Female at birth here. I am sympathetic to the fact that society rarely (if ever) talks about the sexual assault of men, and acknowledge that without broader recognition there will probably be some awful women who continue to be blind to the fact that consent must go both ways. I also accept that there are probably women petty and vindictive enough to hurt men with false accusations of rape. Those charged for crimes aren't pronounced "innocent", they're pronounced "not guilty." Just because a jury (or judge) rules that there is not enough evidence of rape to convict someone does not mean that they are innocent. A separate trial would be necessary to determine if the accusations are demonstrably false and that the accuser was lying, so it is possible to prosecute people who we know to have lied about rape allegations while women who were raped but might not be able to prove their all…
