That's because it's a popular trope on tv. Yeah but I'm talking about real life And you're a man so you find all men ugly anyway. No I don't. I can easily tell when a man is generally attractive. If you decide to turn your life around and work on yourself for a few years you'll realize for men to become attractive to women takes hundreds of times more effort than what it takes for women to become attractive to men. What? Who said my life needed turning around? Who said I'm not working on myself?…

Right, but as I said, Jay was defending himself enough in the video, he doesn't need to hit a woman.

Why should he hit her back? What does that help? He's a big guy, his life is in absolutely zero danger, hitting her benefits no one.

Like I said, Jay is 6'2" and way stronger than her. His life is not in danger, he defended himself enough by blocking her.

I'm not saying she's not. Not true. First of all, Chris Brown is a pop singer, people don't expect rappers to be good people. And Chris Brown mercilessly beat his girlfriend, which would be different if Jay "defended" himself. I have a question for you though. By blocking her attacks on the video, Jay defended himself. Are you saying you want him to be able to attack her back? Because that is not right for anyone, men or women.

Jay doesn't have the right to hit her back. No one should be hitting anyone. His career wouldn't be over. Dr. Dre viciously beat a woman, Chris Brown beat Rihanna, Action Bronson treated a transsexual person inhumanely. Not to mention that in '99 Jay stabbed someone at a party.

Lmao dude no one is justifying her behavior, it's a joke. If you watch the video, you'll see that Jay did basically nothing. Is it because he's being oppressed? Traumatized? Fuck no, it's because Jay is a cool guy and also way stronger than her so she's like a fly to him. There isn't an issue here regarding men's rights. Nut up and go about your day.

Jay-Z is 6'2" and in pretty good shape. Solange is shorter and weaker. She will get punished for starting an attack. What's the problem here?

Jay was playfighting with an old friend for a movie here, don't bring the old myth back up.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
