Lol okay, let's go with the "real men, not little boys!" thing Fair enough. Guess I'll be a boy forever. It's just a nicer time, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 05:02 PM

Exactly. I mean, obviously, there's an obligatory "to the extent you can" towards lessening job or house stress. But I really don't get how much anger circles around these things - like you said, a lot of it revolves around different standards, too. And nobody has to be in a relationship. If men are that difficult, then I dont get the anger. Steer clear and they'll either fix it or they won't and have to accept being by themselves. That is on us, at that point.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 04:51 PM

I'm fine with different opinions. I just gave you the point - if men aren't worth bothering with, well, then don't. You're free to decide that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 04:48 PM

Alright. Like I said, if it's that bad, don't bother. Exactly to your point.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 04:43 PM

Well sure, Generally, whenever I see a sentiment like the one above by the other commenter here, I just don't get the purpose of doing all that work if it comes with so much resentment You can keep a household free of filth in about two hours if you're willing to half ass it merely to organized chaos; a bit cluttered but kept where you can find stuff. Same sentiment with work and money. If your job pisses you off that much, do something less.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 04:29 PM

I mean, that's up to the individual couples. But there's a baked in level of stress for the higher income partner. Again, regardless of gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 03:40 PM

If you are that mad, don't do those things. Also do note that I specifically said this was not gender specific. If the man has the lesser job, he has more energy to do the other stuff, all the same. Edit- you can also just... not bother being with men in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 03:39 PM

The income gap is basically just a division between married men and everybody else. Single men, single women, and married women have no such difference. The "chore gap" isn't the issue - it's the lack of a stress gap. Meaning, a man that has the stress of such a high stakes job is not going to have the energy to do as much around the house. Women either need to earn a similar (or greater) amount of money or do more housework. And before people jump down my throat, the same holds true the other w…

Well, if it gets bad enough, it lowers expectations enough to where these things are easily reachable. "Oh wow, a guy that remembered 3 things I said. " "Oh wow, a woman that paid for her own coffee". Eventually, you'll feel so alien from each other that you'll be shocked when you aren't and, God forbid, maybe even mutually care about each other.

Isn't it more selfish to want someone to spend on you?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 06:51 PM

There's a tacit agreement between feminism and traditional conservatism that men aren't worth care. A situation like this? Either you're an oppressor or a pussy. In both cases, you end up hating yourself too much to see how badly you're being treated - "I deserve it" is the message you get all day, in one form or another. Whoever actually addresses men's need for self worth and support wins the gender wars. Nobody is really doing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 03:57 AM

Remarkable how this kind of thing always ends up being more hateful to men than anything feminists say. Men are stupid, men are too horny to think through anything, etc. And yet the problem is "women aren't changing into nicer people to talk to"...
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 11:15 PM

Fortunately, it's... back from the grave. (Pun completely intended)
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 05:54 PM

Yup. Also all the dark witchcraft stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 05:45 PM

Ngl, I'm so turned on rn
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 05:40 PM

Yeah, even the terminology itself is just fucking weird and not how anybody talks in real life, which indicates the social deficit that they then complain of. If you want to have a better shot, working on social skills enough to so much as talk remotely normal should be your first priority.

Eh, the biggest problem with Red Pill ideas is simply that they presume "Chad" and "Stacey" to be bad people and the incel/nerd crowd to be these kindhearted guys who never get a chance. The hot ones can also be the kind ones The best avenue these guys actually do have is to just be good people and their entire attitudes and views show the opposite. Elliot Rodger was not a better person than the captain of the football team who raises money for childhood cancer charities lol Sometimes, the "alph…

"Women are never denigrated and denigrating people is pathetic" proceeds to denigrate women the rest of the post I mean... You're right, in the title, I guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 04:02 AM

I'm just not sure why that would differ been hookup and dating per se but I guess dating comes with greater chance of obsession?

