flanders. I want to RETV…

I think we men should show each other more compassion, yes. Boys - don’t go to women for compassion. They’re either tapped out, bad at it, or frankly don’t give a fuck. Go to your boys. I honestly think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I consciously started going to my male friends with my struggles years ago. Best fucken decision I ever made. Not once have I been met with anything less than an open ear. More often, I’ve been met with patience, unflagging kindness, and absolute confidence. Would …

This is going to devolve into two camps yelling “did you know that 53% of men are less equal than 86% of women!” As far as I can see, a lot of men aren’t doing well. We’re in a multi-generational process of realigning gender relations, and we’re hitting a particularly uncomfortable bump right now. I’m of the opinion that the main driver of this is the wealth consolidation of late capitalism, rather than any real “gender war”. I feel the “gender war” is more an outgrowth of normal people fighting…

I think that’s a question you need to answer for yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 06:05 AM

I don’t think it’s acceptable to make blanket statements about men. I get that it happens all the fucken time, but I find it tiresome.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 05:29 AM

Those statements were true, and still are. If you’re a miserable little misogynistic bridge troll with no identifiable interests beyond gaming and porn who can’t string together a coherent sentence around a woman you’re not related to, you’re going to struggle with dating. Seriously though - your face isn’t going to improve much. You can work on your personality. It’s not going to get you a harem of thirsty instagram baddies, but it might get you a girlfriend you like who’s nice to you.

For every hot guy, there’s a woman who’s sick of his shit. Chicks also like friendly, funny, charming, kind and sweet guys. There’s examples of bad advice given by bluepillers out there. My major criticism of bluepill advice is that it’s true, but not useful. By the same token, not all advice given by redpillers is bad (though it’s debatable whether that advice is meaningfully redpill). But so much of the complaining I hear by young dudes online isn’t something that they’ve heard bluepillers say; it’s what they’ve heard redpillers tell them it’s what bluepillers are saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 09:55 PM

I swear to god you guys are utterly immune to nuance. We said “women’s sexuality is wired a little different to yours. Most need a little context to go along with the visual. You can make that work to your advantage by being funny, charming, kind and/or interesting” You heard “women don’t care about looks. Dude…where is this happening? Do you mean you really took the whole “Kill All Men” thing to heart 10 years back? Do you mean you’re uncritically swallowing the message from terp grifters that your masculinity is somehow under siege? We’ve mostly been asked to have some regard with how we behave in public and to share the mic. And some of you dudes are taking this as a prompt to throw the toys out of the cot. My god, some of you act hysterical at the slightest bit of criticism.

The tyranny of low expectations for fathers pisses me off. I’m surrounded by men who are great dads. The whole narrative around men being useless extra children to women is so alienated from my experience of those guys - who are out here making costumes for book week, hosting kids parties, remembering birthdays, coaching kids teams and generally being equal partners to the mothers of their kids.

I hate the rhetoric that dads are inevitably gormless bystanders when kids arrive. It sells them short.

Not really, no. I think there are some generic markers of beauty, but the overlap between what people are into gets very fuzzy beyond that. I mean, a lotta folks are losing their shit over Sydney Sweeney atm, and I sorta think she gets lost in the shuffle of other pretty girls.

No dude. Being gay is just something you are. It doesn’t confer magical powers. I’m referring to the gay community in my original post. It’s a culture that has deconstructed masculinity; and I think that’s admirable.

Nightclubs were never a particularly great place to meet women - even back in the 90s - but they sound positively hostile if you’re a young dude these days. That said, I’m talking Australian/European style nightclubs (we didnt really do tables or bottle service) Around where I live, nightclubs are closing all over; but pubs are going pretty well. People still want to go out and socialise, they just don’t want the nightclub experience anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 08:36 PM

Nah. Never been a roids guy. It’s just consistency, a good diet, and lifelong struggle with body dismorphia.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 07:22 PM

The younger women are definitely not impressed by my cum gutters.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 05:41 AM

Oh, I’m not saying no one likes it - there’s a pot for every lid - but I think some terps drastically overestimate the benefits to dating that getting ripped will bring. I’m more inclined to extol the virtues of exercise for its own sake.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 05:40 AM

I am lean. I’m also over 40. My visible abs cut no ice with the mums at school pickup. And FWIW, I don’t mind a compliment from a fellow dude. I’ll take what I can get 😁
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 05:32 AM

I’m pretty firmly of the opinion that any fitness/muscle tone/etc has a rapidly diminishing rate of return on effort past “not fat”. I run or lift six or seven days a week, and I’ve mostly been in at least pretty good shape most of my life past puberty other than a couple of brief “fat” stages. I can’t say it really made much difference in my dating life.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 05:23 AM

Dude - that might have been how you read it; but it was mostly a movement by women for women. This is just further doubling down on a gender relations model that fails to serve either men or women in the current day. It’s reducing men to being a provider, while being resentful when that’s all they have to offer. This sort of bullshit just alienates men from the possibility of being equal partners in the domestic and caring sphere - as if it’s only right that that is exclusively the domain of women - and then has the fucking gall to be mad about it. We all feel unattractive and hopeless at times. Stewing in that isn’t healthy, IMO. Our lives are better with love in them. That’s worth chasing. That’s worth the risk. We don’t have to skip, Pollyanna-like through the world; but giving up at the first sign of adversity is just cowardice.

Your cousin’s example notwithstanding; if anything, men in particular are being fed the opposite these days. We’re convincing young dudes that the only men who women are even remotely interested in are incredibly good looking, fabulously wealthy and extremely tall. Look mate, I get that your entire reality is shaped by terp brainrot on YouTube; but a casual glance outside will reveal a horde of “post wall” women partnering up with guys they show every sign of liking and being attracted to.

Go ahead. But could you (and the MGTOWs) just do it, then shit the fuck up about it and let the rest of us figure it out.

The desire to hook up and the desire for a relationship aren’t mutually exclusive. The world is full of happy relationships that started as a drunken hookup. Most men don’t really have a plan. We just see a woman we’re attracted to and figure it out on the fly.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/25 09:22 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/25 06:45 PM

I must have missed the part that says “I don’t care about looks. You just need to be nice”. Women care about looks dude. They also care about how you dress, your hygiene, your haircut, your shoes, your body type, your skin, your fitness, and - yes - your personality. Why do you guys find this so hard to grasp?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/25 06:44 PM

You're splitting hairs. If you're determined to see everything that goes your way as a "reward", sure. Have at it. Your child laughing is your reward for pulling a funny face. Your dad saying thanks and cracking you a beer is your reward for fixing his plumbing. Or you could just be normal about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/25 10:30 AM

Because none of these cunts give a shit about men's mental health. If they did, they'd be involved in initiatives to support it. They just want to justify their own miserable, selfish attitudes and to have a convenient stick to beat women with.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/25 09:01 AM
12

Cause it isn't. Nothing grosser than some woman holding forth on giving her husband a gobbie for doing the dishes or whatever. Disgusting. Can we just fuck because it's nice and makes you feel closer to each other? Does it really need to have a transactional element?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/25 08:57 AM

If terp was "women are people", I'd be on board. But it's a whole bunch of magical thinking bullshit. Terps are the ones putting women on a pedestal - thinking that the have a plan. No dude. They're winging it. Stop being weird about this stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 10:24 AM

Sometimes, yeah. But there's just not enough narcissists in the world. We get it. Your ex was a dick. Just say that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 10:21 AM

You think men in their early 20s are “obsessed with youth”? I mean - they wanna date women their own age, so I guess if you squint…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/25 11:58 AM

More than “a few”. The place is lousy with us. Frankly, the script of getting out there and “finding yourself” is largely bullshit, imo. You “find yourself” best when someone is watching your back, and you do your best work in service to those you love. The idea of finding someone “finished” you can just add to your life at your convenience is consumerism brought to its logical conclusion.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/25 11:56 AM

You terp MFs really need to stop believing that women are weird sexy semi-omnipotent aliens, and start recognising that they’re the same dumb fucks we are.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/25 11:37 AM

“Approach dating like some sort of paranoid crackhead. It’s the recipe for success.” Bruh. I’m in my mid-40. When I look around at everyone I know around my age who’s really nailed life, there’s a common denominator. They met a person they gelled with by the time they were in their mid-20s, and built something together. The ones who “self explored” mostly got trapped in a cycle of unsatisfying short-term relationships while looking for greener pastures.

