Building off of that, she’s also taken some very questionable stances on trans people IMO. Trans issues can be (and often are) intertwined with misandry, and more broadly, I struggle to support someone claiming to build up one group while tearing down another.

It absolutely is. As someone who is both an ethnic minority and has a partner from a Muslim-majority country, it is so readibly, observably, and categorically false that white women in Western society are a marginalized class. They are anything but: they are incessantly coddled and shielded by society and told they can do no wrong whatsoever, even when they engage in the very bigotry or violent behavior they decry from men (just flipping the targets). They face basically zero social or legal rep…

That poster’s last paragraph… yeesh, talk about projection.💀 I was bullied a lot growing up, ironically by people just like this person. No one helped me. I’ve certainly gone through stages of being bitter and angry at the world, but unlike this emotionally-stunted troglodyte, I didn’t use that as an excuse to shut off all empathy, but to make sure others didn’t go through what I did. That goes for anyone, regardless of gender identity: I’ve stood up for everyone who I’ve seen getting picked-on …

Bro, THIS the hill they wanna die on? I’ve seen some dumb shit before, but defending a prolific child sex trafficker just to validate your worldview is actually insane. Someone please study this person’s brain, I have to know what compels someone to be this brain-rotted!

Sienna Mae was caught sexually assaulting another TikToker (I forget his name, but I think it was Jack Wright? Not sure how you spell it…) on camera. There is actual video footage taken by one of his friends of her straddling him and trying to make out with him while he is far too drunk to consent. He came out later and confirmed that this was unconsensual. Sienna Mae has routinely denied doing it despite the video of her doing it and just continued to keep doubling-down until people forgot abou…

For what reason? It doesn’t exactly help your case saying that the “all men are trash” rhetoric is bad if you’re going around making misogynistic jokes yourself, plus there’s far more (in my opinion) high-brow ways to joke with people than reducing them to their most superficial traits.

It’s called a Kafka trap: it’s a rhetorical/logical fallacy where the objection of members of the group being accused of a certain behavior or action to being accused of said behavior or action is used as confirmation that they partake in it. There’s basically no way to genuinely argue with people who do this other than just not play into their game because they’ve pretty much already decided in their mind that you’re guilty of whatever it is they’re accusing you of. I’ve just gotten in the habi…

While I broadly disagree with the pro-life stance (not gonna get into it, though, because it’s not relevant to the broader point I’m making here and I honestly don’t feel like getting into it), it’s pretty telling that their only rebuttal is, “You posted to this one place and/or did this one thing I don’t like and therefore, I’m gonna write off everything you say as bogus.” I’m rather progressive politically (or at least I’d think I am), but this shit drives me up a fucking wall about the people…

Quarter black, three quarters white guy and I can attest to this, too. Worse yet is that their misplaced sense of victimhood makes them think they have the right to talk over everyone else in progressive spaces. Honestly, if I hear another rant about how “bad” they have it coming from someone who’s lived such a cushy, insulated life with so few hardships, it’s actually laughable that they view themself as a marginalized individual, I might just puke. Privilege is being able to talk over and sile…

Maybe I’m just at the point in life where I’m more cynical and jaded, but I’ve started vehemently calling it out when I see it, whether it’s IRL or online. I’ve gotten to a point in life where I just don’t care how I’m perceived anymore: I’ve been admitted to therapy groups where the actual therapists were spewing misandrist shit while I was in the room despite me quite literally being there because of that very same rhetoric wearing down my sanity over the years. I’ve had the bullying and sexua…

Many, many times. But more often, I get people calling me an “incel” (which is fucking hilarious because I have two partners, both of whom are NB/trans, and have been vocally critical of both redpill philosophy and the treatment of women in Muslim-majority countries, such as the one one of my partners comes from).💀I just brush myself off and keep doing it because if I don’t hold them accountable, nobody’s gonna give them a reality check.

That’s not even getting into how they argue misandry “isn’t a word” in another poster’s reply to that exact comment. The amount of times this person contradicts themself is unreal.