I never disagreed with any part of that lol

Relativd to baseline, I think the last 3 years of inflation has taken some of the edge off bc everyone is broke. Not just them
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 06:41 PM
1

I'd also posit that inflation has actually decreased social pressures on men in this way because if you're broke on 30K or 200K, what's the difference?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 04:58 PM

I'm not personally worried about women, I'm seeing this in how other men are navigating their relationship to women writ large We all have individual lives though
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 04:55 PM

Right, like mutual lust is all you need for that
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 04:41 PM
1

I dont disagree with that necessarily but the complaint is generally about women Plus, it's always up to the individual how they evaluate money vs. happy job And yeah, you can have a happy job and make good money Or be happy with a shit job that pays a lot All just how you prioritize it
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 04:40 PM
2

I don't disagree with any of that I'm trying to convey an angle of "men aren't hopeless but it's also on us to choose a better life, even if we've spent awhile not being happy", basically
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 04:39 PM

I'm just not sure what exactly you're expecting? "I don't like people like you!" "Well, fuck you too!" What's so mysterious here?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 03:18 PM

"I'm viewing somebody who fits this category negatively, why are they seeing me negatively back?" seems like a really foreseeable chain of events...
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 03:17 PM
1

Sure but that's not what I'm saying here I think simply that men have a longer leash to do what they want than in the past. Not that money and stability are non-factors. They are for everyone, and to roughly the same degree between men and women nowadays, which lessens the gap and jealousy between, well, honestly both genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 03:12 PM

And ah ha! "Money is irrelevant to hook ups but quite a factor in relationships". That's a point I've been circling around but couldn't put my finger on.

That's my point lol

Of course they do Traditionally, the pressure just isn't equal

I hate the past and am trying to figure out how to keep it from coming back lol. I think the people who idealized it would hate it within about 5 minutes of the 50s coming back. Nobody wants it and the ones that "do" are emotionally stunted people that don't even understand themselves. Your freedom is my freedom, even though it's from the other side.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 07:43 PM
2

I agree entirely. Which is my overarching point - you're better off being an enjoyable person than just throwing money at women nowadays lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 07:39 PM
1

What point am I supposed to make beyond "yes getting an education and making money is good but the pressure for men to do that, relative to women, is much less than in the past. Thus men have more freedom to pursue enjoyable lives - or at least more in common with women"?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 07:36 PM

"Life sucks and then you die" is a lot easier to bear if you're not alone in it, especially if the extent to which it applies is basically equal across the population Same reason suicide rates dipped during the Great Depression Everything sucked for everyone
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 07:09 PM
1

You were taught the proper harmony to it then
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 07:04 PM

And you make it sound like you can only have one or the other Yeah, sure, you have to make money to like eat food and shit. But there's more wiggle room. You don't have to work in a coal mine and society needs less from you anyhow

You don't think fights over abortion, birth control, workplace vs. domesticity, those same men floating the idea to repeal the 19th amendment... that those don't ride together?

A 30k a year wife with a 70k a year husband does not change the dynamic here. A 70k a year wife with a 30k a year husband? Absolutely does Now he has the opportunity to do what he wants and even be a stay at home dad, if the situation makes sense That, too, though? He has to take the opportunity Still takes a 2 generational turn - from men deciding to take a different path and cut their losses, to sons seeing it from the start.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 05:56 PM
2

The thing you're not getting is pretty simple - you are going too far back in time and thus misreading the situation. Your points are fair enough if you move your clock forward to about the last 10 or 20 years. Why this matters is because it changes the point on the cycle that people are in now
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 05:32 PM
1

I mean, I'd argue that this may have started in the 2000's and 2010's...
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 05:29 PM

Okay, so explain?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 05:28 PM

I don't think those two things are completely disconnected

Lol if you're going to run with "providership has never been relevant for men", I really wish you'd share some of the fun gummies you got.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 04:55 PM
2

