Asking for a discount isn’t rude. It’s negotiation. She acted like a beggar about it, okay, he didn’t need to reply that way. It was rude and unnecessarily harsh. He could’ve really just told her he doesn’t do discounts and that her being a single mom doesn’t affect the price, instead he chose to reply in a rude way.