I’m sure the men in the trenches of ww1 thought the same. Fucken spare me. Don’t totemise that blighted generation as the ideal of masculinity. If you cracked a book about the pre-war period, you’d have seen that the older generation were convinced that the men of 1914 were too weak and effete to possibly fight a war - they were all into romantic poetry, playing cards and fancy clothes. We men are the agents of our own liberation. We just need to get past this idea of the girls momming us out of…

I’m a pretty traditionally masculine guy. It’s where I’m comfortable. And it’s what I conform to most of the time. But fuck gender norms. Fuck gender norms with a rusty screwdriver. Don’t tell me I can’t be a nurturer or a carer. Don’t tell me I can’t let my missus take the lead when it suits. Don’t tell me I can’t enjoy the frivolous or pretty. Don’t tell me there’s no value to me but what I provide. Don’t tell me I can never be the one to receive. Masculinity is a prison.

How many times have you been “spat on”, vs had people unable to deal with your deluge of unprocessed emotional vomiting? There’s a big fucken difference. Men are raised emotionally dyslexic. We don’t have words to describe our feelings. We act out because we have no voice to speak our need. So, either we do the work to learn the words (difficult), we expect others to interpret our blather and temper tantrums (unfair), or we deny our emotions (dumb and self-destructive).

Uh…yeah dude. That’s how the welfare state works. We’ve been doing it in my country for decades now. Surprisingly, there’s not an overwhelming flood of little bastard children leeching off the government teat as a result. Your kids shouldn’t starve because you’re a feckless scumbag. That’s a pretty basic moral position, IMO. I know you dudes are super horny to see kids leave miserable lives to punish the supposed sexual misdeeds of their mothers. It’s really cool.

Men have genuine problems that tend to get ignored or run down as whining; but not being allowed to be "masculine" isn't one of them. Very little of what we consider as traditionally "masculine" is defined as much except "not feminine"; because being a girl is the worst thing you can be. So much of what we suffer from as men stems from our enculturated unwillingness to be seen as dependent on others or to seek help. It inevitably leads down dark paths. What pisses me off most of all is that the …

I think the whole body count discourse is pretty dumb, and has just polarised is stupid ways. There’s this terp view that dicks ruin women, which is the kind of magical thinking that I mentioned. Equally, there’s a view that body count should never matter; when it absolutely can. I’m mid-40s. If (God forbid) I found myself single again, I doubt I’d pay any attention to a woman’s body count. You’ve made up these two mutually exclusive scenarios where a woman might seem interested in you. One - you’re a Chad that every woman is uncontrollably horny over and will immediately lose her knickers around. Two - she’s not attracted to you, but you have something she wants, so she’ll tolerate your presence for a time. Obviously, you’re not a Chad, so it’s no.2. While you’re “building value”, a dude just like you out there is gonna be talking to girls, dating and experiencing the joy and heartbreak that goes with love and romance. Not one of the “boy” hobbies I mentioned require effort. For the most part they require the opposite. If a chick’s sole interest is passively scrolling Instagram; then yeah. Boring. But just because you don’t deign something to be a hobby doesn’t make it so. I know a chick who’s a massive thrifter. She spends hours in junk shops and charity joints sifting through bins and racks composing outfits and mining for gold. By sheer dint of partner numbers, you’re more likely to have drama in poly relationships. That’s not the main reason though. Every poly person I know is some combo of avoidantly attached, borderline and autistic. This doesn’t make them bad people, but it also doesn’t make a low-conflict personality. If you wanna be poly - do you. But don’t try to tell me it’s “more evolved” or whatever.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/25 08:48 AM

In some cases, yeah probably. But for the overwhelming majority, it’s women trying to avoid cheats, players and abusers. Do you honestly think every chick who downloaded Tea was thinking “Sick. Now I get to slander random men for absolutely no reason”? Anyway - I thought it was only Chads that were on the app. You’re not a Chad, so you’re safe. Why are you worried?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 11:51 PM

In my experience, there’s no such thing as “drama-free poly people”. I know a bunch of poly folks, and their love lives are constant turmoil. And it seems like 90% of the stuff you read about being poly is “how to quiet the voice in your head saying that something is terribly wrong”.

I don’t deny it. The data says what though? Girls swipe more on hot men? You terps act like this is some kind of mind-blowing hidden secret that’s been denied to the sheeple. You were just saying that men are approaching women “regardless of their personalities”. Pick a lane.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/25 01:14 PM
8

How do you know what a woman’s personality is before approaching her? Its why you’re approaching her dude
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/25 12:47 PM
2

Have definitely not been that guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 09:01 AM

How is it that I have lived on this earth for over 40 years, regularly hang out with rowdy boys covered in tattoos and have never once felt the urge to yell slurs at any of them? Am I doing this wrong or something?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 09:01 AM
0

Because “gamers” are asocial zombies. Women can see the difference between a guy who likes to chill out playing Zelda for a couple of hours a week, vs the guy who’ll scream slurs over voice chat on CoD or play WoW till he pisses himself.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 07:43 PM

Hope you never look at another woman as anything but a blank-faced mannequin then; or youre cheating on your girl, you philandering dirtbag, you. Some of you boys really need to get over yourselves.

Butthurt misogyny, for the most part.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/25 11:26 AM
3

Again - what is it with you people and the cuckolding shit? You realise there’s a difference between my missus watching sexy Netflix shows or me feeling toey after being around all the sheilas in bikinis down the beach; and reenacting some of the more sordid corners of pornhub, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/25 11:23 AM
3

No - you’re being comically insecure. The only acceptable place for your partner to get sexual energy from is you? Sounds like a fucken nightmare.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/25 08:21 AM
9

The way you blokes immediately dive for elaborate cuckolding fantasies the second someone suggests a woman might have a libido needs to be studied.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 07:46 PM
8

I usually lead my missus to the pub and buy her a beer. She seems quite happy about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 11:19 AM
1

What makes it degenerate? That seems awfully judgy to me. People have sex for all kinds of reasons. It’s not some sacrament.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 09:38 PM
12

If my missus goes out and gets all hornt up, I only stand to benefit.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 05:39 PM
1

Why is wanting sex degenerate? I rather like having sex. It makes me feel closer to my partner. I’m not taking anything from her. I’m not soiling her somehow. Even the women I’ve had ONSs with I remember fondly. If I’m seeing a woman, presumably I’m physically attracted to her; and I’m old enough that I don’t have time to be hanging out with people whose company I don’t enjoy. If a woman I was seeing was incredibly reticent about sex, I’d assume she either wasn’t attracted to me, or didn’t like …
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 05:15 PM

Cars are like muscles. Women notice them, just not always in the way you’d like or expect them to.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 04:58 PM

Curious as to where you’re finding 30-50 year old guys willing to wait “at least a year” for sex. Like - decent, monogamous, marriage-minded guys are gonna have some questions there, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 04:55 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 11:13 AM

