I understand that feeling: disappoint and exasperation. I'm in the US and there is literally no one that represents my interests, at all, from any political party. It just seems like a steam train chugging away to insanity.

You're kidding right? Colleges and workplaces under affirmative action laws are legally obligated to discriminate against white men specifically. I used to hang around with very liberal groups, there's a ton of racism specifically targeted against white men. Sometimes these groups won't let white men speak in group gatherings, or vote on issues. It varies from group to group, but Leftists have a strong trend of policies that are straight up racist against white men.

I went axe-throwing for the first time the other day with a group of men and women. No one in the group had ever done it. Within their first five throws, all the men were already adept at getting the axe to stick on almost every throw. After 15-ish throws, each guy was testing the limits of what he could do, by trying more distance, a heavier axe, or whatever. The women, the ones that did get it to stick, took 40-50 tries before they got it to stick for the first time. Not a single one of them g…

"These are all radical Nazis you have listed. There are many of them, especially past the 2nd Reich, but these do not represent all of them. A simple google search will lead to a Wikipedia page claiming that these people are RADICAL Nazis. This does not mean all of Nazism was radical. Nazism has done a lot of good things for Aryans in the past. I think that the 3rd Reichers have been inspired by these previous radical Nazis. Yeah so, what they say is nonsense, but you cannot represent Nazism by …

You're using the term in a different way that I am. In societies in the past, men had authority over their wives, daughters, and any other woman they had a responsibility to protect. Society has always been gynocentric: the needs of the women outweigh the needs of just about everyone else, but things were at least better when men had authority.
/r/MensRights29/03/21 05:17 PM

You can't fix gynocentrism. It's hardwired into our species for men to protect and provision for women. However, what always made it fair and effective is that men were given the authority to protect and provision. Women, being physically weaker and vulnerable when bearing children, had a biological need to transfer accountability for the family's safety to men. In order for men to take accountability, they also required authority. You can't protect a person that refuses to listen to you. The pr…

If you have two groups, group A and group B... ...and group A does most of the work, at more demanding, more dangerous jobs... ...and group B spends most of the money from that work, while doing far less themselves... ...which group would you say is really oppressed? Doesn't it seem completely ridiculous to say that group B is oppressed because they earn less when they're spending way more...of the first group's money?

Neither. I'm somewhere between Libertarian and classical liberal. For the most part I think it's the government's role to protect the right of people to live the way they want to live as long as they're not doing harm to others. Both progressives and conservatives want to get the government involved in telling people how to live their lives and I'm not for that.

The problems we face are the following: We're only examining one side, which is women's experience of disempowerment and male power. As a society we refuse to look at men's experience of disempowerment and female power. We tell men to be vulnerable and open up but shame them (it's time for women to talk, not men) when they do. What it is called "male privilege," which is mostly about having higher pay, is the result of working very long hours to climb the corporate ladder, risking life and limb …

Because the people that do this are selfish people with poor character. Hear me out: I know women in my personal life whose minds I've changed. They're no longer feminists and in one case, have become an MRA. I know a couple men like this too. This is because they're open-minded, compassionate, reasonable people who realize they've been propagandized to once the facts are on the table. They demonstrate all three of those character traits: they're open-minded enough to hear the facts, they care a…

I used to work at a high school. There was a ripped police officer who worked there occasionally, and the 55 year old female educational assistants, we'll just call them bats, would start saying some of the most vile, raunchy things about what they wanted to do with him. And then at one point, one of my female 12th years took a liking to me and would follow me around a bit too much. The bats started spreading a false rumor that I was dating this student. It almost got me fired. The amount of pre…

I have felt zero need to help, protect, or provide for women in any way for quite a while now. They long ago broke the social contract between men and women and I won't hold up my end of the bargain while they completely break their end of it. In fact, I actively advocate to reduce social programs that primarily benefit women and advocate to reduce taxes specially on men, as men pay approximately double the amount of taxes that women do while women receive around double the amount of government …

I don't think anyone has a problem with women sharing stories. The problem is that it immediately has escalated to curfews for men, all men are rapists, and widespread misandry. You can't come here and claim that what's going on is something as benign as "sharing our stories" because it's already well beyond something that reasonable.

