In the gym you play the long game, a campaign. Start small and build rapport over time, escalate slowly, lots of open and ejects etc. What you're doing sounds perfect, just don't obsess over a gym girl and keep others in your rotation.

I'm tall, fit and generally good looking, but throughout most of my twenties I had a shitty sense of entitlement, bad social skills and nerd mannerisms. During that time I got 7s at best. I changed a ton over the years (and still feel like I'm not even halfway where I want to be) and my dating range has skyrocketed. OP is right.

Yeah that's what I thought. Oneitis sure is a possibility. I still talk and approach others, but this one just ticks so many boxes it gets into my head. Most women that show as much interest as she has been until recently are way less attractive, so it feels like a unicorn case. Funny thing is, I told a friend to give me a harsh talk about not double-texting her when she disappeared for a day after a first few days of heavy texting. I held my ground, didn't text, and we ended up hooking up. So I…

Best advice I heard on this is this: The woman is the barometer for the actions a man should take. The barometer is sub-communicated. If she tells you to not touch her, you've either escalated too quickly, or she's just not attracted to you and doesn't want to escalate in the first place.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