Lol you're saying that as far back as the '60's the norm was not men working miserable jobs. That is nonsense. You can argue that as far back as the 1960's, the numbers could technically allow for them not to, if you really want to. The point is that we're basically in the first generation where enough of a shift has happened to get beyond the traditional paradigm. You can disagree all you want, that's your prerogative. But breadwinner households are still, overall, 60/40 men.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 04:47 PM
2

Women working is irrelevant to what dads set their example as. You are not getting that point. What "fiction" are you getting out of this? The opposite sex parent isn't the example kids look to. You could have women make millions of dollars. If a 30K a year man still kills himself working a miserable life, that's the message. There is nothing women can necessarily do about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 04:32 PM
6

Common extrapolations = sour grapes. (Yes. Men do this, too.) You hate men so much that you think they're a bunch of pedophiles? I guess it's fair to say women are into bestiality then, based on dinosaur fucking smut books that are being read out there? I mean, for that matter, Edward in Twilight was 17. Pretty sure Jacob was too. Then Jacob fell for the goddamn baby! Fairies, vampires, tentacles, werewolves. I mean, at a certain point... wtf

No longer on the market but when I was years ago, it was basically to have a person who could shield me from myself. I've got hella OCD problems, to agoraphobic levels, so striking out on my own would result in hospitalization/early death from stress or poverty... or merely a pretty shitty time, at best Being able to have a side by side example of it being okay to simply go about the day, pathetic as it is... basically a tether to a semi-normal life I know that's entirely selfish, but it's hones…

Okay so women are 14 percent more likely to earn 70K? How does that oppose my take here?

Well yes, but only in a "just passing by" sense
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 03:10 PM

Which exists the same way as video games and porn all day - chasing women is an escape, ultimately. It isn't something you really need to be doing, you're not going to die. And evolutionarily speaking? You're a better partner if you're happy and interesting now. Money is always nice. But it no longer seems to matter to you guys more than just having somebody that makes your daily life lighter, happier, and more curious.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 03:05 PM

That's entirely my point though - it no longer has to be the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 02:58 PM

And it takes 18 years to form a new batch. A long time to wait, but not an impossible change.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 02:56 PM
2

Sure, but is that what they see? If that can shift, which i do think it can, then they can see nice as an option.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 02:52 PM
1

No. But you should take heart that kids are seeing differently in their lives now and perhaps fathers will show sons that they don't have to destroy themselves to belong and that the next batch can be better. Do you think we're not largely humans with the same feelings and observations? If women changed, do you think men incapable of it?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 02:50 PM
4

Nobody gives a shit what people say unless it matches what real life shows. What's it say to men that Trump is president? You can say all day long that men should be kind and collaborative and so on - and that such a path is the good one. But that's a gigantic uphill battle when what you see in practice is so very different.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 02:49 PM

Are we? Whatever temper you take - UBI Bernie bro or MAGA trad wife pusher - men seem rather restless now lol

Because they had no alternative shown. Women only did feminism because they had a huge contrast from being able to work, just as importantly as men generally did in peacetime, during WWII. Then we piloted traditional roles again in the '50's but women wanted - and knew - they deserved to have options. The proof was there. Thus the 60's and 70's. It's no coincidence that feminism makes big gains after wartime.

What, do you think yourself so special as to be able to speak on behalf of experiences you don't have? Men are mad that they invested their time into a life that they didn't have to. Sure, women have been in the workforce for quite some time But we're talking about generational shifts - you are only now finding a generation of men who see life actually having changed. Their dads still killed themselves for jobs. That was what they observed in practice. This is the first generation of men who hav…

-Of course I only refer to some men. It's simply enough of them to have a big impact. I'm not talking about hate, that's merely a symptom of misery - misery is what I'm referring to -Sure, social media amplifies divides. But these divides also exist in the real world. Social media can't boost ideas that have no basis in reality - a social media movement that says "the behavior of geese is keeping the common man down" isn't going to gain much traction. -Women are trying to hold onto present femin…

