If you were a stay at home dad you should be getting child support. Go after child support.

Mainly my son. Lawyers for women tell their clients to fake being beaten . Your out of the house without seeing your kids till you get a trial date with the backed up courts. At that point it's probably a year or two without seeing my son. Then I get to see my son because the judges see that it was fake. My wife only has a minimum wage part time job. She can't take care of herself especially where we live. Her and her mom keep saying how they want to move to florida . They would probably take my…

Don't accept her back. She is trying to pawn this kid off on you.

Ring cameras are not small. Should be easy enough to find.

Each sub I am on has been bombarded with AI posts. Some are for a product and some just posting for no reason.

No because she will do that for a while then take you to court and use that as proof against you.

Do not move out. It's considered abandonment.

If she is asking for money and does not even have the kids you ask for child support. She's asking for a ton of money and it's only fair. You need to start sticking up for yourself

I would ask for child support at this court date

The issue with my wife is she only cares about her problems and not my own. I see that alot on here. Communication only works if its two ways.

You need a lawyer.

No way. Your basically supporting her. Just start the process and move on.

Do you have the deed to the house? If you do put it in a safe deposit box.

I know exactly how you feel. It's like that now. My wifes general DR and mother tried to get her on meds for it and she used the naseau side effect as an excuse. It's the same for my wife. If we divorce my wife cannot fend for herself. I feel at a certain point you have to stop thinking about her and only think about you.

She wants it amicable because if you get a lawyer and she has property you can possibly get half.

If you don't have a court order she can't force you to leave. Only the courts decide who gets the house/appt. Don't leave until you get it worked out in court. Get a lawyer.

My issue is NY still has a lot of very old fashioned Judges. If I get one of those judges I might get less than 50 percent custody. I am hearing 30 percent seems to be normal by me.

My wife discovered Facebook and now that's all she does. The only reason why I am not getting divorced is my son . The issue is my wife hates me and always is against me . Even if my son is wrong she has got him yelling at me when I try to scold him or something. Like an hour ago he was being nasty online to some kids that where being nasty to him and I told him to stop and close the game. My wife turned around to me and yelled at me that he can do what he wants. She complained because I was int…

Be careful . Do not try to get your son against his mother. Try to keep him out of it.

I didn't read the other post but you sure she didn't cheat on you? Women like to blame men for something they just did .

Don't say anything. You know she lied to them and that's all that matters.

Maybe a lawyer talked sense into her. Told her let him see her and you get to kinda control it or have courts force it and you have no control.

Get a good lawyer and try to make the best deal they can with the wife. I readone of the links here and where I am in NY what they wife wants is the default for the state. Meaning 30 percent for the father.
/r/Divorce_Men09/12/24 07:04 PM

I wouldn't let the Judge decide. A lot of judges are still old fashioned. What the wife wants is how most judges still think.

You might not like what you hear on this sub. You are doing they same thing to him as your father says he is doing to you. You are telling him its either his family or you.
/r/Divorce_Men26/11/24 07:36 PM

Good. Then maybe you can get 50/50 and child support since she makes more.

The funny thing is she is just like Trump for doing that. You don't need her in your life.

One of my friends just stopped working security at a hospital. I will never be with somebody that works in a hospital. He said they all cheat at the hospital. He had all the nurses asking to have sex with him. It got so bad he had to quit . I'm not sure why that happens at a hospital. He said it was the Dr's and the nurses.

I think a judge can throw out a prenup and grant her alimony anyway. I would break up with her and find somebody else.

Good job. Make sure to hammer in the drinking when you go for custody. My father in law died suddenly because of his drinking at 64. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/21994-alcoholic-cardiomyopathy

I was thinking of doing this with a house. I can't afford to pay child support and for her house onto of mine.

Not everywhere. Depends on the judges. Many old timers believe in the husband's get them for the weekend every two weeks. This is a huge problem here in NY. The attorney is important to fight for 50/50

Sometimes its how they are raised and not their parents themselves.

