I am going to try to be as diplomatic as possible. I don't have a problem with people's preferences changing as they get older. That is just maturing, everybody does it. However, what this post and others like it completely ignore are the large groups of men that get passed over until a woman is ready to settle down. I'm pretty happy with where I am casually, but if I was a more average looking man, I would feel the same way they do. This post is a little insulting to me and doesn't take a lot o…

So I could care less about a woman's n count. I do however care about how that specific woman approaches sex. Listen, I can understand how some men who have been rejected for years by women are skeptical about a woman being interested in them at later points. I will also say from my anecdotal experience, that I have talked to women who married men that they would not have dated or have sex with when they were younger. And with some of those women, they weren't really physically attracted to thei…

Men do this too. My comment was to both genders, not just one specific group.

No problem and let me preface that I'm not into the whole gender thing like some people are, so my response generalized to both genders. If I can sum this up easily, I have found that historically traditional men were men that could provide financially and socially to a woman. A traditional woman is one who stayed home with the kids and maintained the house. Now we have a lot of untraditional men that don't have good jobs, have horrible credit, can barely take care of themselves etc. And I have …

Untraditional people want traditional partners.

I don't think you need to be the best sexual partner (hopefully I'm not wrong), however, that doesn't mean that your partner shouldn't be working with you to accomplish this. I think this issue arises the most when people put their partners in boxes i.e. "you're the person that I fuck" and "you're the person that I can date." Sadly for some people (and in my anecdotal experience, this seems to be more promiscuous people), when your placed in the box, you can't get out of it. I've found that if y…

Like I said, I really do appreciate your honesty. I'm not giving you hate for that. I am saying that the mindset you have isn't healthy for you or the people you date. I think it puts very unfair expectations on them, but also yourself. In addition, I think its toxic to believe that you deserve better treatment because you're the more attractive one. Again, I appreciate the honesty, but I will criticize a mindset that I believe to be toxic.

Listen, even I have to agree that this is insulting. Based on some of the responses I have made by you and others, it appears that you feel that men should be grateful that someone who is more attractive than them is giving them attention. Do you not see the hubris there? If people are going to have the mentality of "I'm the better looking one, so I should be worshiped", then they don't need to be in relationships. What you just described is toxic.

I'm sure this is overblown, but I read a few posts by people in Relationship Advice reddit that stated because previous relationships or casual experiences were very physical, they didn't want that type of pattern for their LTR. I think for some people that develop a "been there done that" mentality, sex isn't a primary need in that relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/21 01:27 PM

I will happily concede that men who have the mentality that you're speaking of are blowing this issue out of proportion. Just because a woman doesn't fuck you on the first date doesn't mean she isn't attracted to you. I feel like these men don't take into account that people can grow and learn from previous behaviors. However Lilith, I can also concede that there are women who are partnered with men that they really aren't attracted to physically and because of that, the attraction they have for…

Even though I agree with you. The decision to keep Amber Heard on Aquaman was completely a business decision. Depp was winning in the court of public opinion. The worst thing he did for himself is take her to court and lose. The judge legally labeled Depp as an abuser. If the studio would have fired Amber Heard, they would have run the risk of supporting a legally labeled abuser in Depp. If there is any consolation, I did hear that they are filming that movie in a way that can cut her scenes out…

Goddamn, you and your straw men arguments. Where did I say that a woman needs to have sex with a guy immediately? Check my posts again. I didn't say or insinuate that. I will say this again for the fourth time. Sex for people (not just men btw) typically isn't the most important part of their LTRs. But it is important. You effectively stated in your posts that your partners are their to service YOU. What you want out of relationship you get, and if that guy want something himself well too fuckin…

As you shouldn't. The point I'm trying to make is that your viewpoints encourages that behavior. You're going to be hard pressed to find many men (or women for that matter) who don't view sex as an important aspect of the relationship. Again, I'm talking about forcing women like yourself to do things they don't want (thanks for the straw man btw). I will say this, if you're going to put people in specific boxes, then you need to let those partners no where they stand with you. I'm sure that your…

I agree with what you are saying. It doesn't help that I responded to two women on here that stated that's how they approach their relationships. Again, I agree that the problems these dudes bring up are completely overblown. But it doesn't help when you have people on this board and in their personal lives that validate what they think.

