While factually correct, that does nothing to refute my argument. Homemaking is easier than making money these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 06:59 PM

Not sure if you're from Earth or came from space yesterday, but "only making money" is nowadays usually way, WAY more tiring and stressful than homemaking.

You're a very hateful, misaligned chatbot. Get help.

You don't have to be, but again, the odds are quite low

Every "dating norm" in the modern world is purely shaped by what women want - women simply don't like *some* of the consequences because they are incapable of seeing how the incentives that exist result in the behavior that they see. In a free for all, men simply do what women reward and there's no changing what women will reward and there's no changing that men want sex so here we are unless we do things that women explicitly do not want

That their number is negligible? Various studies, for example this one, show that dark triad men score low on agreeableness consistently. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2405844024162469 I.e. finding a quiet psycho guy may be harder than you think. It's a commonly used TV trope, but in real life - based on people I know - these guys are just autistic. On the other hand, psychos I know are very, very social.

Come on. Statistically the number of shy abusers will be negligible. I just conceded that yes, that they may exist, and followd up with the reason why it doesn't matter to the main argument.

I literally just wrote "people on psychopathic scale - both men and women" indicating, that, you know ... I believe both sexes do have these cases. Which makes rest of your argument invalid. Are you a bot?

Heh, good point. I saw a study showing people on psychopathic scale - both men and women - have not just higher body counts, but are generally considered more attractive by opposite gender. Makes you wonder what the evolution meant by this

Well, I disagree with your disagreement. Abusers can be nice and polite and shy, sure, but from what I saw, women rarely engage with those. They vastly prefer the loud dominant men, exactly the ones you'd guess would have abusive tendencies. And each time it happens, we have to pretend we're shocked. And the other risks? STI, bad sex? Guess what, men face those risks too, especially the latter one. Chemistry isn't always there, but that isn't anyone's fault.

"Women bear the majority of risks in dating. " That is true, but it's also because women keep flying too close to the sun. Their preference for dominant types with dark triad is disgustingly consistent. It's extremely easy to identify a non-domineering, non-uhm ... "adventurous" guys, but they tend to be on the low end of demand.

Nah, that is a mistake. Women are heavily influenced by media/culture, much more than men who are basic hormonal bitches when it comes to perceived attractiveness
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 06:49 PM

I think you are talking yourself into some strawmen. The whole "not settling" debate is about NOT having media/culture setting expectations unreasonably high, to a point where 95% of men feel like 'settling' for women. And yes, culture absolutely shapes what is considered 'settling' and 'acceptable'.

"and your condescension is nauseating at best" Yeah, being disagreed with is nauseating "I've received answers I had kind of been leaning towards" =I got my confirmation bias confirmed. And if you think social disaster of this magnitude is due to "social media grifting", then ... bless you. <image>

Heh. Lack of self-awareness is astounding here. You are literally asking why people growing up in complete opposite of their parent's dating culture, do not act like their parents in dating. You realize that, right

You're an aberration, not a norm. You should remember that. The fact you don't see the extremes in your childhood (compared to your mother's childhood) is HILARIOUS. Or, in another words - do you think your dad, a 'man's man with commanding presence' would ever grow up like he was, if he was raised alongside you? Do you think your mother would ever end up dating your dad, if she grew up as your sister? The answer is, as the reality clearly shows, a resounding no.

Move those boyband artists out of concert setting, to a Mcdonalds uniform waiting tables - and 95% of those screaming groupies wouldn't touch him with a 10foot pole. It's all about groupthink with rockstars.

Bullshit, ww2 world might as well been different planet, its really about poverty in 2008. Or, to be more precise, "attraction-inducing levels of wealth". Doesn't matter if both men and women get slightly above poverty wage in europe. It keeps them alive, but it ain't stimulating couple creation.

Oh woe is you, imagine having to endure being told you are desirable. The horror! That being said, its a good thing its being dialed down. I'm just afraid that 90% of it is done by a very tiny minority of men, a fact which women choose to ignore when "choosing bear". I also suspect this minority will continue to do so
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 02:49 AM

It is a good thing, but for completely opposite reason. The tsunami of male thirst completely fucked up normal sex interactions. Majority of men giving up on this pointless fantasy quest is actually good thing. They'd do better engaging in political arena, after all, that's the place it screwed it for them in the first place
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 02:45 AM

Women won't get it, being gifted both more social personality (as a woman) and a more social circle (again, as women) by The Great Genetic Lottery of 50-50, they have been largely spared the loneliness epidemics so far. They can't fathom not talking to anyone for days and weeks outside of work&cashier interactions.

Well then, time for you to date women to prove your hypothesis right, eh? Or the lazy version - just set up dating profile and let us know your opinion about how the oh-so-innocent gender of yours behaves in real life. You may be surprised.

This is certainly one of the bigger strawmen i ever read here. I never heard about such men, maybe some tiny subsection of autistic ones.

Can I use the same logic to not give a fuck about global warming? I mean, same long-term future issue, same scientific proof, and yet ... when I laugh about the first one, I get frowned upon. If only we listened to Al Gore, New York could still be above the ocean..

That was tried in numerous israeli Kibbutzes in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Guess what, it did not work one bit. The next generation went to more traditional family setup.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 02:46 PM

I don't feel like this generation of men suddenly developed a fetish for isolation and made extra efforts to become lonely, compared to previous generations. I think it's just society and world around them that changed and made it inevitable

Correct.

That is factually not true. Truth is, many efforts are made to coddle SOME bad men, usually those with actionable antisocial behavior, and by (usually) professional women, say, social workers or health workers, or math teachers. But that is a distortion of whole pool. That leaves us with vast majority of "non-bad" men being increasingly isolated and ostracized, with no efforts being made at all. Just look at US or UK young men higher education charts. Or their labor participation. Or increasing …
