I didn't say it wasn't an excuse, it's an explanation. Doesn't make it right, but that's how it goes unfortunately.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/25 01:41 AM

It doesn't make it okay though, that's my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 04:14 AM

I haven't heard much about the American Jeans stuff I won't lie.

Just seen a couple of videos on my FYP about how we're in a "chopped man/women" and all that, apparently people are getting uglier or something, I'm just confused how people think it's okay to comment on the appearance of others?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 03:44 AM

When did this whole "chopped man/woman" epidemic rubbish come from? Who gave people the audacity to think they have the right to comment on other people's appearances? It's not your business or place to comment on how others look.

Most shit people get rewarded for shit behaviour, that's the world we live in. Shit people will do what they have to do to make it to the top.

I do find it funny how whenever someone says a gender is this or a gender should be doing that and someone responds "WELL WHAT ABOUT MEN/WOMEN???" Or whatever the opposite gender is. Yes that's implied that they're included, but they weren't the current topic of discussion. I forgot that we have to specify every minute detail of what we mean in case someone gets upset or takes it the wrong way.

Do the people on here that are whining constantly about dating just not get outside much? It sounds like they don't.

Dude when I was far more introverted (I still am to an extent) I still didn't struggle, I got with girls who were just as introverted as me, my current girlfriend is pretty introverted, and we can do that together now. It's not the end of the world as some online make it out to be. You gotta make the best of a bad situation (if you define it as bad of course)

You see people on here, X, Tik Tok or whatever form of social media suits them whining that everything isn't fair and that people should "lower their standards" or "be more fair" and all that sort of thing, the point of the post is to just tell them to get over it essentially, all dating preferences are equally valid, and if they don't like it? That's tough shit unfortunately.

The point is people need to get off their high horses about other people's dating preferences, and how they're "shallow" or "unfair" and stuff like that when they're all valid preferences.

Depending on the situation it could be up for interpretation but at the end of the day, people can't control what they're attracted to.

I'll say this every single time this topic comes up If body count matters to you, that means body count matters. If body count doesn't matter to you, then body count doesn't matter. There is no right or wrong, every preference on the topic is valid.

It's your job as partners to protect each other, nothing to do with gender. You should both want to keep the other safe. But in all seriousness why have you posted this question on so many subreddits? No topic is ever that deep.

I think some women lower their standards for sure, but I think just about every person you meet will have different definitions of high standards, because what one person's low standards might be, may be another person's high standards. I don't believe there's any way to truly measure it, everyone is different.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 02:02 AM

Being against 50/50 relationships is almost exclusively an online opinion, nobody in the real world is against 50/50 relationships. If you genuinely believe 50/50 relationships are bad I'm going to assume you're terminally online and don't go outside much, it's just not an opinion you see people openly believe in real life. Most people believe 50/50 is the way to go.

Maybe I'm not chronically online enough but I've never seen anyone use that line, unless it's a select few online but I've never seen that sentiment echoed in every day life.

Some of them absolutely struggle due to shooting out of their league, some of it is because they refuse to listen to any advice that doesn't reaffirm their point of view. Life isn't fair, you roll with the punches and work around them. This isn't the case for all of them of course, online though? It's definitely a decent amount.

I'd hardly call it a Reddit opinion when most normal people in the real world think America sucks right now, if Americans don't want people to criticise their country then they should probably vote in someone who isn't incompetent. America brought this on itself for voting in a rapist.

The COVID lockdown stuff was overblown by Americans looking to fear monger, most lockdowns were over within a few months and by the late stage of 2020, outside of Victoria, the country had gone back to normal, but most people were fine with the restrictions both lockdown and travel wise. The age verification stuff is blown out of proportion too, it's nowhere near what it's being made out to be. Just more people looking for an excuse to be upset about something.

What rubbish, don't be so dramatic. That's such a Reddit opinion to have.

Yeah I'm really not worried about anything going on over here, we're in a good spot with this government, massive improvement over the last one. And digital panopticon? Talk about an over exaggeration.

Oh well, they made their choice and voted in that incompetent clown. Can't blame anyone but themselves now.

Housing market isn't amazing at the moment but I don't put that down purely to our politicians and put that down to the state of the world at the moment in general, it's not the PM's fault. This current government has vastly improved in pretty much every metric from the previous administration, so I'm pretty happy. Australia always functions better under a Labor government compared to the Liberal Party.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/25 05:45 AM

Attractiveness is definitely important but I think a lot of people on here from what I have read underestimate and refuse to believe that you can build attraction with someone the more you get to know them. You may not have found someone attractive at first sight, but once you get to know them, you notice things about them and they become more attractive as a result. It happens.

I look at everything that goes on in the United States and feel so grateful Australia is an actually well run country. Everything looks miserable over there.

People will take dating advice poorly from anyone if it's not what they want to hear, they don't want legitimate advice, most people just want to feel validated in their viewpoint.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
