Probably, I don’t know DeSantis’ stance on the draft or selective service, but it would be on brand for a classic conservative like DeSantis to support a men only draft. If I had had a similar experience with women serving in the army as you, I would have reached the same conclusion. (Note I have absolutely zero experience with serving in the military). I used to know some old guys back in Denmark who loved to tell stories about how they spent their time goofing around while serving in the army (mandatory basic military training), but nothing as wild as some of your examples. That’s shocking.

In Norway both men and women, regardless of sex and gender identity, have to undergo mandatory basic military training, and both will indiscriminately be drafted for combat roles doing wartime. So Norwegian women has as huge of an incitement to push for sustainable peace treaties as their male counterpart.