The women have spoken. And they are begging the boys to be normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 07:30 AM
10

I’m honestly not that pressed about my masculinity. I’m far more concerned about being a good and useful person. All this navel-gazing about masculinity is a distraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 01:01 AM
7

Sure. But plenty of women will cheerfully forgo wealth in the face of other virtues. And let’s not pretend wealth exists in a vacuum. As a great philosopher once said, “Mo money, mo’ problems”.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 04:30 PM
24

Mate if you have to bend yourself into a pretzel to be “compatible”, that’s not compatibility. That doesn’t make it an all-or-nothing proposition. One of the better parts of a good relationship is the fact that it makes you strive to be a better person.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 11:16 PM
37

Yup. Pretty women are a dime a dozen. Genuine compatibility is rare and precious.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 10:28 PM
1

It has happened, it was just extraordinarily rare. I’ve had to do all the work if I ever wanted to hit on a woman. Ive been bluntly propositioned once. I was so shocked I nearly dropped my drink.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 10:03 PM
1

Yes? What’s your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 07:55 PM

You’re feeling cucked because she hasn’t had a boyfriend before? Dude, hookups are easy if you’re an even slightly attractive woman. It’s getting a boyfriend who’s worth a pinch of shit that’s hard. Ask any single girl.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 07:11 PM
37

Don’t come bitching to me when you realise your girlfriend with “high standards” also has zero libido.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 06:55 PM
32

You feel cucked by a 24 year old woman who’s had a grand total of two (2) hookups? This isn’t a preference dude. This is something you need to get past.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 06:51 PM

Almost like it should be a discussion had between a person and their medical practitioner; rather than legislated by a crowd of Pearl-clutching church moms certain that Big Trans is coming for their kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 02:14 AM
0

What? Like asking to not be constantly fucked with? To not be deliberately put in dangerous situations? The chuds will hoot about edge cases where trans women attacked bio women, while conveniently ignoring the bio men who victimise women at significantly higher rates.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 12:40 AM
1

I have no idea what the point is here. It meanders from trans people to bisexual erasure to…uh…I dunno? Trans people are the right’s punching bag of choice right now, and that fucken sucks. The trans folks I know just wanna be left alone and not treated like shit. I don’t feel like that’s much to ask.

It’s legal. I’ll still judge you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 04:01 AM

Yeah. I’m Australian and in my mid-40s. Around half of my cohort are cut, but the practice dropped off precipitously afterwards. I think the only circumcisions done now are for religious reasons or to treat phimosis.

There are tons of article about Neet men , men who have tone thier own way and so on with some women asking benefits to them be removed and so on. 9

The fuck you paying rent and feeding a family on 50k? Hope your car never breaks down and the kids don’t get sick. It’s sure as shit not happening where I live. Grinding poverty will fuck any relationship. It’s got nothing to do with shallow bitches demanding everything be Insta-ready.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 03:17 AM
16

Look dude, if you want a series of shallow, emotionally unsatisfying situationships with women you can’t care about enough to be honest with, be my guest; but it’s gonna stop being fun sooner rather than later. Much as you terps like to pretend you’re an emotional island, I promise that you’re not; and you’re dipping out on the finest things in life because you’re scared of emotional risk. I pity you guys sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 02:56 AM

There’s the secret third option of marrying a lady with a job and working on your relationship; but you terps aren’t ready to hear about that.

If I had ever been in this situation, you could not waterboard it out of me 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 02:19 AM
10

Pretty sure most of em can’t imagine a world where they might have to bring anything more than provision to a relationship. So they need to be damn sure they’re the only one doing it - or at very least most of it. The alternative of having to contribute anything else is too horrifying to contemplate.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 02:17 AM
3

Mate - I promise you that the overwhelming majority of chicks wouldn’t give me the time of day back when I was single. I got “Ew. No.” More than once.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 02:03 AM
8

Bro - talk to any woman and she’ll have multiple stories about creepy guys hitting on her in inappropriate situations. As for talking to people in bars - most wont wanna chat. Thats fine. It’s not an indictment of your personal worth - they’re just not up for a chat. Meeting women IRL isn’t a magical bonanza of pussy either. There’s no “one simple trick” to this shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 01:53 AM
13

Bro - you can 100% go talk to a girl in a bar. It’s fine. I do it all the time. You’re just having a little chat in a social environment and seeing if there’s any kind of vibe. What you can’t do is demand she take out her earbuds on the bus so you can awkwardly spit game. Or corner her in a Carpark. Or flag her down on the street. This isn’t fucken rocket surgery.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 01:40 AM
12

Mate - it’s hard out there. It’s always been hard out there. The only guys who’ve ever been spoiled for choice are the unusually good looking and/or charming. The major difference is we can howl into the throng of similarly bereft dudes thanks to social media - not just our friends. I’m not trying to trivialise the struggles of the average guy. It’s brutal. Dating is mostly draining, boring and humiliating. I remember. It was awful. But so many guys are putting huge amounts of effort into things…

So complementing other aspects of my appearance (or other things, for that matter) is fine, but saying my biceps look good is over the line? Riiiight.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 01:17 AM

I dunno - women seem more than happy to compliment my clothes or beard. I’m not saying being in shape hurts - but there’s a rapidly diminishing return past “not fat”.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 12:58 AM
7

Women give waaaay less of a shit about muscles than you do bro. I promise. Not one woman I wasn’t fucking ever commented on my physique, and not one has ever given the slightest shit what I bench or what my half-marathon PB is. I’ve had plenty of admiration from men though.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 12:38 AM

Dude - having some emotional literacy doesn’t mean turning into a blubbering wreck every time you have feelings. If anything it’s the fucking opposite of that. A little self-knowledge of why you are sad - or even if what you’re actually experiencing is sadness - goes a long fucking way to being a better person to be around. It just means the negative emotions you experience - anger, fear, shame, frustration, hopelessness - are understandable. It’s a fuckload easier to deal with a problem you hav…

Go to the gym all you like bro. I’ve done it for 30 years. It’s fine. It’s waaaay easier than developing an endearing personality or likeable traits.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 12:26 AM
5

That, but also having the emotional vocabulary to understand our own feelings. Men are largely socialised in an emotionally barren landscape. There’s a very strong tendency for the only acceptable emotions to be “happy” and “angry”. All emotions get lumped into those two baskets. We’re trying to describe colours when we’ve only ever seen monochrome. I loved Bill Burrs latest special for its meditation on this. It’s an extended piece on developing self-knowledge too late.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 12:23 AM

why are so many men more interested in proving he’s fiction than becoming someone like him. Oof. Funny how so many guys can only view self-improvement through the lens of making money or going to the gym.

I’ve had situations where I’ve made out with or fooled around with a woman I was interested in while drunk. Then she sobered up and didn’t want to know me. Didn’t feel great.

That's not patronising. Patronising is you (a woman) telling me (a man) what men actually think and feel. Like it or not, I have insights into the male experience that you definitionally can't have. Doesn't it piss you off when you see men telling women that their lived experience is wrong and that's not what they're actually thinking. Well - you're doing that right now.

