You’re taking it out of context and generalising. The comment section is not regarding human rights/social equality, neither was my comment about it. You probably missed the part about critical thinking and rationality to suit what now seems your pity party whining.

Well you wouldn’t know they are not what you’re looking for if you haven’t tried. It’s perfectly fine to change your mind about someone after you get to know them. I don’t see how that would make me not want to meet and get to know other people. Dating for men has always been a quantity game, it’s nothing new it’s just how it works. Men give out their sexual desires and wants to everyone, anytime and anywhere. Thats why women have the “picking”. In animals it’s exactly the same scenario, the male…

As human beings we are equal and equality in what exactly in romantic relationships? Chatting someone up is not a relationship. I chat strangers outside, without knowing anything about them. Are some cool and we had a connection and became friends-yes, are there people who make it weird and awkward-yes. Same applies to romantic interests.

What do you mean by women should make the dating scene more equal? The difference I see between men and women dating in majority of cases - women match intentionally, men swipe all and get intentional after a match. And after all, we are different. As a woman, I see no need to put in the effort to get to know you, because I expect you liked me and wanted to know me more. You approaching me is that sign to me. If I’m not interested I will tell you off politely. Dry responses are not always a sign…

I don’t know about your scenario, but if you think texting first is a lot of effort - we don’t see it as effort. It’s natural for men to show interest, how you show it is the “winning” strategy. If you’re trying to keep a dull conversation most probably I won’t engage, even if I reciprocated the interest at first. To give you an example to what I mean- I was on a dating app in the beginning of the year, matched a dude he had a witty bio and opener and I reciprocated the energy. We moved to Insta…

Yes, precisely what I’m saying. Not only for me but for my friends too. We do open requests and such messages but what exactly is there for us to do? It’s not a opener or convo starter, we don’t care about a random “Hi/How are ya/some compliment” from a stranger nonetheless. We know you don’t care about it, just shooting your shot to see if it will reach. That being said, men who texted with a reference to something I posted, sharing their view/experience and actually engaging in a conversation …

As a woman- yes. It’s not about the flooded Dm’s 9/10 times they are flooded with some weirdo’s or “cool men” expecting a reply to a reaction or some emoji text. If you’re dating for looks, don’t be disappointed when personality and/or interests don’t match up to your expectations. There is a 0% change of getting attentive response if you are just a stranger with “Hi, how are you”. This comment should be pinned as the most probable answer to such questions.