Point to where I said ANYTHING remotely misogynistic. I’ll wait. Oh, that’s right! YOU CAN’T! Because even YOU know you’re full of fucking shit at the end of the day and looking for misogyny where there is none. It’s in your fucking head. And for the record, my partner (who is non-binary and AFAB) comes from a Muslim-majority country where women face significant legal and social disadvantages which I am very vocal about, so nice fucking reach there, pal.💀

And meanwhile, people like you only fuel the cycle of hatred whilst claiming to want to stop it. What’s your fucking goal, really? You people stand for nothing, you have no morals, you have no consistent standards, you have nothing. All you have is a bunch of divisive, hypocritical BS masquerading as a coherent ideology that claims to support equality whilst consistently, at every turn, going out of its way to invalidate and actively antagonize actual efforts to fight for equality. Bruh, listen to yourself! “Clean the gene pool”? This is literally just rebranded eugenics. Maybe you were being exaggeratory here, but you can’t deny that it sounds eerily reminiscent of that same rhetoric.

Way to completely fucking misconstrue what I said, pal. Really shows where your priorities lie. No, I said everyone needs to take accountability. You are also overgeneralizing here when you said “men don’t even make themselves accountable”: I can tell you based on both personal experiences and from what others have told me that men, more often than not, hold their own accountable. Also, way to go straight into purity-testing as if that has any bearing on what I said. I haven’t needed to call it …

Or maybe the women in question need to take some fucking self-accountability and stop blaming THEIR shitty behavior and actions on men as a collective. I was bullied by women and girls my whole life, but I don’t get to use that as an excuse to be a misogynistic piece of shit myself. You want shit to change? Then do your fucking part and hold yourself to the same standards you hold others to regardless of what others have done to you instead of using it as an excuse to avoid taking accountability…

The most obvious one to me is that they hold women to a very different standard than they hold men. When a man does something, they either provide excuses for it if it’s bad or try to rationalize penalizing the woman for doing the same thing in the same scenario if it’s neutral. In other words, a woman acting in any way they don’t like is treated as a monolithic indictment on the character of every women everywhere while a man in the same scenario with only the sexes flipped is not. A man cheats…

God, I'm glad that asinine debate has died down. I tried pointing multiple times how if you swap just a couple words, it wouldn't sound out of place at a literal Klan rally, and yet people kept insisting that it was "different" and I didn't know what I was talking about. (Here's the kicker: it was mostly white women telling this to me, an actual racial minority. Jordan Peterson is what I like to call a “diet intellectual”: what he says may sound profound or deep on a superficial level, but once you strip away that facade, it becomes clear that he’s a man who says a lot but also simultaneously says nothing. He offers nothing helpful nor of substance to young men (fuck, anyone, really), and his stances on other topics give me the impression that he’s merely a contrarian for the sake of being a contrarian. I would not honestly take anything he says to have…

The funny thing is that a lot of folks won't even bother listening before attacking you. I'm a left-winger in a committed relationship (I've even clarified that before debunking the arguments), and I still get called an incel for calling this toxic BS out. Like, for fuck's sake, if you won't listen to someone theoretically on your side, then what the hell is it gonna take for you to realize that maybe, just maybe, your insistence on everything fitting into a binary worldview is why we're in this…

Can we maybe not make sweeping generalizations ourselves? I don’t like to be pedantic, but it’s a bit ironic to generalize this behavior to women as a collective while simultaneously condemning it when some women do it to men. It undermines the point you’re trying to make.

Because it’s a power thing for them, it’s that simple. Same reason why people commit sexual harassment or other sex crimes.

TBH I think we should start calling it what it is: it’s hypocritical entitlement. They feel entitled to male spaces, but flip out if it’s the other way around. Personally, I don’t care either way whether or not someone brings their straight friends to a gay or lesbian bar, but I do care that people are at least logically consistent with their standards. And as you highlighted, the sexual assault isn’t specific to one sex here.