Told? No. Shown? Yes. The default dad when I grew up - I'm in my 30's - lived miserably, regardless of what they said. Backbreaking labor, overtime, night shifts, never present with family, alcoholism, and just straight up anger. Which was shown to them by their fathers, and so on. No man grows up listening to shit people say, except if it aligns with what they do. They grow up watching what men do and what "success" - in terms of basic human belonging - means. What do you think it shows men tha…

Both men and women exist in the same economy. Why are the subjective and objective disparities, at least in direction, there - political, attidutinal, voting, education levels, wage directions, labor force participation, singlehood, etc.? Doesn't mean you're wrong about how important those other factors are. What I'm saying is that there's a gap around gender that's causing everyone to hate each other, at least to a greater extent... around gender.

How is it weird af when that's the default notion men have of it, in terms of providership? Just as women think sexiness is transactional to appeal to men. None of your points are wrong- if you actually digest what I'm getting at. The point I'm making is about this moment in time Am I not indicating a more bullish take on these things by saying that this has already changed and merely not been adjusted for on the male side since there's always a transitional generation during changes? The top part is correct. The last part is, at minimum, far more complicated. Look at the stats on income distribution in marriage Look at how their parents lived. Just being told "do what Iove" matters little when you're shown the opposite
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 02:03 PM
3

Yes, and? Men are far more likely to live at their parents house for significantly longer before heading out. Which necessarily means plenty of women go out on their own, at least for a time. The average home isn't the only place you can live independently. Below average homes and apartments also exist.

Typically, yin precedes yang and vice versa Every generation is a reaction to the one that came before. I'm not sure why the next one would be that different Especially given how miserable the current situation is Does it help women either? 40% of American women want to leave the country. That's doubled or tripled in only 10 years. Think they're just over the moon about everything?

Because the expectation levels are different in each realm Doesn't mean men aren't judged at all if they don't have children Nor women if they dont have a job But it is different A mom that doesn't send a kid with a coat thinks she's a child abuser or a failure of a mom A man that doesn't have a job or merely has a low income one thinks he has zero justification to take up space because he is a burden on other people; and shown, and told, as much.

Not really what I'm getting at - The point isn't "you were told", it's "you were shown". Yeah, since 1960, we've been telling boys and girls to grow up, be equal, do what they want. Kids learn by looking at life and actions. You can tell them whatever you want, but at best, it'll only augment what you show, and that's obviously only if your words match your actions The point actually is that men should take accountability for their actions and stop living miserable lives that only make sense if …

Idk, reproduction is probably the biggest instinct people have. This argument applied to feminism back in the day. Nowadays, you can look at the arc of men and it's eerily similar to how the 40's - 70's played out among women. The 00's had the first stay at home dads because women could work decent jobs (40's had the first women working because WW2) Then a reactionary shift back in the '10s (50's was the epitome of trad wife era) 2030's may have men fighting to be stay at home dads like the 60's…

Actually a great example I don't think women want to be whisked away by werewolves, vampires, the fae, tentacles, or whatever the fuck else But, just as with lady smut books, there are a ton of women whose notions of what men want are derived from porn For both smut books and vids - Doesn't mean it's true for any individual person, that it isn't a fantasy exaggerated 100x beyond the real desire there, that there aren't attributes that are accepted which reader/viewer don't like but overlook bc t…

Most people live in a low level constant fear of danger - that's called survival instinct. Women just have a particular "men are bigger" section of it to deal with. OF provides a lot more safety via distance than traditional prostitution. I'm well aware that the average income off OF is something like 200 dollars a month. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying there's a common jealousy of both participants - the man having that kind of money to light on fire and the woman having the body to command it. The woman is often just more visible To the extent she's still blamed more puritanically, yeah, there's a "rules for thee and not for me" control freak thing. Most people, though, are just jealous of the money involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 10:36 PM

That anybody has $10,000 to burn on paying a woman to stuff action figures up her ass - and that her body is hot enough to command such an expenditure - is kind of infuriating when most people are broke af doing 40 hour work weeks for much less appealing assholes.

