And how is is this supposed to justify a parent's right to cut off part of their child when there's nothing medically wrong with it? Non-therapeutic circumcision is not performed in Finland, so the circumcision rates here give a good example of how often the surgery is required. The last report that I saw on HIV prevalence in Swaziland stated that 22% of circumcised men were infected with HIV, while "only" 20% of intact men were infected. There are no benefits to having an umbilical cord, as far as I know. There are definite benefits to having a foreskin (protects the glans, reduces friction and chafing during sex, etc.). Cutting the umbilical cord is painless since it contains no nerves - the foreskin is one of the most nerve-rich parts of the body, thus circumcision is very painful. 3	How are kids supposed to deal with bullying? There are two places in society where bullying is expected and tolerated: school and prison. I see so many parallels between school and prison (or at least my perception of prison, luckily I have no personal experience with that), it makes me think that the structure of our educational system needs to change considerably before bullying will be stopped.	/r/MensRights	20/02/09 12:13 AM
