I've never seen anyone but far-left twitter ultralibs shitting on men as a whole, and the current establishment democrats are pretty far removed from that, so I doubt it. This is in addition to the fact that I think there is really piss poor communication between far-leftists and men in general. A lot of people will hear or read something along the lines of "You never know what a random man is capable of, so all men are threats until proven otherwise out of necessity of your own safety" and hype…

It depends on your definition of virgin shaming. Nobody with a brain is shaming him for being a virgin. They're using the virginity to try to take a dig at him, because male virginity is a common insecurity. It's the same as things like height, dick size, weight, etc. Personally, I don't think using virginity as an insult towards a POS is the same as shaming someone specifically for being a virgin, but it definitely could be perceived as that.

People won't sit idly by in a world where the ultra-wealthy have access to all the women. The world is run by working-class people, the millionaires and billionaires just get all the credit.

I agree with this, I haven't seen anything to suggest that the level of horniness women experience is any more or less than men, but the scope of who that horniness is felt for is a lot narrower.

Nobody, yes even women, is "loved for who they are". Romantic love as a concept only exists because of our feelings regarding that person, not some higher cosmic "who they are" concept - If you're dating someone and they become less physically attractive or they start treating you worse, your feelings are going to fade over time, and if they don't that's an issue with you and not some overarching gender-critical social message.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/24 11:03 PM

It's not about children, I would say most women having casual sex don't want kids. It's easy because men make it easy - it's also easy if you're a gay man.

All relationships are transactional, to be fair. I do agree that looks-based relationships are gonna have more passion, but if the looks go then most of the time so does the woman - you're not gonna find unconditional love outside of your parents (if you're lucky)

In those specific sugar baby-esque scenarios where you have a guy making a lot of money dating a woman 20+ years younger than him, then yeah I think those are gonna be dead bedrooms or the woman doing it as a chore, and she more than likely has a boyfriend/partner on the side. If the people are the same age then it can still be the same situation, but it's less common since I think a majority of the women who are forwardly and outwardly sugar babies are not gonna be with a guy of the same age lo…

Being boring is a pretty big cardinal sin as far as attraction is concerned, that I agree with. I don't necessarily agree with the correlation between intelligence and those things, though - I think there's a bridge of social anxiety and overthinking that tends to be associated with intelligence and those things lead to less socialization, which leads to less women knowing your existence, which leads to less success. This is before we get to the fact that intelligence and hostility are not anton…

There's a few different options. 1: They're a second alternative to the genuinely good, attractive, confident, sociable men because, unfortunately, the assholes of the world that just happen to look good are just a lot more common. 2: The women are initially unaware of their negative qualities and think they're one of the genuine good guys, and by the time they find out otherwise they've already fallen for them. 3: Like your implication, there are some women who are genuinely attracted to toxic …

A lot of redditors automatically nominate anyone who isn't a nerdy loser as an asshole, because the implication that it's their own chosen behavior that's causing their lack of success as opposed to the fact they have stereotypically male-dominated interests, work in male-dominated STEM fields, and don't have any 3rd places they want to go to to actually meet women can be pretty unpalatable.

It's pretty derivative to look at this and say intelligence is a direct disqualifier for attraction. Do you really think it's likely that women have some intelligence radar and the lower the IQ the wetter they get, or do you think it's more likely the more intelligent people tend to be agoraphobic nerds that don't socialize and/or work in male-dominated STEM fields? In college you don't meet women cramming for exams, you meet them by going out and partying, but do you not think it's likely that …

Women that want sex/relationships on dating apps find it pretty quickly, There is no "generally good guy but just hapless on dating apps" equivalent for women. Even if there were 8 women for every man, the higher standards for women would even it out.

Generally speaking women don't like assholes - the pipeline generally goes women like hot guys, hot guys get egos because of so many women liking them, and that turns the hot guys into assholes, and women overlook it because they're hot, but most women would prefer a guy to not be an asshole. That being said I DEFINITELY don't think women like straight-laced, never-party good boys either; Like in most things in life, this exists on a spectrum. A lot of women like sarcasm / smartassedness / even …

If you look at porn viewership, the vast majority of women in the West, and in may parts of the world get off to lesbian porn I can only speak anecdotally here but most big studio porn is pretty awful for the female perspective - not many of the male actors are either attractive or look like they're having genuine sex as opposed to doing whatever looks best on camera, and because everything is male POV I imagine it could be more difficult to become immersed. I know a good amount of women that ac…

Hot women don't have to settle, it moreso means the average-looking or even ugly women that are still almost exclusively attracted to the same group of men as the hot women. At some point, unless you get lucky, fantasy has to collide with reality

I don't think there's many people dating someone they're not attracted to - but I do think in the past it was a lot more common for a man (and maybe women as well) to be able to supplement his looks for other things that might make him genuinely more attractive. This still happens all the time today of course; Sense of humor, fashion/style, personality, status/money, etc. all play a huge part in determining a guy's attractiveness. But I think what a lot of people are complaining about (let's fac…

Maybe, but not enough to be noticeable. The issue isn't with the sex doing the initiating it's with the sex that's receiving; Sleeping with women is hard even if you're a gay/bi woman, and Sleeping with men is easy even if you're a gay/bi man.