The only actual disadvantage I can think of is that women naturally cannot take some jobs when there is nothing else because they lack the physical strength. However, this isn't really anything society did, they wouldn't want those jobs anyways, and when they refuse to take any job they're simply coddled with insane amounts of social funding. Ya, this is why I respectfully decline to celebrate women's day. Females are actively trained to never show appreciation for men anymore. I will give appreciation and love if it's given back...but it isn't.
/r/MensRights08/03/21 06:55 PM

Idk. I don't hate women and what people want to celebrate is their own business, but I rather take the opportunity to respectfully protest. We celebrate women almost every day as it is, but men's day is ridiculed and never is there a time that women come to me to show appreciation for what I do. Women today are actively trained to not show men appreciation. So, I respectfully decline to celebrate women's day. I can't in good conscience offer what isn't given in return.

Let's see. Men... Retire later. Live shorter lives. Invest much more of their money versus women who spend more (about four times more!). Have higher incomes because... They work more. They work more demanding careers with a better job market. They work more overtime and less part time. They work more dangerous jobs. ...and feminists are shocked that men are more wealthy in retirement? Women are making poor choices in careers, poor choices in spending habits, and they work far less. Using your logic, if you can find one person who disagrees with one aspect of feminism, but still calls themselves a feminist, then feminists as a whole don't have that belief. Which, that's obviously a ridiculous standard. Generalizations like, "Feminists believe x" are always statistical. And not only that, but actions speak louder than words. A few feminist groups give lip service to men's rights, but almost none actually do something about it. There is a lot more action taken against men's r…

I played WoW the day it came out. In early patches, we'd get around the language differences by typing l33t speak. 1 \/\/0|_| |_ |] 7/\|_ |< |_1|< 3 7|-|15. It was the only way to communicate between factions because the language translation from English to Orcish or English to whatever goop Allies would speak wouldn't filter symbols. STEAM is such an obvious ploy to piggy back the arts on the legitimacy of STEM. It's actually a perfect example: something becomes successful because it's realistic and provides real value, the leeches that don't provide real world value want to siphon some of that success and legitimacy for themselves, and finally the parasites, being parasites, wind up devaluing the thing that provided real value by piggy backing on it.

Ok, here's the wage gap myth. Feminists claim that women earn 77% of what men make. They argue that the lower earnings of women are proof of sexism and discrimination against women in the workplace. What makes it a myth is that it's missing details and context and is very misleading. It is true that if you add up all the money all the women in the entire country make over a year, and you add up all the money all the men in the entire country make over the same year, then the female total will on…

I don't think this will happen. The other fields have been infiltrated because they have a lot of room for interpretation and ideology. Computer science doesn't have such room: a program either compiles or it doesn't. It's either faster than another program or it's not. It's mathematical and can't be bullshitted the same way. Which isn't to say all psychology or education is bullshit - it's just that a lot of it is because the fields have a lot of room for interpretation.

Computer science graduate/nerd here. If this was done as a data analysis or using machine learning to find patterns in Wikipedia's data, it could pass as a computer science thesis. There was an Australian study a short time ago that found that men overall pay around double the total taxes that women do while women receive around double the amount of government entitlements that men do. But that would require math and statistics and like, scientific procedure and stuff. Gender Studies is the Idiocracy of the academy. You can't expect anything like that from its professors. Gender studies is not real scholarship. The Grievance Studies Hoax showed this quite clearly. Worse, it's a waste of taxpayer money, which should not be going to fund political activist movements. And even worse, it's a waste of time and money for students to pursue degrees in these subjects because after leaving school they don't have any skills that will land them jobs to pay back their student loans, exacerbating the student loan debt problem. That's a catch-22. A huge part of our discourse is about proposing solutions to men's issues but feminist organizations sabotage us. If we don't oppose the feminists, none of our issues get addressed. I think this is why MRAs are so damned frustrated. It's not inconceivable for employers to consciously or unconsciously collaborate to keep the wages of one gender lower than the other for comparable work...and it can happen both ways (female engineers and male nurses for example). She has mental health issues; talks about her suicide attempt from a few months ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdIEa0dDSLk Further, just watch a few of her videos anyways. She's very obviously mentally damaged. Her loud, high energy, tattoos everywhere, selling nudes on the internet persona makes it super obvious. The above video about her suicide attempt just confirms it. The harm being done to her child is in her mental health state. Attempting suicide is going to traumatize your child. …

I'm not even talking about allegations against her. I'm saying that her mental health state alone is going to pass on huge damage to her child. She obviously doesn't care about her kid as much as herself if she's attempting suicide and therefore is willing to orphan her kid. She needs help.