Right. Up to the individual person if they're willing to risk it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 10:19 PM

Commitments like pets and the expectation that the man does the work necessary for it, decisions on expenses, implicit "you don't care about me if you don't spend a lot on me", lifestyle desired, etc. You're not a team if you're bullying a partner into living your way when he's the one funding it. /r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 06:03 PM

I have no idea how you can draw a line between self identification and necessarily being more naive or less. Plenty of people can correctly identify their own traits and/or have been told by others that they are strong in X category.

The same can be said about men who fear being seen as a creep or false allegations. That shit could happen. That you're not seeing how all of those things exist in a very... complicated relationship with each other... is something. Each of those things is a daily trade off with the others. For example, a competent man may mean a high salary that is only attainable via stepping on other people, which is not kind. A large part of why the gender wage gap persists is because women *generally, simply, individually, * demand the results of it from men. There is an unspoken realization among men writ large t…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 06:39 PM

I'm not! I'm saying that you, and the left more broadly, are so put off by these guys that you're unable to understand why this stuff exists because you can't take listening to the enemy for half an episode. It is and was the same for Fox News, Charlie Kirk, Trump, Joe Rogan, etc. They don't gain popularity by just overtly saying absurd and/or hateful shit all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 02:37 PM

To a proportional degree, that's a real phenomenon! Victim blaming is a real thing! But words are so much less potent than actions and thus many more people are susceptible to believing that, say, a red pill influencer is reasonable than they are "Harvey Weinstein was fine, actually!" But even then, there's a niche effort to rehabilitate that guy's image! And the reasoning behind this dynamic every time is basically "he isn't all bad! He did some good things, too!"
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 02:35 PM

But they aren't obvious if you actually bother viewing or listening to these sorts of things. Again, the hate is a covert 5% sprinkling. a vast majority of what these people say is not hate and rather run of the mill self improvement shit like exercise and work hard.

Andrew Tate has said a lot more than 25 things and he is not the only one of these guys. This is one of the biggest examples of left wing strategic flaws in the modern era. If you never actually listen to a decent chunk of these sorts of things, you're not going to realize that the misogyny/racism/ etc. are about a 5% sprinkling on top of the 95% of relatively reasonable things that these people say. You don't get people to join a "cult" by just full frontal hate. You manipulate people by being …

It isn't simply a matter of misogyny, it's a strange self-improvement "cult" that you are claiming to hate yet echoing the advice it gives these guys - if you actually delve into it and "actually listen" to what they are saying.

Okay but the specific thing being referenced is "being upset that men don't want to interact". Although, "the sorts of men that care enough to distance themselves are probably the ones who shouldn't and vice versa for the ones that don't" is probably another layer down in all that. You're not going to see the men who aren't there, which may well leave you with the ones who still stick around because they don't grant the space women imply they're wanting these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 01:48 PM

Plenty of women will tell you “looks, money, confidence, and charm will get you laid”, you just have to stop pretending you’re not looking to get laid by a bunch of women. I think its possible to want men to interact well with you. That said, mistrust breeds mistrust. If you don't trust men not to kill you, they're not going to trust you not to hate them. One lends itself heavily to the other. You could just as easily flip this. It's more or less a chicken and egg argument

You may not like it if you get it. I don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 08:47 PM

Although, the one caveat to that, in my opinion, is that main character syndrome creates an extra obstacle to changing how society views your gender. I think a lot of women assume "everything would be better if I were a man" - essentially, the classic "I just want to be heard!" But "being heard" has its drawbacks. One such thing being that you're the center of attention, for better and worse. The moves you make in your life are under more scrutiny.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 07:14 PM

Perhaps so. I don't claim we couldn't.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 04:08 PM

