trans exclusion is male exclusionIf you check the methodology, you may find that they address this issue and or attempt to correct for this (I certainly would if I was conducting such a large population study). | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/03/23 03:24 PM
trans exclusion is male exclusionThat's absolutely not what the paper says | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/03/23 03:18 PM
trans exclusion is male exclusionRead the paper | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/03/23 03:11 PM
trans exclusion is male exclusionFor what? There is evidence (in the paper attached). | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/03/23 03:07 PM
trans exclusion is male exclusionOr this may be a methodical problem | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/03/23 01:48 PM
trans exclusion is male exclusionI think there needs to be some acceptance that there are differences in males and females when viewed on a population level | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/03/23 10:33 AM
trans exclusion is male exclusionThat paper includes a section comparing the criminality of transgender people to that of their biological sex. They found no difference between the rates of violent offences in transgender women and rates of violent offences in people who identify as male I can see your point - any difference in criminality should not necessarily mean that there should be spaces for females only. Can you see my point though? There is evidence that transgender females are more likely to be involved in violent cri… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/03/23 10:29 AM
trans exclusion is male exclusionThere is evidence to suggest that transgender women are more likely to be convicted of violent offences than people who are biologically women. Their offence rate is more similar to people born male than to people born female. https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0016885 | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/03/23 10:05 AM
trans exclusion is male exclusionI don't really see the problem with having some spaces which are female only spaces and I think calling someone a TERF for suggesting that is a problem. There are solid arguments imo why female only spaces should exist and should continue to exist. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/03/23 08:49 AM
"Girls get extra school help while boys get Ritalin" from 2003The threshold for diagnosis has been lowered and knowledge of the condition in education has increased. Frankly, I think there's considerably too much diagnosing and labeling of conditions. If someone is unable to function in a 'normal' setting, then diagnosis can serve a valuable function and can provide access to funding etc. There's a growing trend for people who function well to throw around labels like autism, ADHD and OCD. So much so, that these labels tend to lose their meaning | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 22/02/23 08:09 PM
"Girls get extra school help while boys get Ritalin" from 2003You're working on the assumption that there's an equal incidence of ADHD in males and females, which isn't necessarily the case. I know there's a lot of discussion about autism at the moment and whether it's under diagnosed in females or whether the condition is less common. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 22/02/23 08:40 AM
