Looking at it terms of the absolute number of murders runs into problems of the "gender justice gap." It would tend to result in mishandling of situations where women murder men, where women have men murdered by third parties, and when male victims of "battered wife syndrome" defend themselves against their abuser. Doesn't really need to be detailed. People who want to be parents will act accordingly of their own volition to support the child. People who do not consent to parenthood would not be required to jump through a bunch of hoops just to have their (lack of) consent respected.

Much of this is written as if Legal Parental Surrender is a new theoretical thing. It isn't. Women already have the options to abort, abandon, or adopt if they don't want to be forced to use their body to support an unwanted child. When and where is this documented and true. I have never seen that.