Redpill is mostly elaborate pathologising of women’s behaviour when it doesn’t immediately suit the needs of whatever sad little dudebro is mouthing off. The AF/BB thing is mostly insecurity about your girlfriend having encountered another guy’s dick, or if she’s had a better-looking or better paid partner in the past. Either that or it’s an elaborate story constructed around their shocked realisation that good-looking, charismatic guys get more attention from women. The “hitting the wall” thing…

More like I had a good and supportive padre providing effective pastoral care, if you wanna use a religious metaphor. When you’re in the depths of a depressive episode, you’re in no fit state to advocate for yourself. The support of a professional can quite literally be a lifeline. Therapy isn’t a panacea, but in no way should its value be underestimated. It’s still the most effective mental health intervention we have.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 11:20 PM
3

As I said - I’m an advocate for therapy. It helped me identify the areas of my life that were tripping me up and to develop a plan of action to deal with them. Literally saved my life. But that was a couple of months worth. There are people dealing with severe trauma who benefit from ongoing therapy; but in many cases I feel like it’s just people feeding their neuroses.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 08:56 PM

What’s your well thought-out program of mental health support for men champ? Preferably one that doesn’t use women as fodder. And if you say “go to the gym” I will laugh at you.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 08:14 PM

TBH, the biggest advocates for therapy are often the worst advertising for its benefits. If you’ve done years of therapy and you’re still neurotic and insufferable, I don’t think it’s working. I say this as a big advocate for the benefits of therapy.

Sure. Wanting a dude to pay for your glass of Pinot gris is totally the same as rape. Virtually indistinguishable. Mate - we’d all like the world to be fair and for people’s ideologies to be consistent; but it isn’t and they’re not. You can spend your life fuming about the fact that you’ll have to pay for a gal’s appetiser if you wanna meet up; but it’s a pretty fucken mild indignity compared to a vast array of others we men face every day. Damn - we know different women. I always found a little sprinkle of realness was way more intriguing than trying to put on a facade of unflappable cool (which inevitably cracks).
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 06:52 PM

Dunno how to break it to ya dog, but these women have likely already decided whether or not you’re attractive to them personally. As far as their actual image of you - showing a tiny bit of vulnerability and authenticity is vastly more attractive than sitting there dumbly nodding. Anyway - why do you want to “win” the “argument”? You’re just presenting your side of the story. What’s more real: “Oh yeah. It’s totally tough having a heap of thirsty chicks gagging for you. I - as an unstoppable pus…

Wat? If men did more therapy, they’d use pills instead of sticking a gun in their mouth? I guess that’s a win if you squint real hard…

You’re afraid to push back when women express opinions you disagree with? Why? You can disagree with someone with having to own them with facts as logic in the marketplace of ideas mate. Or were you afraid you couldn’t push back without your bile and resentment bubbling to the surface and going on a full green text rant?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 11:59 AM

Pity women attempt suicide at similar rates to men. Dudes just use more lethal methods. “Just go to therapy” is reductive gibberish.

I’m aware of the history. The very first wave of people in feminist-adjacent circles who started talking about the role of men in the movement were progressive (though I’d hesitate to call them left-wing). The mythopoetic men’s movement, beyond all the hippy bullshit actually made strides in acknowledging men as whole emotional beings. And you’re misrepresenting Crow and (to a degree) Pizzey as “men’s rights activists”. Crow was stridently feminist; and Pizzey - while persona non grata for being…

MRAs (who were traditionally leftwing) have shifted to the right over the last decade. Wat? “Men’s Rights Activism” is, and always has been, about as reactionary as it gets. MRA shit is inherently conservative. It demands a return to historical norms of male domination. If you bring up men's issues and challenge the bullshit "male privilege" narrative in conservative spaces you at least won't be completely shit on like in leftist places. Strangely enough, conservative spaces have an ideological …

You’ll find remarkably few blokes trying to date while unemployed. All the guys I know realise that having some kind of employment is a threshold issue for women.

The issue is less that it’s hard (and it is…), but more that SAHMs contributions are devalued by their own partners, who don’t contribute around the house.

Poor emotional regulation and limited emotional intelligence. A lot of guys get brought up in an environment where “happy” and “angry” are the only two permissible emotions, so all others get lumped into one of those two buckets. That said - if you’ve dated 5 guys with this issue, I feel like it’s you who’d benefit from therapy as much as they would.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 05:24 AM

Your assuming where Im born and raised. Come to the ghetto where I like to hang at to see if your really about that life. I know you won't. Probably never seen dead bodies or see young boys who will kill on site. You never been in street fight or let alone been jump. Making a few assumptions there yourself champ. But sure, whatever. You’re holding the bridge like Horatius against the hordes. You’re a big tough special boy. You still gotta do the dishes.

lol. The Ukrainian dudes protecting their homes aren’t in high dudgeon about why the chicks aren’t in the dugout with them mate. It’s the sad little suburban goobers who’ve never experienced a threat greater than burning their mouths on the tendies that mom brought them that are up in arms about it. Horny as you might be for your hero fantasies coming true someday where you get to airhole a home intruder with your department store glock while some bikini babe clutches your leg, 80s exploitation …

Yes. I’ve been with my missus for over 20 years. I’m no oil painting, but sheer probability means I’ve been awkwardly hit on by a drunk chick in that period.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/25 09:38 AM

And you goobs seem to think that there’s a global conspiracy of women to make you miserable for…reasons? I don’t buy for a second that your friend made some perfectly innocent pass at a girl, and she’s decided to go out of her way to track down his workplace and report him? I’ll lay money on the barrelhead he’s said something fucken creepy and it’s blown up in his face.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/25 08:53 AM

Dude - you won’t be made a pariah for saying hi to a chick in a bar. Some of you boys catastrophise about this stuff.

Just watched the vid. If I had thought I’d just been on a nice date with a woman, and she pulled that on me at the end of it, I would walk into the ocean. What the actual fuck? Is my judgement that awful? Isn’t dating about deciding if you like one another? I mean - I made my missus a mixtape when we were first dating, and I saw a book by an author she mentioned and grabbed her that; but I think she would have found it weird if I’d got her anything more extravagant.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/25 05:04 PM

If I had a solution I'd be in parliament. I'm a fan of meeting men where they are; but we can't just sit there with our arms folded till the conditions are perfect. Like I said - we fight with the army we've got. Even help that's not perfect is still help. The union-supplied beads-and-cheesecloth therapist who helped me out of a deeply low period of my life certainly wouldn't have been my choice in an ideal world - but I'm still very grateful for the help she gave me. And I think it's a cop-out …

/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 10:58 AM

That may be true - but we’re struggling to get blokes to go to uni, let alone study counselling or psychotherapy. I’d like there to be a crew of hard-knuckled, no-nonsense geezers out there dispensing useful guidance to struggling men; but we fight with the army we have, not the one we want.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 05:20 AM
9

Bullshit. Find me a woman saying men are weak for getting therapy or counselling, or spouting myths about how they “don’t work for men”. That seeking the help of peers and friends when struggling is bad, actually. I am a mental health advocate in my industry. Therapy and support literally saved my life and the lives of men I care about. When women ask questions about mens mental health, I find they’re incredibly enthusiastic when I talk about my experience and advocacy. What they dont fucken app…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 01:27 AM
6

Some people are deliberate, mendacious liars - yes. But you can also express an earnest desire to form a relationship on a dating app and mean it, but meander along in a not-quite-relationship with someone they’re not super excited about for a long time if no one has the stones to define it. People make sub-optimal choices because they’re lazy all the fucken time. You might like men to be divided into good and bad, but it’s just not that simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 11:53 PM
6

It’s up to you to advocate for yourself. If exclusivity isn’t discussed, you don’t get to be pissy because you’ve made a covert contract with a dude who fails to live up to it. Put on your big girl pants and define the relationship. If he’s mealy-mouthed about it, you got your answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 11:32 PM
7

People date for relationships. They also date for sex, companionship or company without exclusivity. Don’t be naive, don’t make assumptions, and speak your mind. Act like an adult.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 11:26 PM
8

Yep. Hell of a lot of guys deride mental health interventions that actually work as gay till women are discussing their own issues then it’s “whaaaat about the men?”