1: Standards. Men have lower standards than women for hookups, partially because most people know horny men willing to hookup with a stranger are way more common than horny women willing to hookup with a stranger 2: Physicality. There is a physical danger aspect for women to think about in terms of hookups that is not present for men, and this causes their standards to be higher - you wouldn't risk your life for a thousand bucks, but you might for a million. 3: Accessibility. This kinda goes han…

I can only speak anecdotally but for myself and lot of my friends the only purpose of monogamy is if you legitimately seeing yourself growing old and dying with this person, partially due to the financial stress having a girlfriend (and especially having kids) can provide, and more and more people as generations go by are beginning to ask themselves if the juice is worth the squeeze. This also plays hand-in-hand with hypergamy as well, with it generally being a lot easier for people attracted to…

It's changed a lot in recent years, and 45 isn't young enough to reflect that. The oldest people who had their formative childhood years in the eye of social media (myspace and facebook) are only early 30s. More and more young people are incredibly socially malnourished compared to people their age 20 years ago - It's more and more common for people to choose to stay in and scroll tiktok or play video games due to the advancement of technology than it is to actually go out in the world and do ra…

More and more "good men" are becoming more and more reclusive, either out of anxiety or out of fear of coming off as weird/creepy to women - empathy can be a bitch at times, and being cognizant of the many struggles and dangers women face in their dating lives can make a guy not want to add onto it, even with something as innocuous and unassuming as "Hey I think you're really pretty". This isn't to say you can't meet genuinely good guys - it's just the most outgoing and surface-level approachabl…

Depends on the metric. You could make the argument sleeping with 1 woman is more valuable than matching with 5000 that all say they want you but nothing ever happens. That being said, I would say the only people dating apps truly benefit over real world dating the most are people who are socially malformed but physically attractive, but that's already a fairly small subsection of people anecdotally speaking.

Vocalizing what you don't like is always going to go over worse than vocalizing what you do like. "I prefer athletic women" is going to go over a lot better than "I don't date fat women". That being said, actually saying these things out loud doesn't actually matter whatsoever is basically always going to be viewed as antagonistic; Nobody really gives a shit about what your preferences are, and the only people it actually affects are the people you try to date, and you're already not going to da…

Attraction is important but it's also subjective. You can see 2 average or even below-average looking people and think they're settling, but they normally don't see it that way themselves. Relationships are predicated on how the other person makes us feel, not the way they look.

I don't think it's something worth explaining in any great detail, most people 40+ really don't grasp the gravity of how different dating as a young adult is now as compared to when they were younger. Between social media causing both a rising sense of inadequacy when comparing yourself to people more successful than you (in any way really) and creating a feeling of isolation because more and more young adults are coming up socially malnourished and unable or unwilling to form connections with o…

It depends on the topic at hand, but as far as interpersonal relationships are concerned, yeah. If you try to perfectly understand some sort of tangible logical reasoning behind the decisions other people make you'll lose your mind - The irrationality and unpredictability of human beings, as well as the differences between person and person, has been a subject of philosophical discussion for as long as philosophy as existed as a concept. It's a crossroads, basically. If you're shy, low self esteem, low confidence, think every woman is only after mr. 6'5" foot long dick, or anything like that, at some point you have to either continue letting yourself be crippled by those thoughts and being too insecure to approach women and too afraid of rejection, or throwing all those thoughts to the wind and saying "fuck it" in the hopes that you find the one woman out of 10, or 100, or a million or whatever that will want to be with you. The fact that you bring up "facts and evidence" in support of men makes me think you want something tangible that a woman brings to the table that only a woman can provide, that other women don't and that isn't already a given for any relationship, but that's just simply not the way traditional relationships work. A lot of dudes that fit this traditional "bring something to the table" type of man are already secure in everything that's tangible - got a job, car, saving up money for a home or alr…

Attraction cannot be quanitified individually, but it can be pretty easily predicted on a larger scale. If you have a guy that's super tall and shredded and a guy that isn't and have enough women pick one, the super tall and shredded guy is going to 100% have more interest with a big enough sample size - but that isn't to say every individual woman would prefer him. That's why a lot of people say "i think x person is attractive but i'm not attracted to them"

Because a lot of dudes, unfortunately, view relationships as 2 parts: sex and everything else. I wholeheartedly believe that if a lot of the dudes who always go on about how the modern woman is so much worse than the traditional one and how much worse transactionally relationships are nowadays could get sex as easily as the modern woman, they would never even care about relationships to begin with. That being said, from the perspective of a straight man, its also just inherently more pleasant to…

Depends on the level they're at and who they're after. If you're ugly and just want to date a normal cute guy/girl it's probably better to self-improve up to that standard to the best of your ability. If you're decently attractive but want to date supermodels or other head-turningly gorgeous people then it might be time for a reality check.

