Feminism believes that women should have the same rights and protections as men. Egalitarians believe all people should have the same rights and protections. If you are egalitarian you believe the core idea of feminism. Feminism is a subset of egalitarianism. You could be a feminist without being egalitarian, but you cannot be an egalitarian without also being a feminist.
