Diet is more important than exercise in nutrition, but for overall health exercise plays a more important role in preventing illnesses and disease, as well as the positive mental impact it has on the individual. You're right though, jobs where you arent very active help kill quicker.

Most people go to Afghanistan and Iraq without getting shot at or blown up too. Still not gonna recommend going there. Just because a country or region is more dangerous to go to, doesnt mean you are going to die as soon as your plane touches on the ground. However, its still important to exercise some critical thinking and check the travel advisory before going overseas. And the more dangerous the country, the dumber it is to travel like you are back in the states.