You can just as easily turn this around and have it ring as true. Women expanding their gender role created far more problems than just switching it entirely. So much of feminism has just been a progressive trojan horse for capitalism - more workers to exploit, more consumption, more debt, more anxious lives without slowing down to live sustainably. Would make for a much better and more progressive society if women did a few things, checked them off, and sat on their asses too. Women just haven'…

They tend to put more effort into themselves these days and don't like when men don't. But nothing about that is inherently "better". If anything, it's more often worse nowadays. And forgive other people for not sacrificing their lives for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 05:10 PM

Same can be said for e.g. fathers in 2025. Though I profoundly disagree that women are actually performing better than men beyond education. Education isn't providership. Nor do I think men are performing better than women at parenting. But both have to be more conscientious of the novelty.

Nobody seriously contends that women shouldn't be able to work or have the same opportunities. However, women working has revealed a big disconnect that's eroding how we relate to each other - Women want more, men want less. It isn't healthy but a lot of women actually do that. That's actually my main point. Everyone that wants to date the opposite sex is guessing at what they want because the experience is different. There are so many women that - in the context of sex and relationships- act, dress, and approach everything in ways that wouldn't appeal to me at all, as a man. Around 10 or 15% more college educated women - a close proxy for income - are opting for singlehood as opposed to noncollege women. So the overall notion that women actually are dating down is murky, at best. It seems to be the case that most women either want to date up or at least across; or be single. Rather than date down. That more and more women are outearning men doesn't mean they're actually picking those men.

That's fair but these allegories aren't the same as how humans relate to each other - an interest in a Renaissance Faire isn't really the same as sexual and romantic interest in other people. What I'm really getting at isn't whether Red Pill is effective and correct - I think the entire manosphere is a collective embarrassment for men, honestly. What I'm saying is that it makes sense for those guys to flock to those sorts of things because they complement their observations of what women want. They feel like they're solving a supply and demand problem by becoming a dominant dude that most women seek. Only, the issue is that it's forced and fake. And they'd have better luck figuring o…

/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 09:43 PM

It is if it isn't followed up with lived wants. You also can watch and read a lot about spies and want to be a spy, yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 09:31 PM
3

When did I say basic human rights are or should be dictated by such things? Nor that men should be consuming that shit? All I'm saying is that the submissive in the bedroom and empowered outside are not consistent. Is that such an extreme statement? Is it that out there?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 09:19 PM
1

When did I say you couldn't? You can support and live in any combination of ways. Nor do I think anyone's rights should be effected by that. But there are ways that are more and less consistent
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 09:17 PM
2

It isn't simply a fiction movie. It's a matter of actual decisions on how to orient yourself in romantic and sexual life. I don't really care what one wants or consumes, it is simple consistency that isn't there.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 09:15 PM
8

In the context used above, that's not your dictionary definition of "capable".
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 07:52 PM
6

I certainly don't agree that feminism should've concluded with suffrage when marital rape was legal until 1993, couldn't access credit by themselves until 1974, and couldn't serve on juries - at least federally - until 1984. Those are certainly more niche than voting rights. But it isn't like women have been full equals the entire time. In 2025 however? They're doing at least as well as men and still wanting to have their cake and eat it, it seems to me!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 07:51 PM
2

If it were strictly a 90 minute film, sure. But this is real life, sexually and socially; all the time with people.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 07:46 PM
3

It would certainly be more consistent, yes! I'm not saying women shouldn't be able to vote nor am I even saying that women can't be inconsistent. The "findom" millionaire men thing sure is too! I'm saying that it comes off, ultimately, as wanting to have your cake and eat it too. Also perfectly fine! I just wish more women would admit it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 07:44 PM
17

I've never contended that women should not have the right to vote or work or anything like that - even if all women wanted to be submissive, all humans deserve the same rights. What I'm actually saying, despite being shouted down by all of that, is a lot of the red pill men are flocking to an identity that they think women want, based on what they observe women wanting in private. If 55% of women want a dominant man and 45% of men want to be dominant, that's a gigantic gender gap where yin and y…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 06:11 PM

It isn't consistent at all and one's private sexual proclivities are a better indicator of their real desires than the social roles they simply feel like they "should" play.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 03:00 PM

Social domination rather than sexual doesn't really change the paradigm, imo
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 02:27 PM

Which is still male dominance, to a gigantic degree. All this comment is, is a more vanilla description of the stuff being pointed out by both OP and many commenters. Not a great argument.

