Obviously it was my highschool in my town so I don't feel comfortable linking to it so you'll just have to believe me that it was the way I said it was. Interesting read but I'm not sure how much I agree, but that's okay! The only reason I'm hesitant to just believe the media bias theory is because when I was in highschool a male teacher raped a female student and impregnated her and it was the same coverage you claim only happens to female offenders. But that's just one example and it certainly doesn't disprove you, it's simply the reason that I personally don't buy that theory.

Yeah either its the testosterone or the culture men grow up in, nature vs. nurture. Its also possible that since men grow up stronger physically it could make them more predisposed to use their physique/more head on solutions to solve problems. I'm not making it a gender issue, it's a gender discussion. Its a crime that is predominantly male (for whatever reason) and I was asking the sub why they think that is. As a side note growing up without a father is not an adequate excuse to commit mass murderer I'm not sure what you were going for there. Im not trying to accuse all men of school shootings why are you being defensive. We can all agree that it's predominantly men and the question is: why? That's also not the same media coverage men get, looking for specific crime demographics is digging even if you use a regular search engine. EDIT: Basically if it's unclear I mean that I've never even had to google 'male school shooter' because there are so many examples with mass media coverage

Even the article states that violent crime is a predominantly male issue, I wonder why that is? The cases the article mentions are also less personal as they target schools they aren't attending.