Based on what I've seen in on this page, its obvious that a lot of people, especially men value sex that way. Also, when or where did I mention about pressuring a woman into sex? I stated that people need to be putting their best foot forward in their LTRs both physically and emotionally. I dated women with your views and sex with them was such a clinical experience. In addition, I think your post just validates what a lot of these dudes are saying. I'm sorry to say that its these types of posts…

Yeah, but if the passion and enthusiasms isn't there to begin with, then that's a problem. I understand that familiarity and monotony can kill sexual desire, but this doesn't occur until later in the relationship.

So I guess the rub for me is, why can't it be both? The compartmentalization that is going on with people needs to stop. Why should I pick one type of relationship for fun sex and the other for emotional intimacy? It amazes me that people approach their relationships this way. I understand that sex isn't the most important factor in a LTR, but its still exceedingly important. I'm pretty comfortable with my self and I know my worth. If I felt that my partner didn't see sex as important and was un…

I'm not some red pilled dude that needs a servant as a wife. I have a mother and I don't need another one. So what I'm looking for is a partner. For that to happen we need to share the same values (politics, religion, life, sex), she needs to be loyal, we need to be able to resolve conflicts in a healthy manner, she needs to be able to communicate her feelings (really important to me), and most importantly we both need to be putting our best foot forward in the relationship.

Exactly!!!! Like I understand that there are some women out there that wait to have sex with men they really like, but that typically hasn't been my experience. Historically, if a girl liked me, we were off to the races. If she was unsure about me, then we waited. In addition, its like some of these dudes forget that if they feel that the energy they are putting in isn't being reciprocated, then they can move on. Lastly, if you ask women how they feel about you, they will typically tell you. No …

Either before the first date or during, I talk about how I date. I don't ask women if they date the same way, but I do say that I may not be the guy for you if they don't. Its worked out so far.

I don't have a problem with Only Fans women. However, I think that profession is destroying men, especially young men. All it does is provide a band aide for people who feel that they can't find love or sex in real life. So instead of learning ways to improve themselves or putting themselves out there to learn what they like or don't like, what you get is men PAYING for attention from women. I get it, and I understand that people want to feel wanted. But the feelings that these guys get from the…

So because I don't like to have sex with a woman when I'm vetting another woman for a relationship, that makes me an "only child?" I'm the oldest sibling btw hahaha.

I agree. I think that sometimes it can work, but I do think that someone in either group A or C would have to compromise something. I can understand dating multiple people, but I can't understand people that have a FWB(s) while looking for serious partners. I often find that these people are very unwilling to put those relationships on hold while they are searching for serious partners. In addition, I really do think that you need to be in the right mindset to appreciate that serious partner. It…

Depends on the dude. When I was younger, yeah, I was definitely crazy about sex. As I've aged, I realized that yes sex is important, but its not the end all beat all in a relationship. I don't mind if someone makes me wait for sex. A lot of times, that actually does increase the sexual tension between the two. However, I do have a problem with a woman making me wait for sex while she's out having sex with another dude. I'm done entertaining those women.

So I have had a lot of the same concerns as you while dating. For me, I would say that I am somewhere in between A and C. I do date intentionally, and that main intention is to look for something meaningful. However, I also tend to multi date. Personally, I've found that this helps me from getting too attached to someone too soon. If I'm able to, I typically go on 3 to 4 dates with a very small group of women (no more than 3), and go from there. With that being said, just because I'm dating mult…

Yeah, but women aren't the ones that are keeping men from forming these communities. The fact is that us men see getting mental health or going to a domestic violence shelter as weak. Men have been the barriers to these issues, not women.

Maybe my situation might help some people out. So I'm 6'5, physically fit, and have a decent job. Based on those characteristics, I'm sure some or most of the dudes on here will call me a chad. However I need to highlight something, even with all those things going my way, I have been in relationships where I had sex on the first date or months into the courting phase. So, I don't think its necessarily an AF/BB scenario. I think different women just have different standards for sex, and guess wh…

You do know that open relationships suffer from cheating as well right? A lot of open relationships still have rules set out in terms of who you have sex with, how many times you hook up with that person, how emotionally attached you get to that person , where hooking up occurs, and if you are using protection or not. Trust me, they're people in open relationships that break those rules all the time.

