They're used to having their needs met and men come to them because of that old intrinsic worth. And men won't hold them accountable for words, or at least it is quite hard, because we don't want to lose potential sexual partners. And it is hard for men to picture what it might be like on the other side. We have to work for everything or we're nothing. Male disposability.

I hope that if I raise a daughter she has enough self respect to reject hookups. I imagine my hypothetical daughter living like this and posting this on reddit and it fills me with revulsion. It seems there is something missing in how many girls are raised, that they'd think or act like this. The intellect, the self, what you might call the soul is erased and all that is left is base desires. Cumulatively (she stopped after the first three letters) it is impossible to transmit the values underpi…

We don't, but we share the same mammalian instincts. We can understand why lions do. (Not that it is right, just why they don't want to exhaust resources for another lion's child, and all the difficulties that entails.) Of course our morality prohibits us killing children, though in the case of abortion, maybe not so much.

Its funny that women will complain that men are too aggressive and violent, there's all this "toxic masculinity", yet it is also women who predominantly beat children. You'd wonder where they learnt that might is right? (Rather than, responsible use of strength, self-control, domination through competition and other masculine virtues...)

you cannot compete with him Were Uncle Sam's endless pockets gone, imagine how the incentives would shift. There might actually be some thought put into big life decisions. Planning could make a long overdue comeback. No more failed baby trapping chad, but real families. Lower taxes. And a happier life for men, women and children everywhere.

More abortion will make things worse. It brings more single motherhood and promiscuity because it is an 'easy fix' to all consequences of reckless sexuality, and a fairly grisly one at that. You'll only get more burnt out women unable to settle. Women scarred from having a living thing ripped inside them. A society that kills its children quite literally has no future.

She looks worn. The tragedy is that I'd be proud of that look if she was my woman and they were our kids. Doing it all together would bring us close. A woman who continues the precious gift of life, whom I'd be proud to call wife. And yet she chose that. And now she's here. Another wasted woman bearing fatherless kids and the behavioural sink widens to consume yet more of our ailing society.

Such a ministry would be good if they urged other young women to be chaste and avoid unscrupulous men: 'Avoid my mistakes, do not become a single mother! Find a good man when you're young! You can't raise a child well on your own! If you love your child you'll give him the best father you can find. Baby trapping never works.' And other such truth bombs, because the Bible connects love and truth strongly, so that's what Christians should do. Repentance means you admit your past life was wrong, so…

It's brought out when men don't do what they want. The corollary is 'male fragility', eg, in the online responses to men's rightful disgust at that infamous Gillette advert. That one is brought out when men do what they don't want. No absolute standard, just female preference disguised as sociological ejaculation. It's a useful red flag. If she uses such phrases it also means she will be very manipulative in any relationship. Steer clear.

At no point in any of those transactions does anyone care for the kids. It's all centred on the parents and their needs, which means they will be terrible parents. Furthermore, neither mother nor betaboy really want to be there for any qualities they see in each other. It's a relationship born from desperation. Needless to say it won't bode well for everyone involved.

Yes, I think highly of children. If I'm ever asked something by a child in public I'll answer, I don't ignore them. I cringe when I hear others put children down. They are little people and should be cherished as such. But this same high valuation of children means I must disdain those who didn't value their own offspring's future, which was evident when they were out selfishly ploughing the fields, offering their prime youth to fleeting pleasure. So thanks for asking, but I think I'll pass.

This could've been a beautiful moment for a loving couple. I know what joy I'd feel if I saw my woman with a growing child inside. Yet, that didn't matter at all to everyone involved. No. Instead, she chose to have it alone. Tragic. And we all lose. I've the same thought every time I hear of a single mother to be.

9 times out of 10 he doesn’t even give af It's worse when he does. Imagine being with a woman and her former lover is still very much in the picture, while you've been providing for his child. Or imagine being that former lover and the jealousy it would provoke. It is an unwinnable situation and is thus best avoided.

I've read in the news of how a mother 'fought' for her son to have a diagnosis of some medical disorder (autism I think). Fought implies an honourable medical professional had very reasonable doubts. We can assume she went on to find another less honourable appeaser who simply signed the papers. Works well for her, she gets all the admiration and a BBC news article for being a mother to a 'mentally disabled' son. Absolutely levels any chance the son will have a fulfilled, accomplished, happy lif…

It'll be very difficult to recover from that. Most of the elusive HVMs (or any successful stable man) will shudder at the thought of raising another man's child. Why should they when they've the choice of younger women without the baggage and without the same risks? HVMs only become such by careful planning of their futures. They have the choice now, so they'll only value women who thought likewise. This is the inescapable problem for single mothers. I want women to be happy too. But sometimes y…

Yeah, offering the poor sod up for adoption is the most salvageable course. She has a chance of recovery. The child will at least be raised by two parents. You might think that'd be so hard to do, but she hadn't its interests in mind when she chose to have a child without a father. I submit that fathers are by necessity stable, available men, so the man of that moment waives his right to be a father as well.

A 30 year old woman with a job and an education doesn't really have any more value to a man than she did at 19, because men aren't looking for security from a woman. He's not expecting her to provide for him. This thought has been rummaging in my conscience for a while. This is precisely why 'having a degree' doesn't supplant a well-kept woman without one.
