Sued me for child support despite the kids being with me 95% of the time and one of the kids having never even stepped foot inside her house. I will never forget the look on her face when they said that she wasn’t getting anything. It was almost cartoonish how her jaw dropped.

Clearly some guy if he doesn’t think Megan Fox is attractive.

I was extremely lucky that my ex was still in her affair fog and just wanted to live like a 25 year old. I got the kids, the house, kept my 401k, kept 100% of my military pension, and paid no alimony beyond one year of $500 bucks a month. We split the bank account 50-50 and I have to split proceeds if I ever sell the house. I am NEVER selling the house.

I deleted all of that pretty early on. As soon as I found out about her cheating, I was 100% repulsed by her. Sucks, cause I spent a lot of time making some pretty cool compilation videos lol.

A little over two years before proposal. We made it one month past our 20th anniversary.

Absolutely. For some idiotic reason I decided to propose when I got back from Iraq. I remember telling my best friend that I was about to propose. He said “I thought you told me before you left that you were going to break up with her.” Shoulda stuck to my guns…sigh.

I was certainly there the first couple times. Then I graduated to staying hard but not being able to finish. Cialis/Tadalafil helped a lot with the getting/staying hard. Still have problems finishing sometimes but it’s getting better. I’m 1.5 years out.

I hate to say it but once it’s this far gone, there’s very little chance of clawing anything back. What I CAN say is that it gets better. I absolutely promise. About 18 months ago I was in a very similar situation. We were married for 20-years and had five kids. Something flipped in her and she wanted a divorce. I’d break down at work, I couldn’t eat, I was just a wreck. It’s so hard at first. But follow the advice that you’re getting here. It works. Don’t dismiss the negatives out of hand eithe…

Absolutely right. Only the names are changed to protect the not so innocent. It’s like some SOP they all follow. If it wasn’t so heartbreaking it would be laughable.

Longfellow Deeds: What are you in for? Crazy Eyes: Eeh, I'm doin' an overnighter for bitin' the mailman. [waves his hand] Crazy Eyes: He was tryin' to cast some spell on me like a wizard or somethin'. Longfellow Deeds: You sure about that? Crazy Eyes: On second thought, maybe he was just wavin'.

Dude. I was there a little over a year ago. Not exactly the same situation but damn near. We celebrated our 20th and were separated three months later and divorced immediately after that. I can tell you that it gets A LOT BETTER. I used to beat myself up and was a wreck for the first month or so. Now I find her repulsive. I too don’t have a lot of friends but I made a point of scheduling a weekly wing night with another divorced guy whose wife had a similar meltdown. It helped tremendously.

If you tap one of their photos it should have an option to “say something about this photo” or something like that. You may have to click the heart on the specific photo(?) I’ve done it dozens of times. I deleted my profile recently so I can’t show the exact steps. Jesus Christ use Google.

One tip: you can comment on photos on FB dating. I would use that as a “message” so technically you can message first without a woman matching/liking you. A lot of women won’t respond to “likes” without a message. You might have a little more success going that route. I haven’t had a ton of success with FB Dating. I had a profile for a while but like you, kept seeing sooo many profiles in other states and even Canada. Met a few women but nothing long term.

Just because he didn’t tell them doesn’t mean he is lying to them. I didn’t tell my kids but they probably figured it out. If they ever ask, I’d say that they need to talk to her. When they are older I might tell them.

Yeah, I got really lucky. She was a SAHM for most of the marriage so she doesn’t have much of a retirement for herself now. She’ll basically be working for the rest of her life. Bad things can happen when you’re a cheating whore and blow up marriages/families.

No, we were married for 20 years. She agreed to it in our settlement agreement. She was still in her affair fog so I definitely lucked out. Splitting the proceeds if I ever sell the house was a late addition. I decided to not push the issue in case she backtracked on the other stuff. I’m NEVER selling this house lol. I’ll be a landlord before that happens.

Similar story here. Substitute convicted felon with college boyfriend from 20 years ago. I got out relatively unscathed. I have the kids 75% so no child support, she gets none of my military pension or 401k, I get the house but have to split proceeds if I ever sell, and we split our bank account 50-50. I also had to pay alimony but only $500 a month for a year…which just ended. She is struggling financially right now and I would feel bad if she didn’t sabotage every rapprochement over the past y…