She also has videos out there about her suicide attempts. No honey, the internet doesn't hate you for sticking up for men. Why is wanting equal pay at the expense of males? Why is wanting men to have paternity pay and paid time off to have time with his family at the expense of men? Why is wanting men to be given more custody of their children at the expense of men. You're literally missing my point. All of this is either outright debunked (wage gap) or feminists just pay lip service to these causes to make it seem like they believe in equality (paternity pay and equal custody). There is no equality based feminism. It's the biggest misconception about feminism is that it's about equality...but that's just a front. To determine what feminism is, don't look at what it claims to be, look at what it does. If you do, the picture is clear: it's a special interest group to gain privileges for females often at the expense of males.

So, this is not an official piece of scholarship or anything, but I hypothesize what gave legitimacy to these fields was Carol Gilligan's critique of Lawrence Kohlberg's six stages of moral development. The basic story is that Kohlberg interviewed a bunch of people, including children, about why certain actions were morally bad. After gathering data, he noticed that people gathered into one of six different groups and these groups tended to have a progressive, hierarchical order to them (as chil…

She's not the only one. While she's perhaps in the top 1% of earners for what she does, her entire "profession" is just dressing up cute, turning on a camera, and acting girly. There is no comparable path of "show bobs, make money" for men and therefore is strong evidence against the idea that women have it rougher. Even the top 1% of income earners among men are forged by trials and effort even if they had major starting advantages. Women simply don't have that same burden of performance as lon…

However, is is true that we have too little women in managerial positions. There are less woman CEO's that male CEOs named John for example, so the list is highly skewed towards men. Are men really so much more talented that only a few percent of CEOs deserve to be women? This might be something that makes the statistics say so overwhelmingly that men earn more, since those positions generate a lot of income. However, for the average lower- and middle-class family the difference is neglible. Men…

Minor financial benefits, mostly in the form of insurance and tax relief. Your partner can make medical decisions in the event you're incapacitated. You're not at the mercy of doctors. Men choose more lethal means because they're more serious about wanting to leave this world. They hold no hope for help and know that failure will result in shaming against them. Women, on the other hand, choose less lethal means because they're less serious about wanting to leave this world. They know they'll get help and their suicide attempt will garner them resources and attention.

A basic understanding of science and its history shows that many things that were once "common sense," when investigated through research, were shown to be quite false. Therefore, it's reasonable to conclude that it's worth investigating what otherwise "seems obvious." Yes, that's my point. But my point goes with a further point: it wasn't a gift. I've had rather extreme problems with social skills and connection. I used to literally be a 14 hour a day WoW nerd. I went through my younger years completely ostracized. I turned it around because I found the inner strength to get honest with myself, face the parts of me that were wounded, and do the work. Women are attracted to me because I don't hate myself anymore - I take care of myself and accept ALL of me (ev…

"I'm curious as to what parts of you you consider not to be archetypal masculine" Well, the first is that I do like to be led by women. Second, I'm somewhat bi and do enjoy a masculine lover once in a while. There's a bunch of other things that depend on what someone regards as masculine. I have conservative-minded family members who are judgmental about the clothes I sometimes wear (I add an odd piece of flair here and there), my emotional vulnerability, the fact that I sometimes do cry when I'…

Yes, attractive personality is what I'm getting at, and that comes from a LOT of work on myself. I'm talking multiple meditation retreats, years of self-improvement, heaps of honesty about my fears, and finally a "letting go" of all that I'm afraid of. Having an authentic desire to serve and improve the experience of people around me doesn't hurt either. I used to literally be the stereotypical nerd who played World of Warcraft 14 hours a day. Seriously, I was a top rated shadow priest. I just d…

I'm sure being physically attractive helps a lot. I've lost about 40 lbs in the past year. Here's the thing though: I haven't tried to. I just started loving myself more - meaning I started eating less sugar because I want my body to feel good. I started stressing less so there's less cortisol running in my system. It's not rocket science. Women want a guy that loves himself and cares enough to share that love with others. Not hard.

This is sooo not it. In fact the thing that holds me back the most is money and logistics. The communities I run with regard math and finance with a bit of disdain tbh. It's not socially encouraged.

I don't experience it that way. TRP encourages men to become a specific archetype of masculinity. "Change yourself to look more like the ideal man."f Owning it for me means not hating myself for having that flaw and instead of letting it remain a flaw (or changing it), I get it to work for me instead.

This exactly: owning your vulnerability is what has worked for me. Honestly women have only been a side benefit. The real benefit is that I now own myself in my totality - the things I grew up being told were flaws in me are actually sources of my greatest strengths. I see the same in others: they burden themselves with all these flaws and self-hate. Being vulnerable and authentically relating with women works because it shows that I love myself enough to not hide. They want a piece of that. The…