Cheating rarely has anything to do with the relationship, and more to do with the person that is cheating. Go on cheating subs and you will see both cheaters and their betrayed admit that they had pretty solid marriages before cheating occurred. A lot of times people cheat because they just want to escape from their lives. Cheating allows people to effectively role play with another partner, so they don't have to be a spouse, parent, or partner. While they're cheating, they can be anyone they wa…

I would say that there is a huge difference between dating and hooking up with multiple people. I'm hard pressed to find anyone (male or female) that could take someone who is hooking up with multiple people seriously. Dating multiple people on the other hand is completely advisable to me. I'm talking to three women right now, and its keeping me from getting attached to just one.

I respect that and agree with you. I believe that everyone who has the capability of dating multiple partners in the early stages should do just that. Last thing anyone wants to do is get attached to the wrong person. I do want to emphasize the non-sexual date aspect though. Unfortunately, I have gone on a few dates with women who are looking for serious relationships, but have a FWB on the side. Sadly for me, I have trouble taking women in those situations seriously. Again, very based response.

The difference is though, chemistry can develop over time. Compatibility doesn't. Listen, I'm not saying people should date people they aren't attracted to. But this one and done dating thing is kinda weird to me. I would have missed out on amazing relationships if I would have judged my ex partners on one date. Sometimes people are just nervous and don't come off well the first time you meet them. Again, not saying date someone you aren't attracted to. But I will say that maybe give someone you…

Which is cool. But I also believe that this behavior is contributing to more single never been married people in their late 30s. So many people are nixing people that they may be compatible with in the long run. We are effectively taking what we value in the short term and trying to apply those standards to ltr. And lets be real, just because you have crazy chemistry with someone, doesn't mean you are compatible with them. Whats the point of being wildly attracted to someone who doesn't put you …

I do think a lot of men go through this phase, it just happens to them in their 30s. Sadly, I think what the issue is that the SMV of both genders don't peak at the same time. When me in their 30s start getting more attention (I can attest to that), I think they feel that they have to make up for the time they missed. However, women in their late 20s and early 30s are typically looking for something meaningful at this point. I've lost count of the amount of social media posts by women in their 3…

I think the issue is that a lot of people date for chemistry as opposed to compatibility. If someone doesn't immediately feel sparks, they typically will next you. I've been reading up on this a lot and some of the recommendations I've found is to at least not judge someone off of just one date. However, with OLD being what it is, it constantly gives people who have options the idea that there is always someone better. Hell, I know people who will continue to swipe on their dates. I think the pe…

Please don't give me that crap. I know the type of person I am, so please don't assume that you know me. Just because I attempt to treat women with respect, that makes me a pushover??? Next time actually contribute something constructive to the conversation instead of making assumptions about someone you don't know. Thanks for playing though.

For me, its not that I'm not attracted to very successful women. In fact, they are my preference. However, I don't discount women who may make less money than me or less ambitious. I think people are filtering out way too much and for the wrong reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 03:31 AM

I date for compatibility not chemistry. As long as I'm reasonably attracted to someone, then I will give it a shot. I guess you can say that I date woman for their values. If you appear to want a ltr, are a nice person, we want the same things in a relationship, then I will date you. I don't know if you were looking for a flippant response from me. Again, I'm not here to start drama. I will leave that to these lost cause dudes. I just wanted to give a different perspective. Not all of us guys ar…

So hopefully I can give you ladies a gentlemen's perspective. I completely understand where you ladies are coming from. I really do miss the times when men used to court women, and it wasn't just for sex. Speaking for myself, I alway date compassionately and with a purpose. That purpose isn't to have sex, but to find something meaningful. I'm 6'5, very fit (used to compete in mens physique competitions), and have a steady job as a nurse. I have lost track of the times I have been friend zoned, g…

What??? If I recall, over 80% of black men marry black women. The marriage rate has gone down in our community because African Americans are worse off financially as compared to our Caucasian counterparts. Getting married and having kids is expensive. I know a lot of black women have it inundated in their heads that black men are leaving them for white women, but the numbers don't support that.
