The prevalence of broscience and pseudoscience in this communityNootropics don't work ? Many of them have clear psychoactive mechanisms of action. Huperzine-A is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. Phenibut is a GABA-B agonist. Many other examples. Those effects hit you like drugs, there's no mistake or placebo about it. Phenylpiracetam is banned by World Anti-Doping Agency. You think those guys bro-science much ? | /r/TheRedPill | 19/04/17 02:15 PM
Passengers: An AnalysisThey also measured baseline happiness of those who won a fortune vs those who ended up quadriplegic after an accident. Baseline happiness went back to normal in a year in both cases. https://www.ted.com/talks/dan_gilbert_asks_why_are_we_happy#t-157437 (about 2:30 in) Makes sense from homeostasis point of view. | /r/TheRedPill | 28/12/16 08:06 PM

My #1 tip for muscle growthWhen there's a lack of scientific study on something as specific as "slow eccentric portion of a deadlift", a peer discussion may be useful. Especially when when there are IFBB pros and other serious lifters pitching in. General consensus is that slow(typical 4/0/2 tempo) eccentric isn't healthy when going heavy, specifically when going below the knees. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/10/16 07:45 PM
My #1 tip for muscle growthIts not about that. Even if you set an appropriate weight where you are able to lower it(but still heavy ie 1-5rm range), slow eccentric can be extremely taxing and potentially damaging even when keeping proper form. Most of the varsity athletes at my gym drop it when going below the knee. quick google: https://forums.t-nation.com/t/deadlifting-eccentric-phase/183625 https://forums.t-nation.com/t/deadlift-dropping-the-weight/192827/4 | /r/TheRedPill | 01/10/16 12:42 PM
My #1 tip for muscle growthEccentric phase not always recommended. Example: Heavy deadlifts. edit: Nice forearms btw | /r/TheRedPill | 01/10/16 08:31 AM