God, I hate the Queer Kiwi so much. She’s like peak Tumblr feminist. I remember a video she released a while ago where she was trying to say something stupid which was to the effect of, “Lesbians shouldn’t bring their straight male friends to lesbian bars because that’s a safe space for them.”, nevermind the fact that gay dudes bring straight women to gay bars all the time.💀

While I definitely wouldn’t put it above Trump and his cronies to cheat (they tried to play dirty last time), I don’t think it was rigged. I think the DNC genuinely just fumbled the ball here by not focusing enough on economic issues this time around. Part of it was also inevitable because all around the world, we saw almost every incumbent party in power lose the elections. The Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, which has been in power for over 4 decades, lost in Japan’s most recent elections b…

I voted for Kamala, but honestly, this is part of the reason why she lost: her campaign really shot itself in the foot by blaming black men for swinging conservative. All this blaming men for everything is not helping, and the sooner the Democrats realize this, the sooner they might get more widespread support. This is just confirming the suspicions of those who did vote for him that they do just hate them for being men because they’re being exclusively singled-out for that quality alone while g…

I could list any of the number of times I was bullied growing up and was told I was somehow at fault, but instead, I’ll focus on how people have reacted to me telling them I was emotionally groomed into a sexual relationship with a former friend that I did not want. This person was essentially trying to constantly ramp up the depraved sexual shit he could get me to do because he figured I wouldn’t push back, and the very worst he ended up trying to get me to do was, and trust me, I feel physical…

Sounds about right. I call them out on how the man vs. bear rhetoric sounds like the arguments used by literal klansmen to justify racism against black people (never mind the statement itself just being generally bigoted), and they immediately try to explain to me how their blatant bigotry is somehow “different”.💀Yeah, “ally” my fucking ass. Well, unfortunately, most of these people are people I meet on my college campus, so that adds up. Even back in high school, though, I remember people making excuses for blatantly shitty and abusive behavior my bullies partook in whilst simultaneously tone-policing, victim-blaming, and gaslighting me for telling them to kick rocks.

Sadly, I have to agree. People say, “Just turn off your phone.”, but I’ve heard people spewing this shit IRL as well. It takes every ounce of strength I have not to wring their neck each time. I’m getting increasingly more irritated with it, so honestly, the next time it happens, I’m gonna just go off on ‘em and call these assholes what they are: shameless, disgusting hypocrites.

I remember I posted there a few years ago talking about how this girl I was in an on-again-off-again FWB situation with accused me of “betraying her trust” by sending her at-the-time boyfriend pictures of our sexting so that he knew what she was into (something which she SPECIFICALLY told me to do), and somehow, someone there managed to try and twist the situation into making me out to be the asshole or that I “manipulated” her. This is why I don't trust anyone who says they pick the bear over the man: the absolutely mental gymnastics they use to justify their choice is usually just one or two words away from sounding like racist propaganda. (And spoiler alert: the vast majority of them are implicitly racist.) Yet you call it what it is (profiling), and suddenly, you're "part of the problem".🙄Well, excuse me for not engaging in your weird double-think BS!

Well, we never physically had sex since it was long-distance and I didn’t actually say “no”, so it was coercion but not rape. Either way, the person was scummy.

Not rape, but I was coerced into a sexual relationship with someone. This person apparently had eyes on me ever since we met at a summer camp the previous year (this took place between December 2020 to April of 2021), and as creative writers, we quickly bonded over similar interests. They used my interest in doing voiceover work as an opportunity to get closer to me, and in hindsight, the character they had me voice seemed eerily reminiscent of how they seemed to view me. Cut to around December,…

What kind of bullshit, circlejerking, self-victimizing, fallacious, mind-numbingly stupid, circular-reasoned, nonsensical crap is this? Karen is just a joke referring to overly-protective and impatient middle-aged mothers. That's it. That is absolutely it. There is no misogyny in it. The joke is not "all women are like this". Jeez. People are just dumb. I swear to God, there's so many people who make up crap to be pissed off at.
/r/ExRedPill20/04/20 09:16 PM

And this is exactly why I left these folks a long time ago: because they'll praise men for things that they decry women for. They'll do it for literally anything: domestic violence, rape, murder... As long as they can find an excuse to put women down, they'll do it.