A lot of things matter a lot, but relationships and dating is all about compromise. Almost nobody is in a relationship with someone who is perfect for them in a checklist sort of way; they enjoy their time with them, are attracted to them, and like the way they make them feel. It's no secret that generally speaking a lot of women prefer men to be taller than them, in a lot of cases by a significant amount. But the amount of women actively repulsed by men shorter than that requirement is a whole …

The case by case varies on each individual woman, but in general its any combination of 4 things: 1: Women have for a much longer time had a much higher societal pressure to be physically attractive than men, and still do. This means women are much more likely to use a lot more beauty products beyond basic hygiene/haircare than men are, and the average woman is much closer to her maximum attainable attractiveness than the average man. 2: The physical "ideal" of what is conventially attractive as…

Because men and women view the difference between dating and fucking very differently. For men, dating and fucking might as well go hand in hand because in most cases for the average man (i.e. a guy women might give a shot but isn't going to have any woman immediately lust after him) they have to put forth the brunt of the work into both dating and fucking, and they feel like, as a man, a lot of the responsibility of both of those things being good experiences falls onto them. it's still mostly the former, or its the fact men are much more likely to work manual labor jobs which do not require college for the most part, so they just enter the workforce right out of high school. Unlike a lot of trpers or incels I actually think a lot of times these women are being genuine in what they mean, but disingenuous in the actual meaning; A lot of times they have already subconsciously pre-filtered out a chunk of men where dating them is not even imaginable so, for example, when a woman says height doesnt matter generally this means she doesnt care about height between 6'2-6'5.

Not really because there are very few men on earth that are actually woefully unattractive to the point of pity, most men just don't put in proper effort and have been overexposed to hedonistic instant gratification with everything from fast food to porn to the internet in general, and as a result the concept of having to put in weeks/months of self improvement before seeing any meaningful results as far as getting a girlfriend is concerned might as well be synonymous with never having a chance …

I don't think men are less hurt by emotional cheating than women, and I don't think women are less hurt by physical cheating than men. Cheating just sucks all around. For a lot of people with traditional views of sex it's the single most intimate act you can commit with someone, and if your partner goes and fucks someone else it's a clear indicator they weren't having good enough sex. Combine this with the fact that, due to societal conditioning, most men believe themselves to have sole responsi…

A potentially amazing partner that you don't feel attraction to is a friend.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/22 03:19 AM

I think literally everyone on earth is like that in some degree. Which is why there is so much debate on looks being the most important thing, cause most people filter out the people they just cannot imagine dating automatically, then apply their actual conscious standards for dating to the people that are remaining, so in their minds looks don't actually matter that much. But yes technically looks are the most important thing
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/22 03:18 AM

Yeah, I get where people are coming from when they say personality is most important, but that's generally because when someone isnt attractive enough for them they subconsciously reject them before even considering them as a partner. If the only people who exist in the dating sphere are those you consider attractive enough to date, then of course personality is the most important.

Well that's my mistake then. I kinda assumed that it was general knowledge that men don't really need to be marketed to; they're going to go where the hot women are, regardless if it's a nightclub or an abandoned barn :p
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/20 11:06 PM

this is.. literally what i said. The phrasing from the OP made it seem like the skills to market a nightclub to get women in the doors are the same skills that you would use to go up to a woman one on one and pick her up, which is what I said wasn't really the case. I think plenty of socially awkward dudes could be good club promoters from a marketing standpoint. The promotional events you're talking about like ladies night is what I would consider "marketing the club to the general populace"

A club promoter generally markets his club to the general populace as opposed to going woman to woman bringing them in. Ads, word of mouth, social media, promotional events, etc.

As another user suggested, scarcity is not determined by some arbitrary raw amount of goods, its how much goods there is to distribute compared to the desire for said goods, aka supply and demand. Male validation from women is always going to be scarce because male thirst is near infinite. Until every straight man has the ability to get sex from women at the same frequency, ease, and quality as vice versa, the scarcity will continue existing. This is obviously a scenario that will never happen. …

I hope I dont offend with this but just meeting people IRL is easy to say as a woman as most ubiquitously get approached and dont have to do much. I think if you're going for the goal of attracting women, the only thing that determines if something is "bad" or not is how women respond to it. It's a comforting thing to say personality or sense of humor or emotional sensibilities are what you want in a partner but if the brainless jocks are undoubtedly getting more sex on average then that should be the goal to recreate.

They're implying it's not bad for the guy. I've heard a lot of women say "oh he's not my type he's only for a hookup" like it's some sort of woeful travesty for the guy to "only" hook up, but most guys just want that in the first place.

Sex is a consensual act that deally is mutually beneficial. There is no raw deal to it, and theoretically both parties participate in all stages of the courting process: Two people go on a date, two people connect, two people have sex. Paying for dinner is not. It's a good gesture but its not mutually beneficial. Two people go to dinner, one person pays and the other gets it for free. Female sexual attraction is predictable as well just towards a smaller percentage of men so less noticable. If a woman sees Jason momoa or Chris hemsworth walking down the street (even if they weren't famous) shes going to take a peek in the exact same way men do.

Confirmation bias tends to be in effect here. They have a specific idea of girly interests that are uninteresting to them (normally makeup and fashion) and tend to only notice the women that reinforce that belief because, surprise, they look better and are more easily noticed.