/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 11:14 PM
10

If you’re leading all the time in a relationship, you’re either domineering, or your partner is fucking useless. Neither is good. If you want to lead at a given point, it’s either from a perspective of personal competence (e.g - I’m a tradesman, so I’ll lead in matters of home maintenance and improvement), personal enthusiasm (e.g - my missus loves planning holidays, so we tend to vacation where she wants to go), or because someone has to (e.g - I hate grocery shopping, but I do most of the cook…

Dude - no one is loved unconditionally And WTF is this condescending, concern-trolling bullshit about “I understand women’s concerns, but it’s impossible for them to understand mine” This “woe is me” shit is so fucken laughable coming from people who are convinced that it’s in mens nature to be all strong and stoic. You talk out both sides of your mouth. It’s pathetic.

This is a painfully wordy way of saying "The girls should be tolerant of men running around and shagging everything in a skirt because it's our manly nature and therefore good, actually". Dude - we make compromises in relationships ostensibly because the trade off is worth it. It has been worth it for me. If you don't think it's worth it for you, no-one is holding a gun to your head. Christ some of you guys find the most logically torturous ways to justify acting like a flog.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 08:02 AM

I dunno dude. Why do women starve themselves? We all want to be seen. We all want to be admired. Our bodies feel like something we can have absolute control over in a chaotic world.

There is more on a spectre between a "loser" and ceo of google mate. That was kinda my point. You don’t need to be some relentlessly self-improving weirdo to meet chicks. And why are the teachers catching strays? That’s a worthy job. And there seems to be women who agree. Why try to date women who don’t?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 11:44 AM

For “Marxist”, these clowns might as well say “Babadook”. It’s the same vibe in their heads.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 11:35 AM

The overwhelming majority of women don’t need you to be the CEO of google mate. The world is lousy with normal guys with normal jobs in normal relationships. You terps seem convinced that you need to be sitting on a vast stock portfolio and a garage full of prestige cars before a woman will look askance at you.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 11:29 AM

lol. It’s always a matter of time till one of you terps crawls out from under your rock and accuses me of white knighting for not blaming every evil in the world on women refusing to kiss my arse.

Smoking weed and playing video games is fun for a little while. Then your friends get jobs and girlfriends and you’re stuck being a loser. This is how you end up being one of the 19% of men with no close friends. There’s a more fulfilling life to be had engaging with the world rather than resenting it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 11:09 AM

You guys have such a cargo cult mentality about this shit. Like I said - go ahead and be a dick to people. Really lean into being the worst possible version of yourself. Embrace being a total sociopath. See how it goes.

You guys never fail to take the wrong lesson about the “nice” thing. You should be nice. Girls like it when you’re nice to them. But nice isn’t a personality. Nor is it currency. Try being the worst, most selfish version of yourself. See how that goes.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 01:45 AM

For real - I’ve heard the words “she cheated on me” and “we’re still friends” in the same sentence more than a couple times. You gals are wild sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 01:17 AM
3

Your literally a women. How would you know? You're going after her for not understanding the male POV because she's a woman. Well - I'm a man, and I don't think terps are as enlightened as they think they are either.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 01:07 AM
5

Given that every member of the purple sisterhood I know is friends with their exes so they don't alienate half their community and potential future partners, I feel like you gals can't afford to be too choosy. I'm not giving you shit here - there just aren't that many potential partners out there, so you gals just seem to be more willing to lot of stuff slide.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 12:11 AM

What's sadder is that they look at this (blindingly obvious) fact, and it breaks their brains.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 12:05 AM

I'll speak for men. Sure - we get some very simple bullshit pushed out way while we're very young; but if you can't work that shit out for yourself in your teens, you probably still believe in Santa Claus.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 11:39 PM
2

Well a very common example with men - the lie - that it's enough just to be nice, that you care about the woman and that you'll do anything for her For real dude - feminists have been saying this longer than I've been alive (and that's a fucken long time now); and terps had to go and start an ideological movement so they could pretend this little nugget was some profound truth that they invented with lOgIc AnD ReaSoN.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 11:36 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 08:53 AM

Dude - I'm not ambitious. Career success has never been a big driver for me. I just want a job. And I'm flattered that you think my dick is so magical that it overcame my financial shortcomings.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 07:08 AM

Because some of you skull-shape measuring blackpill MFs just need to get out of your own way.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 07:04 AM

Or maybe she just likes you. She'd probably lose patience pretty quickly if you turned into a mooch, but I wouldn't overthink the "investing" part. This isn't a transaction. You should really want to "get better and move up" for yourself as much as anybody else. Life is easier with a better job and a few more bucks in the bank.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 05:02 AM

Dude - you're going into studying full time, you're doing your share of chores and she invited you to live with her. You're not some broke-dick shithead mooching off her. You're golden. Just don't take her for granted and keep it up. I hope it works out for you both.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 03:12 AM

Lol. Meanwhile, back in reality, me and half my male friends have partners that out-earn them. My missus and I have been together for more than 20 years and she has always outearned me. Apparently she's going to monkey-branch out. Aaaany minute now. Yessiree.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 03:06 AM

You dudes sure are certain you know what women want (because obviously they're not really people with individual tastes - just fem-bots being driven around by unvarying biological urges).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 02:57 AM

I think you're drastically overestimating the "success" of average women on dating apps mate. They get plenty of matches for sure - certainly when compared to most guys. But ask any gal how many dates she goes on (let alone moves to a second or subsequent date) compared to how much ghosting, flakiness, low-effort bullshit, creepiness, over-sexual advances and dick pic-ery she has to put up with, and it starts looking less rosy. The average chick isn't reclining upon a chaise lounge, imperiously …
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 12:53 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 01:20 AM

Wh…what does that have to do with anything?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 01:15 AM

We’re having a red hot go at making it worse right now mate.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 04:01 AM

“Post modernist Marxist” Marx would be upset if you called him post modernist. And the post modernists drove the marxists out of the academie. Stop listening to Jorpo. He’s a deeply unserious man.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 04:00 AM

Interesting take. I coldly severed my job from my passion when I went into plumbing. I do it because I’m good at it, it pays reasonably well and I think it makes me a useful member of society. But passion? Nah. And can’t say I know any passionate plumbers. My first career as a chef? I was incredibly passionate, and very good. But it buries the rest of your life. So I moved into project management for the money. I was competent. But I hated the abstract, alienated nature of the work. It drove me …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 03:26 AM

Late capitalism is just the part where the contradictions can’t really be hand-waved away anymore. A casual glance outside will reveal that things aren’t looking exactly utopian right now. And Marx didn’t get everything right; but he was a keen observer of capitalism and provided what is still the most cogent critique of the system as a whole.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 01:40 AM

I mean…if you’re aware of a way to make that happen, I’m totally in.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 01:35 AM

People here are missing the forest for the trees. Late capitalism has made us so hopelessly alienated from each other and the products of our labour that the human soul recoils in horror. I think men feel this more acutely for a number of reasons; but these are primarily: A drive to be useful to those around them. Hegemonic masculinity punishes us for seeking emotional closeness with anyone but a romantic partner. We live in a time where work utterly alienates us from anything but pushing empty …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 01:30 AM

Okay. Glib as it might be, money ain’t everything. Why chase pay doing something that makes you miserable? I’ve done white collar work - it nearly made me step off a bridge. If there’s any commonality to “men” as a whole, I feel like it’s a drive to feel useful. For many, doing a job with a practical and concrete goal is a shortcut to that end.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 01:15 AM

Dudes here acting like a dude being good-looking never mattered before 🤦‍♂️ What has changed is social media bringing body dysmorphia for men into line with women. Fucken bravo.