50 Shades just splintered off into a million ebooks with even worse fantasies - kidnapping, murderers, mercenaries, Mafia, priests, abuse, violence, and a million other problematic features. If you don't think men aren't looking over all that and picking Red Pill in turn, you're not paying attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 01:38 PM

Yup, biggest example of why feminism just isn't working. A huge portion of the female population reading a thousand pages about a billionaire man with his own plane flogging, degrading, and punishing a woman working at a bookstore makes men think, certainly not unreasonably, that women don't actually want feminism. More women advancing means fewer men can fulfill the above fantasy. As for men? "It is only right that you be free but I'm never going to be in power enough to give you what you want.…

Actually, yes! (Though the focus on sex misses most of this.) A billionaire woman only makes sense with a French maid man. The idea that all roles are equal has created a free for all and the norm has become the toxic power couple thing that never, truly, works. Relationships have to be yin and yang. That doesn't mean there's some hard rule. But 2 billionaires are always going to clash over who matters and resentment will build. Unless equality means both worse women with better men and worse me…

Modern feminism comes off to me like a guy saying: "I expect you to hand feed me grapes while a harem of hot women fan me with palm leaves, lick my ass daily, have a 500k a year job where you pay all the bills and I get to sit on the couch all day, pretend I'm a big shot breadwinner and manly man to everybody else, and let me pick our entire lifestyle." Only slightly more subtle. And I'd love that! But it isn't fair. And it isn't reasonable. It's heads I win, tails you lose. I can honestly respe…

They want patriarchy with benefits. They're confused why we have a glut of submissive men because they don't see how it's impossible for men to take submissiveness in the bedroom seriously while they're CEO. If they want submissiveness sexually, they have to be submissive socially again. Feminism can't square that circle. They don't realize that they ultimately are asking for the 1950's again. Otherwise, it's impossible to take the disconnect between bedroom and outside seriously.

I don't think it's reasonable to expect strict gender role adherence if you're trying to loosen gender roles. All women are finding out is that men, as well, hate our own expectations. My litmus test on dating was always "if she expects me to pay, I'm not picking her".

A lot of this is actually a societal choice many people are making. Birth rates are down basically worldwide. Single women hardly find it that difficult to be content single. Idk man, the entire premise of the Red Pill is that all women are competing for the top 10% of men and thus it's completely impossible for the average guy to bang chicks - so women's nature makes men miserable and lonely virgins, essentially. If women are happier single, that means you're competing against air and losing.

I don't think anyone disputes that. Men are just more honest about our overall shittiness. and also, relatedly, are made out to be the bad guy in every relationship conflict. I think wind would be taken out of the manosphere if more women were just upfront about their personal shittyness in their own life. It would be really helpful for men to see that women's criticisms about men being shitty don't amount to low key dehumanization of our entire gender. If you are shitty too, at least we're not …

That's not even an "incel" thing. It's basically the opposite - "chill out about women because having sex and being in a relationship is not going to rid you of every problem in life" - which is the expectation the entire incel thing comes from And then they'll get mad even if they do pair off and have sex because the reality of it will never match their expectations and obsessing over it anyway Which is essentially the point OP was making I just think the main reason why men are acting this way…

It is much easier to pick out systemic issues for women - rape within marriage not even being recognized, not being able to work, go to college, and eventually to even get a loan until eye-openingly recently. "Boys suck at school because they've got the running around hormone" within a system that men originally made is a much harder problem to accept.