I would get an appraisal and just have them buy you out. This way you know you get exactly half.
/r/Divorce_Men03/05/24 06:08 PM

In most states everything is divided in half. I don't know how much they GOT as you put it. The ex is legally allowed half. Thats how it usually works.
/r/Divorce_Men15/11/23 11:58 AM

If it's less then half then yes but if it's more than half then she can't.

If you can get friendly with your ex Wifes mother over how crappy her daughter is, You can have her watch the kids. Maybe get in writing no contact with your ex while she is watching them. That is if you get 100 percent full custody.

Fudge it. Tell them why should you take the fall for her. If they were young I would say no but at those ages they deserve to know why.

I think this varies by state but usually the pension is an asset that can be divided.

If you're already living separately I will say no don't do it.
/r/Divorce_Men25/09/23 05:43 PM

It should be 50/50 split unless otherwise granted. Not one person or the other at all. Your logic states if I file for divorce because abuse by my wife she gets the kids even though I filed?

I think the fact its criminal court matters. Criminal court they do not like lies. Family court is different.

I would have come to a mutual decision. She could ignore you all together on something you really want her to talk to you about.

My issue is the politically/judge connected family. With judges retiring chances are getting better on them not knowing who my father in law was but I would have to hope I get one who doesn't know who he was.

I am trapped because I live in a NYC suburbs. My wife makes minimum wage and a divorce would cost me $2.5 k a month and I would not be able to afford to live on long island after that and would be homeless. I would have a 50 percent shot at not seeing my son ever again. My father in law was a lawyer before he died and knew a lot of the family court judges. I would have no chance in family court. Wife said to me right out she doesn't love me and no more sex. Wife also says everyday how she wants …

Get out now before you graduate.

This is my suggestion as well. At some point it will look to the judges that the mother will be trying to suck money from the kids if the father is living with you. My experience with my grandfather dictates do this now. while he can agree to it . Once he gets worse he might say no.
/r/Divorce_Men21/07/23 11:48 AM

Maybe not but you do have proof she has them. you might be able to negotiate the value for them.

This is the one of the only reasons why I haven't divorced my wife yet. She says the same thing and I am really worried that she would take our son with her. My suggestion is really to report it to the police so it is on file. Also, make sure your son knows what to do in an emergency, who to call, and your number by heart.

Was that done with a lawyer? So she can pretty much move where ever she wants?

yup. Sounds right.

Cops will not touch a vet. I had a vet almost kill me because I couldn't let him in due to typical bumper to bumper lie traffic. Cops told me nothing he can do because he is a vet unless he kills me and walked over to the vet in his car and told him to leave.

I would get a lawyer and fight. Even if you lose , you will have the paperwork later in life to show your son when he comes back looking for you. To show him you tried everything you could. At least your conscience will be clear.

It is more likely she realized she can't afford to live by herself even with the support payments.
/r/Divorce_Men12/06/23 11:53 PM

You really dont want to do that. They will tell the mother who will tell the judge.

I am in the same situation except for 1 thing. My wife can't take care of herself. Half my salary would most likely go to her if we divorce. I might be stuck waiting till my son turns 18.

I don't know what to say. My friend works at a hospital and says some really bad stuff about the nurses there. Are you sure she isnt actively cheating on you?

If this goes to court you have a decent chance in NY. My sister's ex fiance literally beat her and dragged her around the house by her hair. Still got 50/50 custody. Just make sure to fight for it.

Look at what happen to twitch. Everybody wondering why he committed suicide. Nobody looking at the fact that men are not allowed to have feelings.

Not sure about the UK but in the US they tend to side with the mother. You do not want to kick the mother of the children out. Unless she is on drugs or abusive the best a father can get is 50/50. You will not get that if you kick the mother out. He has to prove to the courts he is not vindictive and that he can be trusted.

I think it depends on the area? My sisters ex literally beat her (my sister) and he still got 50 percent custody of their daughter. This was NY oswego area.

My suggestion is to get a lawyer and get a real court custody agreement.