Soooo…yes? Dude - one person being less committed to a relationship than the other is nothing new; no matter how much some of you dudes act that way. Are you saying that women are purposefully seeking out men who are kinda lukewarm on them?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 12:23 AM
16

I’ll add the stuff I’ve said a hundred times. Any of you who think that good-looking, socially adroit men ever didn’t get the lions share of women’s attention are seriously deluded. Also - the overwhelming majority of sex is happening in monogamous relationships. Hookups are a rounding error.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 12:20 AM

According to what? The terp brainrot that’s melted your faculties?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 12:17 AM

Not a dangerous job. I mean - it’s dangerous for you when he comes home and slaps you around because dinner isn’t ready
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 10:42 PM

Dude - I work in construction. I am an order of magnitude more likely to be killed at work than a pig. Yet strangely, there’s no broad anxiety about my well-being. There’s no Punisher/thin hi-vis line for tradies. Cops are out there shitting their pants and demanding hero worship for what is, at the end of the day, a pretty risk-free existence. Cry-bullies one and all.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 10:40 PM

Why would any leftist want to date a bigot?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 10:33 PM

Terps are forever drawing the bars of their own prisons.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 10:49 AM

My statement on not feeling you need to compete with a partner got you to…kink, somehow. Watch less porn bro.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 10:48 AM

I dunno man. Feels like there's enough room in "the game" for both of us. It's only a competition if you want to make it one.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 10:13 AM

Dude - why are you so afraid you're gonna get beat by a girl?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 09:15 AM

It's the vibe. He feels like there's a bunch of women out there silently judging him.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 09:14 AM

I mean, it's awful that that the woman you made up in your head is out there personally victimising you and all, but I guess it's just your cross to bear mate.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 09:12 AM
6

Why do you dudes keep inventing women to be mad at? Or are you just trying to date women who don't like you?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 11:25 AM

I think OP has also failed to take into account the possibility that she doesn't think you and any of her friends would be a good match. I would definitely introduce single friends to each other if I thought they'd hit it off, but I'm not going out of my way if I think they'd be a disaster together. Like - my wife's button down friends from her law firm probably won't jive with some of the semi-employed crust punks I'm mates with...
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 11:13 AM

Not even a matter of being assaulted (though it's horrifically high for nurses) - the work can be incredibly physical. There's shitloads of nurses out there with fucked backs, blown out knees and torn rotator cuffs from work.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 10:39 AM

I've never expected my women friends to be wingwomen - but I sure did get "Hey - have you met Sarah?" at parties bunch of times...
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 10:36 AM

lol. Police and firefighters aren’t even in the race mate. Delivering pizza is significantly riskier than being a pig. Have a squizz It’s people in construction and agriculture who are top of the list; but care and support workers aren’t far behind in terms of claims for serious injury. Men are significantly more likely to be killed; but women aren’t far behind in terms of serious injury.

Ever heard of nurses? It’s not just tradesmen mate. I could never tolerate the shit the average ward nurse puts up with.

I do so love it when these soft-handed boys turn up in high dudgeon about our “dirty, dangerous jobs” and how women would never and so on. I like my dirty, dangerous job; and I’ve worked with a number of very competent women in the same trade.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 02:22 AM

Yep. You talk to men and women who aren’t chronically online, and they tend to get on fine for the most part.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 04:05 PM

If that’s where it ended, you’d have a point.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 04:04 PM

In most cases I’m not sure it’s that they baulk at doing “girl stuff”, it’s that they literally don’t know how to do it, and they hate to feel stupid. A little patience, and someone to show them what to do without making it a “thing”, and they’ll muck right in. My dad has a story about medical orderlies in the Vietnam war, whose job it was to prep battle casualties for the surgical wards when they arrived in the helicopters. Their sole job was to stretcher the men from the choppers to the triage…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 04:02 PM

lol. You’re not alone. I love my missus with all my heart; but she’s a fucken pain in the arse when she’s hangry. EAT THE FUCKEN SNACK AND STOP YELLING WOMAN!
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 12:02 PM

Just pay boys. If the date is good, you’ll be happy to. If the date is bad, you can walk away with your head up. If you get the feeling she was there for a free meal, it’s a cheap price to learn a lesson.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 11:55 AM
2

You don’t need to take a gal out to dinner at a three star joint mate. Just show her you give a shit. And - for the love of all that’s holy - stop basing your opinions on TikToks designed to make you mad at girls.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 11:46 AM
3

“Running game” is mostly just using canned lines because you’re too nervous and awkward to have a normal conversation with a woman. It’s training wheels. That’s fine. When you first start hitting on girls, it’s really fucken nerve-wracking. Doing manipulative PUA shit isn’t coercion, it’s just being a fuckhead who can’t back himself to land a woman without engaging in some creepy bullshit. It’s honestly selling yourself short.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/25 04:13 AM
1

To my mind, there’s not a big difference between nice and kind. If you’re talking about nice as being a cloying little pushover, then yeah - that’s not really desirable. If you’re talking about going out of your way to help someone who could use a hand, or just doing something to improve someone’s day a little, to me that’s nice or kind; take your pick.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 08:55 PM

That wasn’t sarcasm.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 12:03 PM

Omfg. The better part of confidence is being able to take an L without shitting your pants and giving up. You will get shot down. Hard. You need to dust yourself off and have another go. Every hit is information, not an indictment of your worth as a person.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 11:27 AM

The problem for men is mostly balancing enthusiasm and humility. What’s the old saw? Too soon old, too late wise.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 11:22 AM

Under socialism, all the women will be smokeshows. Come, comrade - we have hot babes with big tiddies
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 11:15 AM

It’s easy for women to be hot. They just have to be hot 🤦‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 11:12 AM

For whatever it’s worth, you get more lads by offering them a place to be and something useful to do. Young men are begging to be useful and wanted. From my experience in organising, if you give a fella something to do and the slightest evidence it’ll make someone happy, you’ll just about have to restrain their enthusiasm. I fucken love the manic energy and sheer fun of young men. That energy is going to manosphere creeps and fascists, and being curdled into cruelty and selfishness. It makes me …
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 10:56 AM

These guys are fighting a truly horrific level of cognitive dissonance. On one hand, they know you can’t force anyone to like you. On the other, they know they’re very good boys that deserve a treat. They square that circle by being mad at girls.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 10:14 AM
4

So let’s test the negative. Why shouldn’t you be nice? What does it cost you?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 10:01 AM

Dumb bitch says dumb thing. K.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 09:44 AM

It’s not a fucking casino mate. You can actually do things to improve your odds for a start. Like talking to girls, for instance.

