I am and have been in a similar situation so I understand your frustration. Best path forward - be the absolute best father to your children. Document everything. Don’t get dragged into emotion based discussions. If you feel like your loosing your cool back away from the ex calm down. Most ex’s want nothing more then to bait their ex’s get them upset or claim some sort of non existent crime. Do what you’re doing - in the long run your children will benefit and thank you for it.

If you can’t come to an agreement being rational and reasonable then your case will end up being decided by a judge. Think about what is best for you, just facts. No emotions. If you feel that you are entitled to the business then that’s the position you take. No discussion with her until Mediation or agreement. Speak about were issues only through your respective attorneys. Don’t give her anything that she can twist around and use against you. Make sure if things get heated your leave - women l…

Don’t let emotion run the decisions here. You must put your happiness and well being first. Don’t allow her responses and emotions interfere with your decisions. Do what makes you happy and makes life more enjoyable. Yes it may be uncomfortable for a time but long term your life will get better. It’s like having surgery. Short term stressful and painful. Long term better off. My personal experience - do not fall for her bait. If she becomes hysterical and you loose your cool. WALK AWAY. Women wi…

I ended up with the house, have to pay her a small percentage. Judge never ordered her off the mortgage but ordered her to sign the deed over to me 100%. Have hope and never assume.

Have you suggested joint counseling? If not make sure you go see someone. I’ve been through this. My best advice - whatever you do don’t have a child with this woman. Second don’t act impulsively. Have a plan on how you are going to get her out of your life without destroying your own life. Document everything. Protect your assets - bank accounts credit cards, 401k, etc. Time is not your enemy it’s your ally. Prepare for every possible outcome put yourself first. You’re the one who matters most.

I’ve been through it - from the false allegations. - and three arrests that were eventually thrown out. She left without warning then attempted to get child support alimony legal fees and half of my house. A little child support and that’s it. Post more info - rough incomes for each of you guys and the custody split.

Been through the same. First - understand it’s the anxiety putting all these thoughts into your head. Men get through divorces and go on with their lives perfectly fine. Second family lawyers are some of most unethical, disgusting people on the planet. They have no idea how a judge is going to rule or what any outcome will be. They can’t read the future. Empower yourself with knowledge about family law. Document everything and start building a case that will protect you and your children. Stick …

Always do what is best for your children, but most importantly do go through this alone. Don’t think it’s weak or embarrassing to seek mental health advice or treatment. Divorce is the toughest struggle in life. Any depressants, anti anxiety medicines, and other techniques have helped me tremendously. I was in a very bad place and slowly and with my own efforts got myself out of it. Medical and psychological help, being around people, and for me very important starting to attend a community chur…

Many fathers feel slighted by having to pay child support- their ill feelings of their ex spouse makes them want to punish the ex, instead of doing what’s best for the children. If you only required to pay the lower child support from Unemployment, and your ex agreed to that I’d say that’s more than fair. That expense stays fixed while your income increases as you ramp up in the new higher paying position. Don’t screw yourself out of the emotion of your disdain of your ex wife.

Have you suggested joint counseling? Maybe she needs psychiatric evaluation? These ideas would be a good idea for you as well, help you deal with the stress and uncertainty. It’s helped me tremendously. You can’t change anyone, but you can change and improve your reaction to the people around you.

You are starting see what it took me 7 years to realize - family lawyers for the most part don’t care about you, your children or your case. If you are able to reach out to your Ex and she’s agreeable to mediation do it. You are in control of your life, your lawyer is your Mouthpiece. You call the shots and the lawyer follows your decisions by advising you. After years of playing the family lawyer game i took control and I have accomplished more than any family lawyer ever could. I ended up with…

When I am alone for the holidays - in the beginning it was tough. No it’s just another day. Enjoy doing nothing - watching a movie eating having a drink. Just stay in the moment. You’re alive healthy, have a place to live with all the conveniences of modern life. Don’t compare the holidays with the past. Enjoy the time off.

It sounds like you’re carrying the entire weight of the household — financially, emotionally, socially — while she’s drifting further into avoidance and comfort-seeking. Anyone in your shoes would be frustrated. Wanting a partner who engages, contributes, and shares a life with you isn’t “sex-obsessed” or controlling; it’s the baseline of a functioning marriage. A few things to think about: Separate the issues: There are three problems here — intimacy, contribution, and the massive lifestyle imb…

All women have to do is say “I feel unsafe”. A well informed ex can cause you irreparable life changing harm with a few words to the police or child services. Minimize interaction, don’t act impulsively take time before responding to emails, texts, etc. don’t let feelings overcome fact and reason. Men are at a huge disadvantage with the family court and DV accusations. Don’t believe minor disagreements or arguments are “minor”. Sounds to me like she may have an alternative plan go get more than …

Men are abused by the legal system by women who understand and use the inherent bias against men in DV. Even a loud voice or swearing can turn a simple disagreement into a “crime” if the ex plays the victim and knows the legal system. Trend with care. The woke environment in the court system is alive and well. Men don’t stand a chance in the current legal system. Battered by it for the last 7 years.

After a 7 year battle that continues, best advice - always keep your cool. You don’t want any reason for your soon to be ex to have reason to get police involved even the smallest argument could lead to accusations that can get you moved out of your home. Do your best to be reasonable and try working things out without the court system involved. You don’t want a judge making life decisions for your children. Hopefully your ex is rational and reasonable.
