| 1 | #HeForShe: Emma Watson Pledges Allegiance to Radical FeminismAgain I would just like to point out that all this feminist theory that you are critiquing and drawing conclusions about is not at all my perspective or how I think a good percentage of the general public think about it. There is nothing wrong with traditional gender roles I believe everyone should be free to live however they want (with caveats of course), its the idea that women should be a certain way (which seems pretty common) that is sexist and I think a negative thing for women and societ… | /r/MensRights | 20/02/19 10:20 PM |
| 1 | #HeForShe: Emma Watson Pledges Allegiance to Radical FeminismI do like the term whether or not it fits from a strick feminist theory perspective but I don't really understand how it is female chauvinism. I think it is a useful way of expressing your support for women to not be pigeon holed by their gender. I believe it's a red flag for ideas of traditional gender roles and sexism if someone says they are opposed to feminism. What do you think would be a good way to express this attitude towards women without using the word feminism? I'm more than happy to… | /r/MensRights | 20/02/19 08:08 PM |
| 1 | #HeForShe: Emma Watson Pledges Allegiance to Radical FeminismOkay. But I think most people believe feminism is as simple as wanting freedom and equality for women. | /r/MensRights | 20/02/19 07:36 PM |
| 1 | #HeForShe: Emma Watson Pledges Allegiance to Radical FeminismI don't want to impose anything on anyone I'm just expressing my point of view about feminism. | /r/MensRights | 20/02/19 04:19 AM |
| 0 | #HeForShe: Emma Watson Pledges Allegiance to Radical FeminismOh god, I feel like I've walked in to a Jordan Peterson interview. I'm sure you understand about nuance. | /r/MensRights | 20/02/19 01:58 AM |
| 2 | #HeForShe: Emma Watson Pledges Allegiance to Radical FeminismWhat do you mean "if true, so what?". I'm just pointing out that being a feminist doesn't necessitate buying in to these ideas you are rallying against. | /r/MensRights | 20/02/19 12:37 AM |
| -6 | #HeForShe: Emma Watson Pledges Allegiance to Radical FeminismDon't get me wrong I believe we have made amazing progress in terms of women's legal rights as a society and I don't think women are oppressed as a general rule. I do however think many people in society hold sexist and antiquated views around gender roles etc. I'm a feminist in the sense that I believe women should be free to live whatever way they want without restriction or judgement based on their gender. It's clear to me first hand that we have a long way to go in this regard. My partner ha… | /r/MensRights | 19/02/19 11:14 PM |
| -7 | #HeForShe: Emma Watson Pledges Allegiance to Radical FeminismWhat term would you prefer then? Women's rights movement? | /r/MensRights | 19/02/19 10:17 PM |
| -7 | #HeForShe: Emma Watson Pledges Allegiance to Radical FeminismI consider myself a feminist from a freedom and equality stand point. This irrational freak out about feminism is not helpful for the men's rights movement. | /r/MensRights | 19/02/19 09:26 PM |
| 0 | This Shit is why I turned away from Feminism and became an MRA insteadI would just say that being a feminist today doesn't imply you hold these views that define "3rd wave" feminism. To me being a feminist simply means freedom and equality for women. I don't like this idea that feminism equals anti men. It would be nice to see you support both sides rather than going from one extreme to the other. | /r/MensRights | 19/02/19 09:47 AM |
| 2 | I designed this for men!Jeez, are you okay? I'm obviously talking about our modern world where ridged gender roles are mostly a thing of the past. No need to get all sensitive about your fore fathers. If couples are in a situation where only one has to work and they agree about defined roles then all power to them. That's not a reality for most families and not what my comment was about. | /r/MensRights | 16/01/17 10:30 AM |
| – | The ignorance and loathing is realI've never heard of people hating "manspreading". Just another thing that's exaggerated to justify a men's rights subreddit?.. no I'm just kidding male oppression is a serous issue. | /r/MensRights | 15/01/17 10:37 PM |
| 6 | I designed this for men!Maybe he thought he had a rare genetic condition where poop smells bad! | /r/MensRights | 15/01/17 09:30 PM |
| 14 | I designed this for men!Babysitting is reserved for the incompetent fathers who see child care as primarily the mothers role. | /r/MensRights | 15/01/17 08:59 PM |