You need to start talking sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 08:31 AM

When more than half of dudes under 25 have never approached a woman, I feel like there’s a mental element at play. Dudes are taking themselves out of the game before they hit the field.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 07:40 AM
3

I disagree. You should be nice. Nice is a very good thing to be. And women actually do like guys who are nice to them. But nice isn’t a personality, nor is it a currency.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 06:54 AM
4

(X) doubt
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 05:47 AM
5

To a degree that’s true - pretty privilege is a thing. But it’s not an immutable rule. But as an individual, being the shittiest version of yourself isn’t going to have gussets moistening. Like I said - there’s a cargo cult mentality to this shit. In my experience, being a good person is its own reward.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 04:44 AM
16

You guys make the observation that some toxic dudes get laid, and never fail to draw the wrong conclusions. You’ve got this cargo cult attitude to shitty behaviour. Try being the worst version of yourself and see how it goes. Be my guest.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 03:29 AM
6

That, but somehow dumber.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 02:01 AM
27

It’s not fear. It’s contempt. Men have legitimate issues. The world has changed and we have failed to adapt. We stick to old scripts that might have suited our ancestors, but fail us. We repress our capacity for love and kindness. We refuse to admit to the depth of our loss and longing. We harm ourselves and those around us at alarming rates. And the Terp solution to this is to double down on the shit that harms us. You cunts make me sick.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/25 01:34 AM
5

We’re not talking about getting laid here. Good people and bad people get laid all the time. We’re talking about mens’ conception of what a good man is - specifically as it pertains to dating women. And - from a male perspective - there’s a lot more verbiage about what a man shouldn’t do.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 11:00 PM
6

There’s 4 billion of us. Of course they exist. My point (as I made elsewhere) is that frequently, the conception we’re fed of what a good man is is based around what we don’t do, as the old certainties of what a good man is have been largely swept away - for better and for worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 10:29 PM

Terps do a lot of mythologising about their incredible knowledge of “reality” now that the veil has been lifted from their eyes. Then they spend 99% of their time whining that it’s sooo unfaiiiiiir.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 10:16 PM
5

Then where’s your problem? As I said - are you inventing guys to get mad at?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 08:51 PM

Nah. It’s mostly whining about the gurls being mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 08:50 PM
6

I mean…I could just edit it if that’d make you feel better.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 08:49 PM
3

Because I wrote it before my first coffee of the day.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 08:40 PM
11

Oh come on dude. If I described my friend as “moral, decent and kind”, you’d think I wanted to fuck him. Seriously though - it’s similar to when a guy asks the average woman for dating advice. “Be yourself. Be nice. Put yourself out there.” All true, but none of it helpful.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 08:38 PM
12

Are you inventing dudes to get mad at? Guys might give a list of things a good man is not because a lot of the instruction we’re given on how to be good is negative. “Don’t go there. Don’t be rude. Don’t be mean to your sister. Don’t touch that…” The “crisis of masculinity” (ugh) is mostly guys looking for ways to be useful and failing to see any.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 08:01 PM

Spot on. I’m inclined to think that a lot of dudes dating struggles are in their heads; but the girls have a case to answer too.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 07:53 PM

Owns a flash car. Never met a dude who owned a fancy auto who wasn’t a twat.

I applaud the bi women out there showing a little solidarity with the dating struggles of the average dude. God love you, ladies.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 07:47 PM

If dudes were giving up after being repeatedly shot down, that’d be true. But there was that recent stat that over half of young guys have never approached a woman. They’re taking themselves out of the game before they get on the field.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 07:38 PM
1

You’re mad about dudes asking dumb gender-essentialist questions, and your answer is to double down on gender identity essentialism You pinks and reds deserve each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 07:32 PM
2

Yeah - and he essentially claims that it’s morally correct for the master to oppress the slave. Strangely enough, I think that’s some dumb bullshit and destructive as hell. It’s the philosophy of the reptiles of wall st and Silicon Valley, attempting to justify their efforts to emiserate everyone, while they tell themselves that they are big smart ubermensch, and there’s no other way. Nietzsche is the philosopher of bullied nerds fantasising about how they’ll be revenged upon the pack of us.

Not necessarily a nice apartment; but a roof over your head. For real - I lived in some real dirtbag share houses as an apprentice, ate a lot of ramen and was a car breakdown away from disaster - but that’s because I was making sub-minimum wage. Now people with degrees and decent full-time jobs are living in those same dirtbag share houses. The social contract is breaking down.

Dude - read my whole comment. Anyone who’s receptive. Some dudes are just great at flirting; and I’ve found it isn’t the best-looking guys either (genuinely hot dudes don’t need to be able to flirt). I’ve got a mate who flirts with everyone, and says shit that’d get me slapped, and he’s just a regular-looking suburban dad. He just has an immaculate vibe that women love. Best I can do a little journeyman-like flirting with work clients or women I meet at gigs. I feel people out and gently ratchet…

Will to power can be interpreted so broadly that it’s essentially meaningless.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 12:41 AM
2

Sorta both. I’m inclined to think that imposed norms are worth challenging; but some are norms to stop the strong preying on the weak. And individualism doesn’t always lead to selfishness; but it’s got a horrible track record.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 12:40 AM

I like the embrace of perspectivism and the rejection of absolute truth; but the will to power and radical individualism stuff is just a philosophical cover for being a cunt.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 11:20 PM

Dude - flirting is just cheeky banter. You can flirt with anyone who’s receptive. Sometimes it’s even better if you’re obviously not attracted to each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 11:12 PM

I’m happily married, but I love to flirt. It’s just harmless fun. A bit of slightly cheeky banter back and forth improves everyone’s mood. It’s nice.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 10:42 PM

Yeah it’s real. But it’s a result of the perverse nature of modern dating. If a gal has options (and thanks to OLD, she absolutely does), you need to be the brightest, shiniest star in the sky. But that pace is hard to maintain. What - you would have gone to 3 months with that love bomb-y dude if he wasn’t putting on an all-singing, all-dancing romance spectacular and was just a regular Andy? Of course not.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 08:58 PM

And I’ll lay my last pay packet on the barrelhead that you won’t run into any of that 20% of socially maladroit freaks down the pub.

Oh please. Women aren’t out here waiting to scream “Rape!” like it’s Invasion of the Body Snatchers for looking at them funny. I swear tiktok ragebait has melted some of y’all’s brains.

Dude, a lot of women don’t want to have casual sex with anyone. Hell - the vast majority will do it once or twice and say “not for me”. Where do they fit in?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 03:04 AM
9

Dude - you’ve had your brain melted by TikTok. Women are having less casual sex now than any time since the 60s. Our average lifetime partner count sits somewhere between 6 and 10, depending on the source you use. Much as you think chicks are out sucking every Chad dick that wanders past it’s all in your head. Log off.

Men?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 12:06 AM

lol. Check the stats mate. We were having a lot more casual sex back in the 90s and early oughts. Average joes have always struggled romantically. I ought to know. I was there. It’s never been a barrel of laughs.

hookups DING DING DING You don’t actually want to date or have a girlfriend, do you. You’re just sore because you think everyone else is having more sex than you. The overwhelming majority of sex is not being had in hookups mate. And the overwhelming majority of women aren’t looking for hookups outside of short, discrete periods of their lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 11:55 PM

I’m not a millennial - I squeak into Gen X. There was no such thing as the internet till I was in high school and my missus and I could afford the mortgage on a two-bed townhouse in a decent part of town as a couple of mostly broke mid-20 somethings.

To a degree. I’m not saying the weird germ-free adolescence that some of these zoomers are seeking is a good thing; but making the blanket statement that we were somehow more “empowered” in our sexuality back in the day is glib. If anything, a synthesis of the two would be better.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 11:15 PM

You dudes are really determined to take yourselves out of the game without stepping on the field, aren’t you.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 11:12 PM

Well put. If we got shot down, we only had our IRL friends to commiserate. You’ve now got an unlimited pool of extremely online rejectees as well. And I hope big booby Jessica is doing well, wherever she is.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 11:08 PM

I promise that’s not a new development mate. Good looking, charming men have always been the ones getting the lions share of women’s attention.

They’re also having sex with non-Chads. Your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 10:34 PM

We’re gonna have a generation of women who think that being sexually empowered is reading erotica and having a vibrator. It’s pathetic For some, it is mate. Choosing to not have sex is still a choice. Let’s face it: the Girls Gone Wild era - for all it’s talk of empowerment - wasn’t empowering for anyone but creeps pushing videos of said girls going wild.

The major differences were that we didn’t have lives online and we could afford rent. Pretty big differences, admittedly. What wasn’t fundamentally different was dating. It’s always been tough, even if the overall landscape has altered. The apps are a shitshow that I’m happy to have missed out on; but I experienced more IRL rejection on an average Saturday night than most zoomers would experience in a year.

