Long term, you're right. But when a crisis hits, women tend to know that Chad ain't coming to rescue them. Of course, once that crisis is over, women will exercise whatever options they can and be as mercenary as possible

There is a huge upside to this, though. If it's as bad as you say, then it will result in a man shortage, which will reduce the influence of feminism for a bit. Male scarcity puts women in check fast, especially when there is a simultaneous existential threat. We are going to watch feminism be put on hold in countries where coronavirus hits hardest.
