Most definitely. I was lucky enough to be raised by two parents. I can definitely see how lacking one can negatively impact one's development. This song actually covers this issue in a pretty heart-churning display. (The singer lost his dad pretty early on as well.) Sad, but catchy as hell. The lyrics + him trying to compensate for not having a father is what kills me.