"Women on PPD don't comport with my porn-rotted brain, so they don't actually exist". I've come to conclude the PPD women and women on reddit in general are introverts they aren't the ones out in these streets doing lines in the clubs getting peed on at Diddy parties, filming their 100th porno. I promise that in other metrics that matter to you terps, I’m fairly unremarkable. That undefinable matters like compatibility actually matter? Nah. Must be muh dick.

That's pretty reasonable; and if he's a mature guy with his head screwed on right (or even just a decent, well-meaning dude who gets it wrong sometimes), he'll probably come to that conclusion himself. That said - the norm for marriage skews older and more financially secure where I am (I can't speak to where you live). I know couples who married around that age, and they faced a lot of issues that I didn't - not least of which was people saying "They're so young!". I can't tell you how to live …

Plenty of men are capable of expressing the desire for sex without pressuring her to do it. They tend to end up in sexual relationships more often. Yeah. And that's a learned skill. I think we're in furious agreement that guys who have that skill tend to be more romantically successful. But my point is that it's a little short sighted for a woman to immediately write off any guy who doesn't immediately nail that balance by being a little reserved. I don’t want to tell you what your timeline ought to be, but 23 is crazy young to be getting hitched. Hell - 28 felt young. A lot of guys have very real anxiety about marriage if they don’t feel they’re in a good financial position - and at 23, that’s almost certainly the case. No, that doesn’t make a lot of sense. Social programming is a hell of a thing like that. If I’ve learned anything in my marriage, it’s that ultimatums only work if you’re fully prepared to accept the consequences of “no”.…

Side question- would you be content with a bureaucratic registry office marriage, rather than a wedding. FWIW, I’m not going for a gotcha here - I’m generally pro-marriage and pro-wedding, and I’m happily married myself.

Men definitely behave better on the whole when they have a partner and kids; but it’s definitely not the only reason. Most dudes will only be able to tolerate dirtbag life for so long till they want something better.

Oh cmon. How many women have you heard disappointed that the tinder date they were into fumbled the bag by getting too sexual too quickly. It’s a matter of social calibration, but dating can feel like defusing a bomb at times.

I dunno. It’s hella easy to overshoot the sexual interest into creep territory. Most guys would rather be boring than creepy. They’ll leave it to the woman to signal the sexual interest.

So marry a woman with a job. Alimony is barely a thing anymore dude. Dry up.

Dude - no one is holding a gun to your head and making you get married. It’s strictly opt-in.

I’m nowhere near qualified to talk about human evolutionary psychology You don't need to be. It's pseudoscientific bullhonky that deserves all the respect of homeopathy.

Or you'll filter out some perfectly nice woman who's tired of low-effort bullshit and wants some small measure of good faith from the men she dates? If she's trying to upgrade a Hinge date to a full sit-down dinner...yeah - maybe ghost her ass; but some of you guys are getting het up about shit that doesn't matter.

Good Christ. What the hell is this? You made some shit up in your head, tacked an Esther Villar video on the end as a "reference" and we're supposed to take it seriously? None of this is falsifiable. There is no evidence. This is gibberish. I'd assume you're trolling, but I fear you're not.

No? This is why people turn to the red pill. This is why men over analyse and become cynical. I mean, I know you terps refuse to be nailed down on any position - it's all plausibly deniable, of course - but you sure do love an implication. I guess there's a way you could follow red pill ideology and be a cynic without being a horrid little misogynist, but I can't imagine what that'd look like.

Paying for the first couple of dates is just table stakes mate. If you think a chick is a leech - don't go on another date. A couple of glasses of pinot gris is a cheap price to pay for that kind of information about someone.

Imagine you're a man in his mid thirties. You have had maybe two short lived relationships or situationships your entire life with a rare sexual encounter here and there and a handful of dates. Really not that unusual at all, or anything to be ashamed of. It's hard out there. But it being hard out there isn't an excuse to start being a miserable misogynist little troll. There are things a guy can do to improve his odds in dating, but there are no guarantees. 99% of terp shit is just giving you l…

You cannot expect people who have had 15 to 20 years of failure and pain simply because they are not attractive at a base level to just act and think normal. Maybe not. But most of you dorks got turned down by your crush in high school and developed a complex.

I already feel sorry for them. Dating is hard. It has always been hard. Trying to find a girlfriend is mostly boring, frustrating and humiliating. Add in dating apps and your average dude has to deal with a volume of rejection the human brain reels at. The dating advice out there is mostly either manipulative bullshit (terp) or right but unhelpful (bluepill). It’s tough. Where I step off is the simmering misogyny that undergirds so much of what goes on here. Your romantic disappointment isn’t li…

OP is so thirsty, he can’t imagine a world where a man might have reasons for self improvement beyond getting pussy.

Yeah nah. Women tend to be more emotionally literate on the whole, but there’s a fairly big crossover in the bell curves. I’d hardly describe most of them as geniuses.

If they go out of their way to call a very normal preference for emotional closeness before physical intimacy“demisexuality”, I’ll assume they’re very annoying and avoid hanging out with them; but they’re grown ups and can have whatever views they care to.

What? Blue pill is just anti-red pill. It doesn’t mean walking through life in a blissful Pollyanna-ish haze. It just means not having a whole bunch of half-baked pseudoscience conspiracy theories about women.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/25 02:53 AM

My life kinda negates your claim. Some dudes are bad at being friends with women, but some do it fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 08:03 PM

Exactly. I think some of my women friends are very attractive. In different circumstances, we might have got together. But we didn’t. That’s fine.

Like I said in my original comment, they’re giving themselves permission to suck in bed - saying that it’s inevitable because the woman is just not attracted enough (because something something 80:20). It’s a way of dealing with young dudes’ insecurity about their bedroom skills. I have a certain amount of sympathy for some of these guys (though not for this bone-headed take). It’s nerve-wracking as an inexperienced man. I didn’t actually enjoy sex for years - I was too focused on “performing” t…

I don’t think women’s opinions really enter into it with these guys. They’re just sexy NPCs to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 03:54 PM

Not really. But these guys have constructed another elaborate fantasy world to cope with their own insecurities - to wit - that they might be shit lovers, and that might behoove them to do some work to remedy. The vistas of being flawed but improvable individuals yawn before them, and it’s easier to blame women.

Funny how every woman on here is pouring scorn on OP, and it’s dudes telling them they’re wrong. I find asking a chick what she likes and trying to do that has a pretty good return.

Why are you dudes giving yourself permission ahead of time to be shitty, inattentive lovers? “My three minutes of arrhythmic pumping didn’t get you there? Well - that’s on you for not being horny enough for me…”

This post is fucking unhinged. Pretty sure female teacher-male student pedophillia was barely considered a crime when I was coming up. It’s still not taken seriously enough, imo. The only reason it’s even considered now is we’ve started recognising the harm it causes - mainly thanks to feminist and feminist-adjacent research. Previous to that, the response to a teacher molesting a boy was “Nice”. I had a female staff member at my school be very inappropriate to me and a couple of other boys. We …

No, they don't actually dress up nice for speed dating. The most common complaint about speed dating from women who attend them is that most of the male participants look like your average basement dwelling Redditor. Cough What was I saying just now about low effort?

I'll cheerfully take the stuff I've read with a grain of salt - but are you calling my friends liars? Why would they lie about their experiences to me? For that matter - why would I take the word of a dude with your handle as the arbiter of what's going on out there in singles land over people I've known for over 25 years in some cases. Dudes stay on the apps because - despite the volume of rejection involved - they involve very little actual effort. They don't dress up nice and go to speed dati…
